Story
Meet Peach! She may look like a serious girl, but give her a few scritches and she turns into a wiggly, tail wagging pup! Peach has obviously had at least a few litters of puppies in her short life, and she is ready for someone to mother and spoil her. She lost her home due to a house fire, and has some scars as a result, but her sweet, patient personality has remained intact. You must meet this very special girl in order to appreciate what a special dog she is. Peach is a 2 year old, 51 pound Labrador Retriever mix.All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.Adoption fees: dogs, $250 (unless otherwise noted); cats, $50

Story
I am a Labradoodle that's guesstimated to be about 1.5 years.old. I was picked up as a stray in the Orlando area with what is believed to be my brother, Ranger. The fosters tried so hard to find our owners, but nobody came for us, so they reached out to Love4Paws to help us find new homes! While I love my brother (we love to play), I am not bonded to him and can be adopted independently. I would like to have another young high energy dog in the home though, or else an opportunity to play with other dogs off leash a few times a week to help burn my energy. Admittedly, I do not have the best manners. I don't remember my previous owners, but they did not spend any time training me. But I am super sweet and anxious to learn boundaries and commands. I just don't know any yet. Because I love other dogs and people so much, I have learned how to climb 5' fences. So I can only go to a home with no fence, or one that is a privacy fence with vertical slats (no horizontal) for me to be able to climb. I am housetrained and crate trained, and walk well on a leash. I would make a great addition to a family looking to add a young, active dog to their home, but with the understanding that I do have grooming requirements to keep my beautiful coat in tip top condition. I am spayed,, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. I am being fostered in Sarasota and my adoption fee is $450. If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application at https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process.

Story
Noah About a week ago, one of our volunteers found out about a dog who had been living on the side of I-75 for months, all alone We spoke to animal control and found out that he used to live on the on ramp and then crossed over to a field next to a plaza. He was being fed, but no one could catch him and no one was looking for him With sheer luck and determination, he was caught this past Monday by a woman who had been visiting and feeding him and the help of two other people! He was terrified in the moment, but immediately wiggled up to them once in the car The last few months have been rough for him - his ribs are showing, his skin is flaky, he has scars, fleas, and had ticks embedded in his armpits. He has never been on a leash, never ridden in a car and never seen a TV. But, he's been practicing leash walking all week and learning so fast! (Video in comments) Amazingly, he is pretty comfortable in a house, has not had a single accident and doesn't mind being in a crate. He's a very easy houseguest Noah is looking for a loving home who can change it all for him. Someone to love him, help him with leash walking, put some weight on him and let him play with your dog Noah is about 1-1.5 years old, a skinny 50lbs, most likely a Labrador Retriever & Hound mix and was just neutered. He loves all dogs and is very submissive. His forever home needs a secure 6ft fenced yard, no kids and a playful dog to be his best friend. Application to be Noah's best friend www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process

Story
Hello! I’m Sasha, a 5-year-old, 65-pound Lab mix. I’m an affectionate and active girl who is looking for a family that will open up their home and hearts to me. I'm a little shy when I first meet you, but once I get to know you, I'm your best buddy. I’m very social and love playing, swimming and cuddling. I would love to be the only pup in the family so that I get all of your attention. I have been a part of my current family for almost five years and I know it’s with great sadness that they have to leave me behind as they are moving overseas. I am now waiting to start a new chapter of my life in a home full of love. If you’re interested in meeting me, please go to our website, safepawsrescue.com, and complete the Adoption Application. Our application process includes a home visit and veterinarian and/or personal check. Safe Paws Rescue is a small rescue in St. Petersburg, FL so we accept inquiries from residents in Pinellas County only, please.

Story
Peppy is ready to move on to her furever home. Satchel's rescued Peppy from Animal Services in the fall of 2017. This poor girl was a starvation case and learning to trust people came a little hard for her. Thanks to our caring staff and volunteers, she is now able to live her life again, without constant fear of being abandoned or mistreated. Peppy has a Woof Pack leader here at Satchel's helping her learn some basic social skills and introducing her to the outside world. She would do best in an adult only home and does appear to get along with other dogs. Peppy has recurring ear infections and needs a vet visit every few months to have them cleaned under sedation as she doesn't like anyone messing with her ears. If you are interested in giving Peppy her retirement home, please submit your application (no commitment) found on our website, at Satchelslastresort.org.
