Story
Meet Jack, a sweet and gentle 3-year-old dog who is ready to find the loving home he deserves. Unfortunately, Jack was surrendered to the shelter when his previous owners had to move, and he is now looking for a second chance at a stable and peaceful life. While he may be a bit shy at first, especially in new environments, Jack is incredibly kind-hearted and will thrive with patient, understanding people who are willing to give him the time and space he needs to build trust. Once he feels comfortable, he will show his affectionate side, offering gentle companionship and loyalty. Jack enjoys regular walks, making him an ideal companion for someone who enjoys low-key outdoor activities. He would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can settle in at his own pace. With a bit of patience and love, Jack will surely blossom into the loving and loyal friend you've been searching for. If you're looking for a dog who is gentle, well-mannered, and in need of a peaceful environment to feel secure, Jack may be the perfect match for you! Good news, I qualify for our Foster to Adopt program! Call 831-373-2631 to learn more. I am eligible for a Doggy Day Out, apply at www.spcamc.org/day-out to take me on an outing! Story
Hello, I'm Jasmine. Though I'm still young, I've learned so much about the world around me. I'm a bit shy at first, but that's just because I'm smart and like to observe before I act. I'm curious, always eager to learn new things and explore my surroundings. My nature is gentle and sweet, I promise to never harm a fly. I love being around people, even if I don't always show it at first. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and curiosity. Adopt me, and I'll be your loyal companion, always ready to share a new adventure with you. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 52.2 Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
Looks like: Labrador Retriever mix Female, 8 years old (estimated), 68 pounds Magnificent Mihla is a sweetheart with lots of love to give! She has these mesmerizing eyes full of wonder and adorable floppy ears that really make her stand out. Miss Mihla enjoys spending her time going for car rides or long walks, playing surgeon with squeaky toys, alerting her fosters about squirrels and birds that dare to cross her path, and attending training regularly to work on building up her leash manners. This lovely lady would be ideal for a home where she can be the star and not have to share your attention but she may also fit right in with a household that has a mellow dog who doesn't mind sharing the spotlight. Due to how excited we have seen her get around prey animals we suspect she may not be ideal for a household with cats. We have not seen how she is with children. The SPCA of Monterey County reached out to us for help because Mihla was becoming increasingly stressed in the shelter environment. She was a favorite among many volunteers who worked with her there, so how could we resist?

Story
Looks like: Lab Mix Male, 10 years old (estimated), 84 pounds Wiley isn't particularly wiley at all. This sweet giant is more of a couch potato than anything else, and he's looking for a fellow potato partner. This big, beautiful boy spent much of his life outside and is now relishing in the comfort of living inside a home. Give Wiley a comfy spot on the couch after a short walk, give him all the pets and kisses, and he'll be your best friend. This poor sweetheart was confined to a yard for most of his life, but despite the scant interaction with people and animals, he's a sweet, gentle guy. He is sometimes shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly. Wiley coexists with other dogs that do not expect him to play & do not get in his face. Wiley has done well with cats in the past, and while in his foster home has avoided neighborhood cats while out on walks. Wiley would do best in a home without children, as loud activity and quick movements can sometimes frighten him. He has grown accustomed to a quiet environment that allows him to nap the day away and seems to appreciate his daily routine. He's recovering from a skin condition and may need medicated baths periodically. Wiley is an easy keeper who loves the company of his person. Wiley's former guardian moved into assisted living and was unable to take him along.

Story
HI - I'M CHARM! I'm a sweet and playful 1-year-old Lab-Boxer mix in need of a foster or forever home! I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, and originally came from a hoarding case. I'm a happy girl who loves people and other dogs. I weigh only about 50 lbs and would make a great dog for an active single person, a couple or a family with older kids. I would do well with another dog in the home. Please email for an application.
