Coco is a purebred chocolate lab. She is Six years old and up-to-date on shots. She is a very, very sweet girl. She belongs to my sister and my disabled adult niece. Coco is such a sweet girl to my niece and my sister; however, due to my sister’s serious health condition, she is unable to care for her any longer. My niece is in a facility now and my sister will be placed once out of ICU. I have animals of my own and cannot take on another one. There are no family members able to take her. We need a foster or an adopter ASAP

Story
Father in law passed away and I am unable to take her home with me. No pets policy. Mollie is spoiled rotten! She loves her treats and expects on everytime she goes potty. If you don't she'll let you know. I believe Mollie is around 13 yrs old. She just needs a loving caregiver to take care of her in her dieing years. Oh I forgot to mention that she can't see or hear that well. I do hope that there is a kind sole out there that can help. Thank you

I would love for you to meet Molliy. My father in law passed away and I am not aloud to have pets where I live. Molly is about 13 or 14 years old and still very active, and loves to chase squirrels. She'll let you know that she has to go potty by going to the back door. I do recommend putting a leash on her before taking her out because she will take off. Will sleep on the floor near you. She will back at the mailman. Lol. I do hope there is a kind soul out there that would love her for her remaining days. Thank you

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 3, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! Story
Hi My name is Zuke! I've been my mom's adventure buddy since she saw me at a shelter one day - the last little guy in a litter- about seven years ago now. My mom always jokes about how I'm her "gentle giant;" although she's pretty tough on rules as I've been raised around babies, toddlers, children, other dogs and an old handicapped cat. My mom has been seeing a lot of doctors for the last few years and knows I'll do better somewhere stable. And if the adoption fee is high- My mom might be a little melodramatic. She thought she had a solid home for me and the guy left me in an abandoned house and didn't even tell her. I wasn't scared though. I knew mama would come get me. And it wasn't even but a few hours. But the temperature hit record lows that night? I'm pretty sure she built an entire Army style fort and survival shelter out of construction debris and lawn furniture so she could sleep outside with me. she didn't have to though. So just ask her about it if so:)

Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Meet Snow White! Snow White is a 70-ish # gorgeous white floof of a Great Pyrenees. She has a perfect white heart on her forehead which sums up her lovely personality. You'd never guess that this playful goofball was filthy, skinny, and starving when a GDR member came across her roaming near the highway. The only remnants of that time are the patches where scabs once reigned and her fur is growing in. Her favorite activities include: rolling around on the couch, playing with all the other dogs in the house (who range from 12-80 lbs), eating, and napping. Having experienced the good life indoors with air conditioning, she is loathe to spend too much time outside. But her constant smile and inviting tail thumps make her an easy, joyful companion. Attributes: Great on a leash Knows all basic commands (come, sit, down, shake) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
