We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. The shelter where Oz came from was asked by Chosun TV, one of Korea’s cable networks, to be a consultant for one of the programs called “Signal: for rescue” for one of its episodes that deal with exposing one of Korea’s illegally established dog meat butchers. Without their consent, though, the TV producers had 10 dogs (one pregnant at the time) rescued from the dog meat butcher resettle at their shelter. Oz is one of the puppies that was born after coming to their shelter. But she wasn’t spayed in time so she got pregnant at the shelter and gave birth to two dogs. Oz was not able to take proper care of either of them, the puppies were eventually taken to a foster home and now both of them live in the States, thanks to American rescues that wanted to take them in. Oz was left alone at the shelter in Korea, but the shelter said they didn’t have the connections or expertise to get these big rescues from the dog meat trade properly publicized for adoption. Oz was supposed to have been placed at a bigger organization in Korea, but the TV producers did not follow up, nor did they take responsibility for the 10 dog’s adoption afterwards. So we gladly said we would help the oh so beautiful Oz who is looking to find that very special home to cherish her as she should be adored. Oz was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Oz was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Talk about absolutely stunning, Miss Oz is such a beautiful girl. This poor girl was ganged up on in the shelter & had her ear bitten but for everything she has been through she is very forgiving & sweet. Oz has a lovely personality, she is warm, friendly & affectionate & oh my, does she love to eat. Some people at first she maybe nervous & hesitant of until she knows & trusts them, then she is good. She is good with men & woman once she knows them. Did we mention you can pick this beautiful girl up & she will let you carry her? She is doing well walking on her harness & leash but still would need work as she does sometimes stop with some people & not want to walk as she gets a little intimidated. She did end up having a foster home in Korea who worked with her on walks & going for runs & we think she would really enjoy a home who would be active with her. We don’t think she ever received this much love before but she radiates her appreciation with us. We do know she adores dogs, she loves them & she absolutely needs another dog or dogs in the home for her to play with, this is mandatory. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Oz & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. Oz’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. Oz rides beautifully in the car & loves a good journey, so great in the car. But then she sometimes doesn’t want to get out of the car so we have to carry her out. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Oz does not like crates & who could blame her. We are also looking for a forever home for Oz where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Oz is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Oz has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & does well. Oz needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, she really enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have her with other dogs. This is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Oz is roughly 44.6 lbs & has put on so much weight with us & oh my goodness does she love to eat. When we got her, she was skinny & you could see her ribs, those days are long gone. She is 1 year old & 3 months & perhaps a Jindo what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed, had a dental/scale & polish, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Oz with bringing her to the US with her travel costs, her medical, her dental, boarding fees etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee covers. Oz has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but in Korea she used to chase the cats so a home with no cats is needed for Oz. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Oz was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Oz’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Oz potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Oz & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Oz who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Oz has an adoption fee of $995 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Another sweet mum who was left behind in Korea, but of course all of her babies were adopted. Dar-Lae, the loveliest fun soul now who had 6 puppies was taken to a kill shelter in Korea. We mean shack outside with a big heavy chain around her neck. She was found on the streets of Korea with her beautiful babies. That in itself is a miracle. While in the shelter she was such a good mum & looked after babies. But the sad reality was people wanted her babies & not her. Thankfully the wonderful Korean rescue went in & rescued Dar-Lae but unfortunately no one in Korea wanted to open up their hearts & home to Dar-Lae so here she is now ready to find that special home who is waiting for this little lady. Dar-Lae was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Dar-Lae was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. It’s now Dar-Lae’s turn to be the one who gets the chance to find that amazing forever home. This little lady when you first meet her is a little shy & uncertain but once she knows & trusts you, you are good. She is the sweetest soul. She has been to hell & back & for everything that she has been through she is doing amazing. Her foster mum said she lets you pick her up, snuggle with her & hug her. She is the sweetest happiest girl you will have the pleasure of meeting. Her foster mum said she loves a good outfit & adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets & will want to sleep in bed with you along with the other dogs. She also said she is really good with being bathed & dried by the hairdryer & such a social butterfly. We don’t think she ever received this much love before but she radiates her appreciation with us. We have been working with her on her leash & harness & does really well considering but, she still would need continued work as this is all new to her. Dar-Lae loves to run & play & adores her dog friends so much. In the rescue her best friend is Dong-Baek. Her foster mum also said she enjoys sitting on the chair & looking out the window. Dar-Lae loves to eat, since she came into the rescue she has put on 2 lbs. