Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay via Zelle, PayPal, or cash. The shelter where Oz came from was asked by Chosun TV, one of Korea’s cable networks, to be a consultant for one of the programs called “Signal: for rescue” for one of its episodes that deal with exposing one of Korea’s illegally established dog meat butchers. Without their consent, though, the TV producers had 10 dogs (one pregnant at the time) rescued from the dog meat butcher resettle at their shelter. Oz is one of the puppies that was born after coming to their shelter. But she wasn’t spayed in time so she got pregnant at the shelter and gave birth to two dogs. Oz was not able to take proper care of either of them, the puppies were eventually taken to a foster home and now both of them live in the States, thanks to American rescues that wanted to take them in. Oz was left alone at the shelter in Korea, but the shelter said they didn’t have the connections or expertise to get these big rescues from the dog meat trade properly publicized for adoption. Oz was supposed to have been placed at a bigger organization in Korea, but the TV producers did not follow up, nor did they take responsibility for the 10 dog’s adoption afterwards. So we gladly said we would help the oh so beautiful Oz who is looking to find that very special home to cherish her as she should be adored. Oz was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Oz was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Talk about absolutely stunning, Miss Oz is such a beautiful girl. This poor girl was ganged up on in the shelter & had her ear bitten but for everything she has been through she is very forgiving & sweet. Oz has a lovely personality, she is warm, friendly & affectionate & oh my, does she love to eat. Some people at first she maybe nervous & hesitant of until she knows & trusts them, then she is good. She is good with men & woman once she knows them. Did we mention you can pick this beautiful girl up & she will let you carry her? She is doing well walking on her harness & leash but still would need work as she does sometimes stop with some people & not want to walk as she gets a little intimidated. She did end up having a foster home in Korea who worked with her on walks & going for runs & we think she would really enjoy a home who would be active with her. We don’t think she ever received this much love before but she radiates her appreciation with us. We do know she adores dogs, she loves them & she absolutely needs another dog or dogs in the home for her to play with, this is mandatory. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Oz & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. Oz’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. Oz rides beautifully in the car & loves a good journey, so great in the car. But then she sometimes doesn’t want to get out of the car so we have to carry her out. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Oz does not like crates & who could blame her. We are also looking for a forever home for Oz where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Oz is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Oz has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & does well. Oz needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, she really enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have her with other dogs. This is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Oz is roughly 44.6 lbs & has put on so much weight with us & oh my goodness does she love to eat. When we got her, she was skinny & you could see her ribs, those days are long gone. She is 1 year old & 3 months & perhaps a Jindo what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed, had a dental/scale & polish, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Oz with bringing her to the US with her travel costs, her medical, her dental, boarding fees etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee covers. Oz has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but in Korea she used to chase the cats so a home with no cats is needed for Oz. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Oz was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Oz’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Oz potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Oz & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Oz who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. More and more dogs were entering the shelter and some of them are on the verge of being put on the euthanasia list, so Adogs urgently rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Likes people so much that she chases volunteers! Is accustomed to people, but is still afraid of human touch. * With Dogs: Get along well with the dogs who are smaller or similar to her! Tends to bark at big dogs, seemingly being scared. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as she resides in a group at our center. * Potty Training: Does only outdoor pottying because she currently resides at our center. * Walks: Doesn't have much experience in walks. Follows you well with treats, but she is still uncomfortable walking with leashes, so constant training is needed.

💙 Meet Taeyeon 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_everyday 1⃣ Health Status • Spayed: Yes • Other: Microchipped 2⃣ Rescue Story Taeyeon was brought to Gimje Shelter with her sister when she was a puppy. Unfortunately, her sister passed away due to parvovirus, leaving Taeyeon alone at the shelter. A-Dogs stepped in and rescued her, giving her a second chance at a better life. 3⃣ Personality & Behavior • With People: She is still not fully comfortable with human touch and tends to avoid being petted. It would be best to give her time and space to adjust at her own pace. • With Dogs: She gets along well with other dogs at the center without any issues. • Separation Anxiety: Since she has never been alone before, her reaction to being alone is unknown. • House Training: As she is living in a center, her house training status is unclear.

