Story
Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Wally is one of 5 puppies that were being given away in a Walmart parking lot. Our rescue was lucky enough to be able to get Wally and his brother Marty into our care. Each boy received emergency care for dehydration and tummy trouble, as both had consumed rocks at some point. They were released to a foster home and never looked back! According to records, these two boys are said to be Labradoodles. Because Labradoodles come with special needs for grooming and care, we are seeking families who have experience with these mixed breeds, as well as the schedule to keep them socialized and get regular potty breaks. We don't have parent information, but based on their current size, anticipate they will be larger adult dogs. The sweet puppy is excellent with small children, though they must be prepared for the shark teeth and puppy antics that come with this age. The puppies live with 5 other dogs and are doing outstanding on house training. They receive a potty break every 2 to 3 hours at this age and with this schedule has had minimal accidents. They are quiet and affectionate and oh so cute! Both are crate trained, and doing very well! He will also need his adopters to take him to a positive based puppy class and have him neutered by six months of age.
