I'm a 13-month old Labrador Retriever mix. I love running behind my people all day long at home! I love going to dog parks and playing with other dogs. Fresh cut grass and digging gives me the zoomies! I enjoy greeting people, but my excitement frequently gets the best of me, and I can't help but jump up to say hello. I am working on my speaking skills but sometimes I have to let you or the dog walking by know what's on my mind. I am a quick learner, though, especially when treats are involved. Sit? Stay? Heel? Come? Easy peasy! Treats are my weakness, and I'd do just about anything for a tasty reward. I'm great at listening and anytime there are treats involved, you have my fullest attention! I need some help with leash training as I can get super excited when seeing other dogs. I am potty trained and crate trained but taking me out after a big chug is always a good idea! I am a puppy so I cant hold it for long. I love playing with other dogs at the dog park. I would do fine with another dog at home or I may be okay on my own with my humans as long as I have an outlet for my energy. I'm not too sure about cats. I have not had a lot of experience with kids but I love all people and love getting rubs and scratches! I am a little jumpy so maybe older children would be best. I love squeaky toys and enjoy a good tug of war with ropes. My ideal home would be where I have a fun group of people/dogs who can take me on long walks, to the dog parks and play with me! I can get bored sometimes and find things to chew on but I think it's just me being a puppy. I can't wait to meet my forever family! Prim Rose was given to me last year when my service dog died in my arms. Several dogs from several different loved ones tried to give me their dogs since my service dog was now gone, and many hoped the dogs could help me, and become my service dog. Let me tell you, Prim has ever since has worked very hard to learn how to follow all the rules I ask of her. No more issues with getting in the trash, she went from pulling very hard on a lead to a brilliant heel and almost perfect recall. I watched her get in between a large dog and a kid who was startled into screaming, prepared to fight, but was not aggressive. She's very cuddly, and loyal. She can be pushy with demanding attention, and needs a lot of work with her separation anxiety. She would be a great fit for anyone who spends a lot of time at home, as she will struggle very much with being alone especially kenneled. I need to know she'll be loved and respected. She was my friend when I needed her most. She's a good kid.
