Story
Lady Catelyn was found by a kind soul when she was days away from delivery. They gave her a safe space to deliver her pups and then had animal control come pick the family up. Catelyn and kids arrived at Paws when the babies were about 2 weeks old. They were rolly polly lil things that everyone fell in love with. All of her babies quickly found homes as soon as they turned 8w. Now its Catelyns turn... Catelyn is a very petite girl. She's about the size of a beagle, weighing in at 38lb. She is sweet as sundrops and loves to spend time with people.  Now that she's got her girlish figure back, she is very anxious to get some exercise. She loves to run and would do best with an active home and a big fenced yard to let her zoom around. She will need to be supervised in the yard for a while as it seems she's part kangaroo as well. She can hop a 4ft fence and scale a 6ft chain link. This may lessen when she's able to get her energy out more and she knows she's home. She loves to play with toys and enjoys a good game of fetch. Catelyn recently got to meet one of our other dogs, Odie, and it was love at first sight for her and first scent for him! If anyone was thinking of getting a pair of dogs, these two would be perfect. Catelyn would be able to guide him around and teach him the lay of the land in their new kingdom! Catelyn has had such a rough beginning to life. A life she didn't ask for. We are hoping she finds her furever family quickly so she can be spoiled, loved, and make beautiful memories with her people. Get in your application so you can come meet this super sweet girl. Catelyn is ready for that car ride home!! ##2032144##

Story
Ember hasn't had the fairytale life people think dogs have. She's known struggles no animal should know. This sweet girl was found severely emaciated. She weighed just 29lb. You could see ribs, spine, and hip bones. Even her cheekbones. With love and lots of groceries, she was on the road to become healthy. However, she also wasn't on preventives so poor Ember also developed Heartworms.  We recently brought Ember in for routine spay, when we got a call from the clinic asking for an immediate call. Paws received the devastating news that this poor girl has a mass. It is firmly attached to her abdominal wall and sits on her aorta. They were unable to even biopsy it due to its location. Due to this, Ember is being placed as a hospice. We don't know how long she has. It could be months or years. What we do know, is we are praying someone will want to take her home, spoil her to death, and love her to the other side of the rainbow bridge.  Ember is a sweet ol gal. She enjoys a comfy blanket or raised bed. Sometimes she will put all her stuffies on the bed and sleep on the floor. Of course she loves snacks. Cookies is her favorite word haha. Ember loves car rides. She's an excellent backseat driver! She's a very laid back girl, so she doesn't bounce around in the car. She has the most expressive face. Which makes it even funnier when she's telling you exactly what she thinks or wants. Because Ember can be a bit insistent when she sets her mind to something.  Ember would love a big comfy couch to curl up on and watch TV with her people. A big bed to sprawl out on while she waits for her person to come home. With an unknown history, Ember is particular about her dog friends. She seems to prefer dogs smaller than her. A meet n greet with any other dogs in the home will be important prior to adoption. This smart girl knows what she wants and she wants you to click the ADOPT button and put an application in. ##2064595##

Story
Meet the beautiful Ms. Juliet This sweet girl has had a rough start, but we are praying that 3rd time is a charm. Juliet was picked up as a stray in Bibb, adopted out as a small pup, but the family decided they didn't want her (nothing in her control) and returned her. She was adopted out again, but the husband came down with allergies to her, so she finds herself back looking for her furever home. We are hoping her new family is searching for her so she doesn't have to stay long. It's confusing & tough on a pet to go from a home to rescue where they don't get all that time to spend with people or able to ask to go out to potty. Juliet is house and crate trained. She is clean and quiet. She knows the command sit. And will listen to your commands even when playing. She is so smart and eager to please!  And she looooveesss a good game of fetch. She's also gone for hikes with volunteers and did extremely well. Juliet is also quite the cuddler. When she's not playing, she is happy to circle up next to you for a good cuddle session! She enjoys being loved on and giving lots of kisses. She does need a slow intro to other dogs and takes time to warm up, but once she does - she is the perfect play mate. She could make a great addition to a large pet family or is a great pick for a first time dog owner! Most of the hard work has been done already (house training, crate training, and basic commands) Apply today if you would like Juliet to join your family. ##1641868##

Story
Our Jane was a very broken girl that we pulled from Lifeline in Dekalb County Georgia on August 18, 2018. She was feral, had lost her leg and was a fear biter. She was running out of chances for life. In the time that Jane has been with us, she has taken over the office. She loves to shred paper and print random things. She loves her bed and her red toys. She gets so excited and dances on three legs at breakfast time. She lets me pet her, bathe her and cut her nails. She is a great guard dog and lets me know if anyone is around. She does not like strangers but with time and patience she will love you. She needs a home that does not have small children. Jane is crate and house trained. She is about eight or nine years old. We would love to see this girl to get the loving home she has never experienced.

Story
Augustus is such a sweet and smart boy. He is house trained and crate trained. Augustus gets very stressed when he has to be crated, so he needs a home where he does not have to be crated for long periods of time. He also needs a family that does not have other pets He loves outdoor adventures and car rides so an active family would be perfect for him.
