Story
Meet Philip, a lovable 3-year-old, Lab/Jindo mix with a heart full of affection! This social butterfly adores people, whether they’re old friends or complete strangers. He’ll happily lean in for pets and belly rubs, even showing his tummy to new acquaintances. He’s especially gentle with children under 10, making him a fantastic family companion. Philip is just as friendly with other dogs, eagerly approaching both familiar and new canine friends for playtime. He tends to get along best with dogs his size, though he’s always up for a greeting. While he hasn’t met any cats, he does have a strong prey drive for birds. With his high energy levels, he thrives on outdoor activities and needs plenty of exercise to settle down calmly indoors. He can be a bit of a leash puller, but he generally follows his person’s lead well. When it comes to food, Philip has no resource-guarding tendencies—he’s happy to share, whether it’s with people or other dogs. He’s also great in a kennel and rides well in the car, even hopping in and out on his own. Philip is mostly an outdoor potty dog and prefers spending time with people over other dogs. Full of love and playful affection, this sweet boy is looking for a family who will cherish him as much as he’ll cherish them! Philip was surrendered after his previous owner found it difficult to care for him and planned to sell him as a farm guard dog. Now, he’s in Coquitlam, BC and ready to find a home where he’ll be loved as a true family member! Story
Meet Marong, a one-year-old Jindo mix with a beautiful white coat and a heart full of love! Weighing in at 16kg, he’s a friendly and affectionate pup who enjoys meeting new people. While he’ll happily approach strangers on his own terms, he’s more comfortable with those he knows well. If he has a favorite person nearby, he tends to stick close to them for reassurance. He’s naturally a bit cautious, so while he may come up to say hello, he’ll shy away if someone tries to grab him. However, given a little time to build trust, he’ll soon be rolling over for belly rubs—and even letting you scoop him up for a cuddle! Marong is gentle with children, but sudden movements and loud noises can make him uneasy. When it comes to other dogs, Marong is still learning his social manners. His playful energy can be a bit much for smaller or shyer dogs, as he loves to chase them when they run away. If another dog barks at him, he’s more likely to bark back out of nervousness rather than aggression. While he gets along well with friendly dogs, he’s not a fan of overly pushy or intimidating ones, so introductions should be done thoughtfully. He tends to prefer one-on-one play over large group interactions and would do just fine as an only dog—especially since he adores human companionship. Marong barks at cat on walks, often raising his hackles when he’s nervous. But no aggression. He has a moderate energy level, enjoying outdoor adventures but also knowing when to settle down and relax afterward. On walks, he has a slight tendency to pull but listens well and is manageable on the leash. He’s most comfortable in quiet areas but can get nervous around heavy traffic. Since Marong is deeply attached to his people, he may howl when left alone in a new environment. When he first arrived at our centre, he howled in his kennel but has since learned to settle in and rest on his own. He’s an adaptable pup who just needs a little time to adjust to change. He’s also food-motivated but does not guard his meals, and he’s mostly used to doing his business outdoors. Marong’s rescue story is as heartwarming as he is—he was found on a mountain, running after someone who had likely abandoned him. A kind veterinary technician took him in, and their clinic’s head vet ensured he was neutered and vaccinated. Unfortunately, his rescuer had to move to Hungary, so Marong found his way to our adoption center, where he’s waiting for a loving forever home. Could that be you? Story
Meet Sunny! Sunny is a 6-month-old (born August 7, 2024) Jindo mix with a beautiful black and brown coat. She currently weighs 10kg and has already been spayed. Sunny can be a little shy at first, but give her a treat, and she’ll warm up in no time! Once she gets to know you, she’ll be the one coming over to say hello. Since she’s still young, she’ll adjust quickly to her new family. She’s comfortable with both men and women and can be picked up and held without any trouble. While she hasn’t met children under 13, she may feel uneasy around sudden movements or loud noises. When it comes to other dogs, Sunny is polite and will say hello, but she doesn’t jump into play right away. She gets along well with her siblings and tends to befriend dogs of a similar or smaller size. High-energy dogs can be a bit overwhelming for her. Sunny is curious about cats—she might try to chase one if she sees it outside, but she could adjust well to a household cat. We’re happy to test her further if needed! She has a moderate energy level—she loves outdoor adventures but knows how to settle down and relax afterward. Since she’s still new to walks, she sometimes gets nervous and flattens herself to the ground when she encounters something scary. However, with a little encouragement, she’ll bounce right back and happily trot along. She’s making great progress with practice! Sunny is a well-mannered pup—she doesn’t guard food from people or other dogs and has no signs of separation anxiety. She’s also mostly house-trained and prefers to go potty outdoors. Sunny and her siblings were rescued from a tough situation. Their mother lived in the small forest, and her owner planned to send the puppies to guard fields or sell them to a dog farm. Thankfully, they were rescued in time, and now Sunny is looking for a loving forever home! ##2297822##

Story