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Dar-Lae & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. Dar-Lae’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. She loves to chase her dog friends & foster siblings & play, play play once she is comfortable in her new home. It takes time for her to become comfortable but once she does she is the biggest sweetheart. She will paw at you & give you kisses once she knows you. She compassion & understanding of what she has been through. Dar-Lae rides well in the car & we are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Dar-Lae does not like crates. We are also looking for a forever home for Dar-Lae where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Dar-Lae is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Poor Dar-Lae was adopted & returned 24 hours later due to no fault of her own. Dar-Lae has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & does well. Dar-Lae needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, she enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have her with other dogs. She needs a dog roughly around her age who will play with her as she loves to play. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Dar-Lae is roughly 16 lbs & put on 2 lbs since being in the rescue. She is 4 years old & perhaps a jindo mix, what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed, she had eye surgery to remove a cherry eye, treated for an eye ulcer after her cherry eye removal, treated with antibiotics & pain meds. She was treated for dermatitis, she got a dental scale & polish, dental x-rays & a minor. She is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Dar-Lae with bringing her to the US with her travel costs, her cargo fees, her medical care, dental scale & polish, cherry eye removal, medications for her eye, fluoresceine dye tests, pain meds, boarding fees etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Dar-Lae has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. Story
Quick Facts! Name: Cookie Age: 6 years old Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Collie Jindo mix Colour: Golden beige Weight: 18 kg My Story:Hello world! My name is Cookie and I'm currently 6 years old. When you first see me, you'll just love the way I look. I have collie's narrow head shape with silky golden-beige coat. Too bad I can't show off my appearance now, but please do check my YouTube link attached (don't forget to "Like" and "Subscribe" our channel heehee!) for details! You'll just fall in love with me. Did you know that I love hooman and furry friends? I just love everyone!!! Although I'm crate-trained, when you open the crate, I often jump and run only because I'm just so happy all the time. I'm full of curiosity, energy (not too much though), and love to greet new friends. Yes. I love socializing! When I meet new friends I usually approach them first. For hoomans, when I first meet them, I get so excited that I jump up and down. But don't get me wrong. This doesn't mean I'm being aggressive. So please be patient with me. I'm sure I can improve if you train me. Many hoomans describe me as an intelligent dog and I totally agree with it! It must be my collie DNA or something as I can easily tell how hoomans feel. I think I'm born with it. So again, if you train me, I know I'll be a good companion. Cats? What's that? I don't even know who they are and I have no idea how I'll react when I see them. I enjoy outdoor activities, especially long-walks and hiking as I'm a good walker. It takes a lot of my energy so when I come home, I like to sit and rest peacefully. I usually don't bark and stay nicely in a crate. I also don't guard my food against hoomans and furry friends. I generally take my potty break outside. When I visit new places, I tend to mark so please keep that in mind. I can still remember my first time entering my shelter back in 2018. I was a skinny little puppy and it's already been 6 years ever since! Despite my time in the shelter, many hoomans say "Cookie is a great, calm dog." I'm so ready to bring warmth and joy to your home! If you're looking for a sweet, loving, and clever companion, I'm the one! Let's make some wonderful memories together For more videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLOMJUT-1hs&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JzQWukc8poUanRSx8kxW6kd ##2260935##

Story
Quick Facts Name: Seolgi Age: 4 years old Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo mix Colour: Ivory Weight: 14.5kg Heartworm: Treated January 3, 2024 Me & Humans Welcome to my profile page everyone. This is Seolgi, a 4 year old Jindo mix boy, weighing 14.5kg. When you first see me, I will probably catch your attention with my appearance. Although I am Jindo mix, I rather look like a mix of Labrador Retriever and Pitbull with a clean ivory coat. Before I got rescued, I was on the leash (it was very short!!!) for 2 years. I had no food or water, but I survived for 2 years with whatever strangers offered me. Luckily, I got rescued by a kind human and I am now ready for my second chapter of my life. I like to socialize with people, but I might appear to be a bit shy in the beginning. But no worries. Offer me some treats and I can easily get along with you. Once I get comfortable, I will show you my belly (belly rub please!) and let you lift me up under my belly. Kids under 13 year old? I love kids! I think they are awesome! I like to hang out with kids and adults. With Dogs & Cats & Chickens Not only humans, but I also like to play with furry friends! I easily approach them as I want to play with them. I usually get along with almost everyone but for some reason, I cannot get along with boys that are big in size! But if anybody tries to pick up a fight, be aware because I will not step back!!! Oh, and if I ever get into a fight with anybody, I refuse to play with that specific one (I will never forget what happened.....) So please keep an eye on me when I am with other friends. Sigh... A bit embarrassing to say, but when I was at the shelter, I often got into fights and got myself in trouble