Story
Meet Maxine, a female, 2-year-old Labrador Retriever. She weighs 44 pounds.Maxine arrived at the shelter as a stray. Maxine is sweet and loving, but she does need some time to warm up to new friends. She can be a bit shy, but she warms up well with yummy treats! We believe that once she is out of the shelter environment, she will truly thrive and open up! Can you help Maxine find herself again?Maxine will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how she will do with cats.Maxine is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today. The shelter is currently open by appointment only. Fill out an application to schedule an appointment today!
