Story
“Ginger” was given to me a year ago by my little brother. We are not sure of her mix. She’s a really sweet girl and loves kids. I am a single mom who works 10+ hours a day and i’m moving to a small apartment. I wish i had the time for her that she deserves but i know someone out there will take her in and love her as much as we do.

Story
Kasey and her brother Buster came to stay at the boarding facility I run when their mother went in the hospital. After several they had to put their mother in a memory care place. They are looking for a home together if possible. Kasey has a flea allergy and must get flea meds. She eats a special food for her skin. She is a happy, full of love 8 year old. She loves people. We have had them both around other dogs, they prefer ones who are chill like them. If you are looking for an energetic, happy, loving companion, that LOVES her stuff animal babies, Kasey is that. These dogs are getting lots of love and attention, but a boarding facility is not a real home. Looking for that special someone or family!!

Story
Hazel is a sweet dog but does need some behavior training. She has become a handful for me as I am recently divorced. She is house trained and goes to her cage to sleep on command just by saying "go home". She walks on a leash and LOOVEESS car rides. I will be honest that she bit someone over 3 years ago when they walked into our house unexpectedly. I think she feels like she was doing her job! Hazel has two smaller dogs in the house and a cat. She gets along with them well and likes to play. She will sometimes bully them during food time and take their food, but this is rare. I work long hours and have a 2 hour commute daily, leaving them in their cage for long hours. I hate this for them. If I could have the perfect situation for her, she would love to be a mans best friend, have room to run, and gets to sleep in doors without a cage.

Story
Hiya Hooman! Name’s Pip, your future best friend. I flew all the way from the Bahamas just to meet you. I heard you were looking for a well trained pup, who has the best listening ears. That’s me! If you call my name, I will always come to you. If you ask me to sit, I will sit and wait, even in front of my food! All I want is to make my hooman happy and if you give me praise or pets I will be so happy too. If you enjoy walks, I do too! I will stay in heal right next to you and look up to you for direction and when you “free” me, I’ll sniff and walk slightly ahead of you. If you’d rather play in our home or yard with some toys, I’ll fetch them for you. Walks and fetch are my favorites! Did you say it’s been a long day and want to rest, can I join you on the couch? I’m the biggest snuggle bug who’s always up for some hugs or I can just lay next to you if you’d like some quiet time. Goblin | 1.5 Years | 55lbs Hi there, my name is Goblin! I arrived at K9s For Warriors in July of 2024 after passing my initial test with flying colors! Although I am unable to become a service dog due to some medical concerns, I am a spirited and outgoing pup that is ready to be your perfect running companion! Once I get to know you, I start to crave affection and companionship. Neck scratches and belly rubs are the key to my heart! I have made a few dog friends here at K9s and would be open to having a zoomie buddy in my forever home. I am crate trained, familiar with my basics and would love to continue learning with you! If you are considering adopting Goblin, we highly encourage you to reach out to set up a formal meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you and hope we can help find your new furever friend!

Story
Looking for a Lap Dog or a Teddy Bear? If so, look no further because Bentley is the boy for you. This very adorable and handsome seven-year-old male Labrador Retriever is quite the gentle soul who wants nothing more than to have a loving home with a loving family, nice, fenced back yard so he can take some zzzz's in the sun and a walk every day. We are seeking a foster or foster to adopt home for Bentley and, of course, a permanent adoption as well. He originally came into our Rescue three years ago from a very bad situation and was so neglected that the shelter thought he was a senior boy when in fact he was only about 4 yrs. old. His skin was in terrible condition but his mom put him on a natural diet which help clear most of the problems and although there are still a handful of scars, he has an amazingly healthy and beautiful coat.. Bentley's Mom is encountering some health issues and sadly has to give up Bentley because she is going to live with her sister who lives in a condo that cannot have a dog over 35 lbs. so boohoo, Bentley has to find a new Mom and family. This handsome boy is one mellow fellow who loves being close to his people but does not cling. He is excellent in the house with no chewing, barking, counter surfing or jumping on furniture unless, of course, he is invited to sit on the sofa for some snuggling with his favorite people. He is living with another female dog but we do not know his activity level with cats but do know he likes to chase squirrels. This sweet boy is heartworm negative, neutered, current on all vaccinations, microchipped and wormed. He is a cream-colored Labrador Retriever, with may something else mixed in too but his personality is all Lab and lover boy. Bentley is a very gentle soul and doesn't require much attention. He needs a nice, fenced yard for his sunbathing, maybe another calm dog but not necessary, a family member who can walk him daily and someone who is home some of the day since he's only been left alone for 4 hours at a time. Interested? Please go to www.greatrescue.org to complete an adoption application or give us a call at 904-501-6899 or 904-703-8348 with questions. Lucky is the family who will call Bentley their own!!
