Story
Meet Zuri! Our beautiful little girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include most probably Border Collie/Husky mix.  This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption.  You see she was part of a cruelty case back in October and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies.  All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri was left behind.  She was taken from the small TN shelter last month to decompress and learn some home/family life.  She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own .  This girl is a mature and settled 3-4 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly.  This girl loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 10 years and above. She is still learning not to pull on her leash and is doing very good at her sit command. Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!  If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained, pretty girl that deserves the best life from her on out…please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Luna is a beautiful young Lab mix girl who has endured a very unstable start to her life that has left her shy and unsure of herself at just 5-6 months of age.  This 25 pound girl is precious in body and soul and craves a confident hand to show her how to enjoy the world around her with joy and delight.   She is so pretty and actually her ears stand up when she is not being shy for the camera.  This sweet girl lived in a single bedroom of a disabled man for months and finally Critter Cavalry Rescue was able to secure a foster home for her to leave and get the great foster home that could work with her to build her self-esteem.  She rides well in a car and walks nicely on a leash.  She is wonderful with cats, other dogs and shyly accepts attention from strangers.   She will be a new girl in a short time of living with a competent and capable foster mom and family.   She would be wonderful with children too!  We envision this girl going to live with someone that has another confident, mature dog and who can take her on walking adventures and playful times in a fenced backyard.  Luna will be a top weight of 45 pounds when fully grown.   She has all the good stuff in her heart and soul and personality to be one of the move loving dogs you could ever adopt into your home.  If you are interested please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Nina is a little girl who was born around Mid-May and the family who had their dog give birth, moved away from their country rental and left 10 puppies behind with no plan for food or water…..just an outdoor pen.  After several months of a neighbor feeding them, Critter Cavalry Rescue was called in to help take them from the pen and give them a chance to find homes.  This girl survived months of abandonment and starvation and has emerged with a few social hesitancies and insecurities, yet a smart mind and loving soul.  She is crate trained, housebroken, wonderful with children that are young, other dogs and also cats.  She is a champ when it comes to being there for you but socially skittish when there are loud noises, sudden movements from outside and thunderstorms.  Nina is coming in to a place that she is showing confidence and not scared of certain things.  She will get there soon, but will need someone that doesn’t require her to be perfect.  She truly is perfect in so many ways despite her really challenging early months as a litter that was abandoned.  Nine is a lab/Pit mix that is beautiful and 44 pounds and a full weight as an adult.   She is very sweet and loving and good with children,  dogs, but NO CATS…..she loves to chase.    She is housebroken and she is crate trained and is a true outdoor girl. She loves to sunbath on the back patio and she welcomes the opportunity to meet new people.  She is pretty good on a leash and good on car rides and great recall that usually works for her.  She is a companion puppy.  She is a Lab/Pit mix and has the heart and soul of a Golden Retriever.   If you are interested in giving this homeless girl a new life and family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Are you looking for a sweetheart of a young dog?  An older puppy that is not quite 5 months old and who is very easy to have around and more than special to love.   Meet Tenderhearted Thelma, a Black Lab mix girl that was found with her sister, Louise, running down the side of the road in the country on a busy  highway.  Obviously someone had dumped these special girls and allowed them to find their innocent way in this world…and death by a car was just a few minutes away.  A wonderful rescue foster mom for Critter Cavalry Rescue saw what was happening and stopped her and gathered the two precious girls to remove them from harm’s way.  As you can see from her posture, Thelma is very submissive and not quite so sure of herself.  She is on a small farm with all sorts of animals; horses, pigs, goats, dogs, cats, newborn puppies, and fitting in easily and with submissive posturing.  We want a family to take this girl who will grow to be 50 pounds, and mold her, build her confidence and love her to the moon and back.   She is learning about life and we want a family to teach her all the good things that a well mannered dog needs to know how to do.  If you are a teacher, a lover of dogs and a patient person who will let her bloom at her own speed, then please write to us about Tenderhearted Thelma.   Critter Cavalry Rescue has her ready to go!!!   Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
It is with heavy hearts that we have decided that rehoming our 4 year old Lab/Dane mix, Vader, is the best option for him. He is goofy, smart, loveable, and very sweet. He loves sticks and balls, going for walks, running, playing tug, and his stuffy. He is housebroken and knows basic commands such as "sit" and "leave it", and is crate trained. He has spent a lot of time at home and does very well alone over the course of normal 8 or 9 hour work day. We have him in daycare once a week and he does really well in that environment. However, Vader has some anxiety issues mixed with a lot of energy, creating a situation wherein our one-bedroom apartment isn't the best environment for him. He needs to be in a home that will allow him to expel energy, be it through walks or games, or being allowed to run freely. Please let me know if you're interested so that we can discuss further details about Vader and schedule a home visit to assess compatibility.

