After a vet appointment, she was declared healthy! She loves to snuggle on the couch ...especially with one of the big dogs at the fosters. Loves to play tug o war with the big dogs too.!

Story
Galadriel is a sweet, beautiful girl about 14 months old! She is a yellow lab mix weighing about 63 lbs. She loves cuddles, playing with toys, fetch, and giving kisses. She has a lot of energy, and can be shy. She enjoys eating and will give such a cute face to get snacks from you. She’s loving, loyal, and always wants to sleep in bed with you. When you get home from work or shopping she wags her tail so much that her whole body moves with it and she’ll show you a toy to play! She deserves a good home that will spoil her a lot, with a big backyard with grass, and giving her lots of attention. If you adopt her and cannot care for her in the future or she doesn’t adapt, return her to us. We care about her happiness and want the best for her. We don’t want her ending up in a shelter or society. She does have anxiety and has separation anxiety, and we can provide her crate, toys and blankets to help the transition. Galadriel is an angel and deserves the very best of life.

Thor is a guy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He loves people and craves attention from anyone who is willing to give it to him. He has a confident demeanor and likes to be in charge, often acting as a leader among the other dogs at the rescue. Thor's energy and strength can sometimes be too much for his own good. With proper care and exercise, he can shed those extra pounds and become a healthier, happier pup. Despite his flaws, Thor is a lovable and loyal companion who just needs a little extra help to reach his full potential.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
From Merlin's foster mom: I have had the pleasure of fostering Merlin for several months. He was dumped in a rural area and was hard to catch and scared of everything. I brought him into my house and he stayed inside with outside potty breaks while in my care and NEVER had an accident inside. I became worried about his safety when he escaped my fence one day and would not come back to me. He was sent for 2 weeks inboard training. He caught a chicken the day he got loose but dropped it when I told him to and the chicken was unharmed. Merlin slowly warmed up to me and would try to get in to my lap a lot. He is very loving and sweet. He would be a great walking or jogging companion as he is high energy. He was very submissive to all my other dogs and was tolerant of cats but I never left him alone with the cats. Merlin is very smart and funny and he has a wonderful personality. He is a perfect dog but he needs an adopter with a sense of humor. Merlin "The Magician" makes things disappear! He loves to collect household items...shoes, clothes, spoons, canned goods, measuring tapes...whatever he can get his mouth on. He has great fun swiping things the second you turn around. He has a special place he takes his treasurers and understands you will collect your items back. I imagine this will improve as he grows out of puppyhood and with follow up training. He was started with the basics but will continue to need reinforcement of what he has learned. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. My adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $275. If transport is needed, my adoption fee is $575 (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions). Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org! Story
I have videos!!! Surrendered by a family whose son turned out to be allergic to pets, Isla (pronounced “eye-la”) uses her sandy-white coat and black-framed, sea-green eyes to show you why she is named for the Spanish word for “island.” Her mom was a German Shepherd/Lab mix; dad was a traveling man. Lack of socialization left Isla wary of strangers, and she’s a little worried and antsy at first; but she comes around with a few minutes’ patience and time and is ready to play fetch and accept treats. Highly food motivated, she walks happily on a leashed “sniff and stroll” through the woods, responds promptly to “sit”, and is doing well learning other commands. At 19 months old and weighing 49 pounds, she is already house-trained (she lived happily with a family of dad, mom, two teenage boys and a toddler), crate-trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccines and monthly parasite preventatives. Her easy-care coat and playful attitude with other dogs add to her list of assets. She would love to have another family of her own! https://youtu.be/6pmyBBgp2fY FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla learns the "release" commandhttps://youtu.be/Z1BDW5nXN_U / FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla learns not to play with slip lead!https://youtu.be/c9mb7HEdpM4 FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla plays ball by herself!https://youtu.be/hEaDsFgvnok FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla goes on a Stroll&Sniffhttps://youtu.be/yqmXoKIPhxM FOCCAS adoptable dog checks out a big turkeyhttps://youtu.be/3Mw0_JK3RTY FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla plays fetch and practices "Leave it"FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     This is a sad story in which we are hoping for a happy forever family for 10m old Patty from Albania. She will be here in March. Patty's Rescue Story Patty was reported to us as a dog that had been hit by a car on the highway in the morning. Given the number of cars that passed her, we assumed someone would have stopped to help. However, after work, we decided to go check on her to ensure she had received assistance. Our hearts sank when we found her still lying there 12 hours later; not a single person had stopped to help. We immediately took her to the veterinarian, where it was discovered that she had a broken pelvis and a broken leg. After healing in a clinic cage, she now resides in a shelter. Name : PattyAge: 10 Months Weight: 44lbeGender: female Breed: mix/lab possibly ?Spayed: yes Vacines: yes up to date 4dx snap : negative Good with dogs: yesGood with kids : yesGood with cats: not testsBehavior issues: none House broken: (never lived in a home) About Patty Patty is a sweet soul. She loves people and is always in a cheerful mood. She is extremely affectionate. She enjoys water and has a playful spirit. She’s quiet and not much of a barker. There isn’t much negative to say about Patty, except that she had a rough start in her young life. While Patty walks a little off due to her past injuries, she is full of life, and nothing holds her back from doing what she wants to do.All the dogs love her.       All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