Meet Snowflake! He is a jindo mixed breed who got rescued recently from our team. He is one-year-old, 15.8kg/34.8lbs boy. Behaviours from the previous foster: He is very smart and gentle. He is well potty-trained. He isn’t a big barter. Even if he barks when he is scared by a stranger, he can stop soon with your short and firm “No”. He has no separation anxieties at all and he is ok with bath, groomming, ear cleaning. (He gets a little bit nervous in the dry room but can be stay still.) He has good walking manner. He can walk at owner’s pace together. He gets along with other dogs too. But he walks, he tends to concentrate to only his walking. He doesn’t have any interest in other people and dogs on his walk. He may be a little bit shy at first time, But he will approach to you once you give him some time and space to get used to his new environment and his new family. He loves people so much and especially the one who give him an attention and cuddles. He has so much love in him. He will give you a big love if you show him your love. He would love to play with you and be with you forever.

While she can be timid initially, her curiosity allows her to get along well with other dogs. Rita is friendly and eager to greet new people. During a recent outing to a shop, she approached everyone she encountered with good manners and curiosity, making a positive impression. Both Chico and Rita may appear timid in completely new environments, but they adapt quickly and get along well. Their initial shyness doesn’t reflect sensitivity or pickiness. +Dog: She gets along well with other dogs. +Cat: She often encounters cats near the house. Rita usually watches them quietly, occasionally barks, and then quickly runs back inside. +Kids: Rita gets along very well with children (ages 10 and 18). +Housebroken: She is 100% outdoor potty-trained, going twice in the morning and once in the afternoon. On rainy days, she uses indoor pads perfectly. +Ok in kennel: She uses crates frequently especially when she goes to sleep. +Ok on leash: Rita walks well on a leash and is easy to control. She loves other dogs but can be a little shy at first, lowering her tail when approaching them. Once comfortable, she wags her tail and happily engages. Her friendliness shines through once she’s adjusted. +Barker or Separation anxiety: Rita does well alone. She only whines when she needs to go outside or if she wants to express that she needs to poop. She doesn’t bark much and is rather a quiet dog usually. +Behavioral issues (food aggression, leash reactivity, etc): Rita does not guard food, toys, or other items. She loves it when people play with her toys and patiently waits for treats when told. She knows commands like "wait" and "no," and responds well. Occasionally, she hides treats in cushions and retrieves them later. +Car rides: Rita enjoys car rides and travels well without any issues. In doing so, he may look timid initially, but you will soon notice that he fundamentally enjoys meeting new people and being around them. He’s very gentle and has a trusting personality, making it easy to bond once trust is established. He is currently experiencing different environments and meeting various people to build confidence. Chico loves other dogs and gets along well with the one he currently lives with. When accompanied by his foster, Chico feels more confident and interacts comfortably with both people and dogs. Both Chico and Rita may appear timid in completely new environments, but they adapt quickly and get along well. Their initial shyness doesn’t reflect sensitivity or pickiness. +Dog: Chico loves other dogs and gets along well with the one he currently lives with. +Cat: He shows no particular reaction to cats he encounters on the street. +Kids: Chico hasn’t spent much time with children but shows little interest in them during walks. +Housebroken: He prefers to go potty outside but is 100% successful using pee pads indoors. +Ok in kennel: Good is a crate. He is calm and relaxed in a crate. +Ok on leash: He walks well on a leash and is easy to manage. He enjoys approaching other dogs but is learning to wait calmly. When walking off-leash, Chico often checks back and matches his pace with his foster. If the foster stops, he sits and waits patiently. +Barker or Separation anxiety: Chico is fine being left alone. He doesn’t bark or whine excessively. +Behavioral issues (food aggression, leash reactivity, etc): Chico does not guard food, treats, or toys and waits patiently for his turn. +car rides: Chico handles car rides well, even for long periods.