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 3, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! These 7 huggable, lovable teddy bears are ready for their homes! 2 have found their forever homes, and 7 are remaining. There are 5 females and 2 males left in the litter. As of 8/2, these puppies weighed between 12-15 lbs each, so they haven’t hit their growth spurts yet 😊 Arya, Sansa, Jasmine, Maple, Ava, Maverick, and Hobbs are all Great Pyrenees/Retriever mix puppies born on May 9th. The mom is a beautiful white retriever mix, and the dad is a pure-bred Great Pyrenees, we do have pictures of the parents and mom will be getting fixed and staying with the original finder. We estimate full grown these puppies will be around 55-70 lbs. These puppies have got it all going on. They were born in foster care and have been exposed to other dogs, all ages of children and adults since they were born and are the friendliest, most loving puppies you’ll meet. They LOVE water. Give them a pool, take them to the river/lake/ocean or any body of water and they’ll go crazy. Their thicker coats make them wonderful candidates to live up north during the winter and enjoy the beautiful summers. We have a fun video of them playing in their pool! They all love children! They would make wonderful family dogs. Their tails don’t stop wagging when they see people and they are always up for a good time, whether it’s playing outside, going on walks, or just learning new things. The current foster has 2 children - 3 and 5 years old and they do fantastic with them. 9 puppies are a lot to have, but these babies are already learning quickly. Very smart. They follow the fosters dogs outside and when given one on one time, they will master whatever you teach them. They love to cuddle and give kisses. You’ll get kisses galore with them! They are all very quirky, amazing puppies that are all around happy go lucky and just love to cuddle, run around, play and get lots of loving. These babies will make FANTASTIC family dogs and very loyal companions. ________________________________________________________________________________ If you would like to adopt this doggy/puppy, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, current on preventions, dewormed and microchipped. A certificate of health is issued from a vet prior to transport. We are a small, struggling rescue in Texas where we do our best to prevent euthanasia in shelters and help stray and neglected animals find forever homes. Adoption fees are our only source of funding for the rescue. Unless otherwise specified at the top of the profile for this animal, this animal is considered to be located in foster care in Texas and available for transport once adopted.

My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Hello world!   I am so excited to tell you my story of being saved from a shelter that was under siege from parvo.  I survived and I was broken out of the shelter by Critter Cavalry Rescue after spending 4 weeks there and hoping to live through it all. My name is Bridgette and I am about 5 months old and weigh 28 pounds.  They say I have all sorts of breeds probably in my blood line.  They say I looks like a Golden Retriever mix or an Aussie mix or a little Chow or just the best of what God could create.  My foster mom just loves my confidence and my small size and stature but my BIG personality.  How big will I be when I grow up? Who knows except that my foster mom says I have enough cute and cuddles for any size.  I think I will be 40-45 pounds and the perfect size to fit in just about anywhere.  Since I have gotten out of the shelter, I am crate-trained, but still working on the housebreaking because I have NOT been out of the shelter for long. It means that I don’t mind being in my crate and usually keep it clean and dry. I might holler when you first put me in my crate but my foster mom says, don’t be fooled. I’ll settle down with a blanket and toy after a little while. I just have to get used to being without my brothers and sisters and get used to my new family.  You know things change all the time for us rescued dogs.   We go from so many situations while the shelters and the rescues are trying their best to get it all just right for us.  I sleep in my crate at night. I love mealtime! I also love to chase toys. If you get me settled on a blanket next to you, I love a good snuggle time. I’m ready. Come and get me! I am spayed and healthy and loveable and snuggable and I really need a place to belong.  Can you love pretty little me?  Bridgette the golden charm that will make your life so much better.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and ask for an application for me.  Tell them where you live please…city and state. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm
