This is Bernie... our sweet Doodle boy! Bernie came to GRRAND from a shelter in late November. He was in terrible condition upon intake and required shaving due to such deep mats. He was also quite unsocialized and has needed a lot of behavioral support to become ready for adoption. We’re so excited for Bernie to be able to continue on the next leg of his journey to finding his forever home! This affectionate boy now loves to jump up and give hugs to his caretakers He will need a family with the time and patience to continue helping him come out of his shell to see all the great things in the world and to give him the attention and exercise he desires. He needs a secure home with an above-ground fenced yard because he could be a flight risk. Bernie resource guards and since he cannot be retrained to change this behavior, he needs a home without any kids, grandkids or children visiting the home. With his resource guarding behaviors, Bernie does not like it when other dogs or people get around his food (or favorite things) so he will need to be fed separately from other dogs however, he does love to play with other dogs and does great with them! We do not believe he should go to a home with cats. Kyrie is a 7 month old, male Labradoodle that was found running with Laisy along the road near a horse park. They have just arrived at GRRAND so we are still learning about them, but we are told: they are both very sweet and playful.  Have done well with food and toys, near other dogs. They've played well with other girls, haven't tried with the boys yet. They have had trouble holding potties overnight. they did great when given a bath they are a bonded pair to be adopted together We will update as we learn more, but they will both need a family with the time and patience to give the exercise and direction needed for these young pups to be good dogs. Hello my name is Emma Louise I am a young 1 1/2 yr old Lab/Border Collie mix. Full of energy to play with my toys: tug-of-war, small football and a plastic bone. My fenced in backyard is my primary play area. I have a padded crate that I sleep in at night. I enjoy lots of attention with petting and belly rubs. Also I know commands sit, down and paw. I am looking for a loving Home.

Story
Kush is 4 years old and has anxiety. He would never hurt a fly, he is just very skiddish and nervous around things he is not used to but that has never resulted in him being violent, mostly just hunkering down and whining. He loves attention and loves being a cuddle bug.

Story
Nyla was adopted from the Humane Society shelter, where she had been a resident for over six months (arriving as a stray.) As a result, she came crate-trained and housebroken. Her crate and heartworm meds would go with her. Nyla is not good with other dogs, as she has a definite jealous streak and is very aggressive with our older, much larger dog. Nyla also chases cats and is interested in controlling anything that moves. She is very strong, both physically and of will. She will pull on a check lead if she has a mind until she is choking herself. Nyla also loves to cuddle. She is happiest in bed, having her belly rubbed. While Nyla was at the Humane Society, her regular caregiver noted she was quite affectionate. We both found that she gets the "zoomies," so a larger, definitely fenced yard is a requirement. We kept the name she had been assigned at the Humane Society. Nyla needs an experienced handler to adopt as she will need some work.