few times and maybe that is the reason why I might appear to be a bit shy in the beginning! With cats, I have seen them, but they did not draw my attention that much. I will probably need to get myself tested to find out more on this! Chickens? Ooooh! I saw chickens before! My friends went crazy when they saw chickens, but I had zero interest at all. Activities & Walk With lack of walk experience, I cannot say I am a pro. I tend to stop and sniff often during my walk. I prefer to walk in a quiet area rather than busy roads where there are cars everywhere. When I get frightened, I might stop and lie down on my belly. My energy level is fairly high so if you want me to relax quietly at home, please provide me sufficient amount of outdoor activities on a daily basis. Resource Guarding & Crate & Cars & Potty Break I recently had my guarding test done. Hmm.. I do not guard against people (because I love them so much) but I growl at other furry ones if they approach me too close while I am eating! Personal space guys!!! Step back when I eat!!!!!! So if you hear me growling, that means I do not want to get distracted while I am eating. I might also bark when there I see strangers or if there is anything that I need that requires a human's attention. I got my crate-training done and I am confident that I can stay calm inside. As I mentioned before, I get scared of cars . So when I need to get inside the car, I may need a bit of your help. Just give me a lift, and I will get in. For potty breaks , I prefer to go outside and do my business. When I visit new places, there is a chance that I might start marking as well. Last Message I am an absolute human-lover who needs my forever home and family. My childhood was lonely, and I do not really have good memories so far. But thankfully I got rescued and I am now getting myself prepared to meet my own family for the first time! If you are looking for an affectionate companion, please talk to my team about it! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I’m in Toronto Foster home Once a stray, this furry friend found themselves at a city shelter, facing an uncertain fate on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, a compassionate rescuer spotted this sweet soul and made the decision to give them a second chance. At first, I might seem a bit shy, but rest assured, I warm up quickly, especially when there are delicious treats involved. With some positive encouragement, I’m more than happy to become your best friend and allow even strangers to hold, lift, and carry me with ease. Once I’m at ease, I’ll proudly show my belly, inviting those cherished belly rubs. I’m still not comfortable when people are too close when I’m eating so if you can give me a space to enjoy the meal by myself that would be much appreciated. When it comes to other dogs, I’m a gentle spirit. I’ll approach them with a soft hello, though I’m less likely to engage in playful interactions. If another dog appears uncomfortable or shy, I’ll gracefully give them space, prioritizing a peaceful encounter. Though I’ve never encountered a cat, my demeanor and energy levels suggest I’m less likely to chase small animals. My energy is on the lower side, making me a calming presence in any household. While walking, my excitement may lead me to pull a bit, but I’m quick to settle and follow the handler with grace. Sharing is caring, and I’m all about it—I don’t guard resources from people or other dogs. Barking isn’t a habit of mine, and I’ve mastered crate training. When I’m in a room by myself I do destroy few things but once i feel comfortable around the space and know that it’s a safe zone, that behaviour will change for sure.If you’re seeking a low-energy, calm, and gentle dog, I’m the perfect addition to your home. I’ll sit beside you, gazing lovingly with adoration in my eyes. Pets and scratches bring me immense joy—I’ll even close my eyes, wearing a big smile, revelling in your attention. Now, about my diet—I may gain weight a bit faster than other dogs, but fear not, I’m not overly food-obsessed. I’m simply a delightful companion who enjoys your company and the occasional treat. Let’s make beautiful memories together—your love and attention will complete my story. Story
Quick Facts! Name: Jinju Age: 4 years old Gender: Female Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo mix Colour: Brown Weight: 13.15 kg All about me Hello world! I am Jinju, a 4 year old Jindo mix princess. I had a ruff childhood. I was abandoned at the electrical station in South Korea without any food and water with my mom and sisters. Luckily, I survived and got rescued. I am now ready to find a loving family! I am a bit on the shy side but give me some treats and I will be your friend in a wag of a tail because I love to eat! Once I get to know you, I will eventually let you pet me as well. I am fine with belly rubs but do not like being lifted high. Loud noises and little kids? Eeeeek! I once met kids under 13 and it did not make me feel comfortable when they suddenly moved and made loud noises! Whether dogs are my size, smaller, or larger, I am quite friendly with them. I will politely greet, but not always play with them right away. I feel overwhelmed when they get too energetic or aggressive. In this case, I simply step back. My curiosity kicks in when I encounter cats, but I just give them a curious glance and keep on strolling under my human's guidance. As for my energy level, I am somewhere between low to moderate. I absolutely enjoy outdoor activities but also like resting quietly afterward. During walks, I might pull my leash a little, but I generally walk well in quiet areas where I can relax and enjoy the scenery. Busy roads can make me a bit nervous, but under your guidance, I will get the hang of it. I am also house-trained and would prefer to do my business outside during walks. I do not guard my food from people, but I might growl if another dog comes near while I am eating. I am particularly not a barker unless I see a stranger. Additionally, I got my crate-training down to a tree. I have survived and got rescued at the edge of precipice and I deserve to have a peaceful life with my own affection family. If you are looking for a genuine friend who is gentle, affectionate, and loyal, I will be the perfect one for you. Please contact my trusted team for more details!