Guksoo is still looking for a loving family He is currently fostered in Barrie, ON. Guksoo is a neutered Jindo mix boy who is about 4 years old.He can be shy at first, but slowly warms up over time, and tends to trust women more than men. Deep down he loves people and wants to be with them all the time! When he first came into his foster home, he was very shy but would timidly ask for pets by slowly pawing at the humans. Now, he has become more social and will come up to strangers with a wagging tail to ask for pets and treats! He still continues to paw at his foster parents when he wants attention, and loves to snuggle and give kisses first thing in the morning. He is okay and gentle with kids, but can be startled by sudden movements. After some time, good food, and lots of walks, he will open up and give you lots of kisses and hugs When it comes to other dogs, Guksoo LOVES to play! And especially loves girl dogs. He loves to run and play with his doggy friends and is excited to play with both new and familiar friends. With his foster sibling, he loves to groom her and give her lots of kisses. However, he is still learning that not all dogs like to play, especially on leash, and he can get a bit frustrated when he sees another dog on a walk that he cant say hi to. He is learning how to be neutral to other dogs while walking and responds well to his handler. He has a medium energy level, he loves going for walks and exploring, and rests well once at home. He has a low prey drive and ignores cats when he meets them while on walks, but sometimes likes to chase birds and squirrels. He is currently fostered with bunnies and lived with a cat for a short time, he is very gentle with them and leaves them alone after a quick sniff. On walks, Guksoo can be a bit excited at first but will eventually relax and walk by his handler’s side, occasionally stopping to sniff. He rarely pulls unless he sees another dog or a small animal but is easily redirected. He is fully potty trained outdoors. Guksoo Rarely barks, only when a stranger knocks on the door or if something new startles him. He has no destructive behaviours and can be left alone in the home without any issues. He loves to chew and enjoys playing with his chew toys or a long lasting treat.  Will you welcome this sweet boy into your family? Story
Meet Ben! A 5-year-old Jindo mix weighing 16kg Ben is a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly if you offer him a treat. He gets along exceptionally well with children under 13 and even allows strangers to pick him up. Once he trusts you, he’ll reward you with his signature move—rolling over to show his belly! With other dogs, Ben is generally friendly but cautious. He’s uncomfortable around larger dogs or those with high energy levels but is more relaxed and amicable with dogs his size or smaller. While he doesn’t initiate trouble, Ben might engage if another dog provokes him, particularly dominant males, so introductions to unfamiliar dogs should be supervised. However, he’s mostly indifferent to other dogs unless they’re particularly territorial. Ben isn’t a fan of cats—he gets overly excited when he spots one on walks and tries to chase them, so a cat-free home would be best. His energy level is moderate; he loves outdoor adventures but is content to relax peacefully afterward. When it comes to walks, Ben is calm and steady enough for even seniors or children to handle, though his love for sniffing means he’ll often pause to investigate interesting scents. Ben rarely barks and is well behaved in a crate or car. He does need a little help getting into the vehicle as he’s not quite ready to jump in on his own. Ben is polite with humans around food but may growl if another dog approaches his meal. However, if the other dog stays neutral, so does Ben. He’s fully outdoor potty-trained but may mark in new environments. Once a loyal guardian of a vegetable garden, Ben found himself homeless when the area was redeveloped, but he’s now ready to find his forever family. Story
Meet Sarah, a sweet and affectionate one-year-old Jindo mix with a soft cream and beige coat. Weighing 12kg, she was rescued from a city shelter and spent six months in foster care before joining our center. This loving girl is now searching for a forever home where she can thrive! Sarah absolutely adores people and warms up quickly with a little attention and a few treats. If left alone in an unfamiliar place, she may drool out of nervousness at first, but she soon adapts by seeking out a new trusted human to bond with. She’s incredibly gentle and patient, even when experiencing things she’s not a fan of—like being picked up for car rides or baths. Instead of barking or biting, she simply whines but remains cooperative. She’s great with children under 13, can be picked up easily, and will happily roll over for belly rubs once she’s comfortable. When it comes to other dogs, Sarah is a social butterfly! She likes to take her time getting to know new furry friends, but once she does, she plays well with everyone. She tends to prefer dogs her size or larger and, when comfortable, enjoys rough-and-tumble play, especially with male dogs. She loves to chase and be chased, making her a great playmate for energetic and friendly dogs. Since she has always lived with other dogs, she may feel anxious when left alone, so a home with another canine companion would be ideal. Sarah hasn’t lived with cats before, but based on her friendly and gentle nature, she would likely do well with them. With a moderate energy level, she enjoys outdoor activities but knows how to relax afterward. She has plenty of experience with leash walking and is great at following her person without pulling. Sarah is food-friendly, never guards her meals, and is generally a quiet pup who rarely barks. While she doesn’t struggle with severe separation anxiety, she does whine when left alone or when her favorite person leaves the room. She prefers doing her business outdoors and, while she’s calm in a kennel, she does whimper a little when first placed inside. View more photos and videos on Facebook (Link to Post) or Instagram (Link to Post) If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and dog-friendly companion, Sarah could be the perfect fit for your home!
