Floki is a silly boy. He likes to talk but sounds more like a Mooooo. He is a loving sweetheart. He wants to sit near his people. He also loves his sister Freya. He’s a big boy who thinks he’s a lap dog. Most of Flokis life has been spent as an outdoor/garage dog. He stays near his people and his yard but may explore if there’s something new to see.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I'm Poe.   I came from a local shelter where my time was up and needed a rescue. I came from a home that took me to the dog park so I could hang out with my friends.  I am good with kids and other animals as well.  What my foster mom didn't expect was how loyal and lovable I am.  I follow her from room to room and sit by her side.  Foster mom has some crabby senior dogs and a few young dogs living with her.  The older dogs don't care for me much but that's okay.  I give them a grin and go on my way and then play with the two dogs closer to my age. I share toys and I am not possessive of my food.  I do love snacks and treats though!  I am a big boy with a lot of energy so having a buddy to run with or another dog to play with would be greatly appreciated.  I don't like being in the crate and do the cutest sad boy howl but will accept my time in there with a kong treat filled with peanut butter and treats.  I come when I am called and know how to sit, shake and lay down.  At night I sleep in foster mom's room with the other dogs and stay on my dog bed, not making a peep, until morning.  I am a diamond according to my foster mom.  She thinks my heart shows through my fur and is already in love with me.  I am a catch!   E.A. Poe is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rudolph (Rudy for short) is a gentle soul who is learning to be more confident in his own skin. He has the roundest most curious eyeballs, always wanting to follow you around and see what is the next adventure. He needs a confident dog in the home to show him the ropes and model good behavior. Rudolph isn't always the best at reading dog cues so a patient pal is best!   Rudy loves kids! When he sees kids, as young as 7, he has the cutest little whimper that he will continue until you let him go and play with the children. He loves to hug them and lay on their laps and just do anything and everything the children are doing. He loves to play with chew toys with the other six dogs in the house. He is gentle with cats and enjoys cuddling them when he is sleeping. Rudy is a companion that would prefer the least amount of time away from his humans as possible. He knows the word "kennel" when asked and is working on his manners to exit the kennel politely.    Click here to see a cute video of him!   He would love a family that walks him and runs him and takes him on adventures to broaden his experiences all while loving you to the moon and back.   Rudolph is from a local shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Meet Beau! This sweet and playful boy spent his  entire life outdoors but is quickly embracing the comforts of indoor living. He adores people and is always up for an adventure. Beau has a funny obsession with toys—he’ll try to carry as many as possible in his mouth at once! In fact, here’s a video of him trying really hard to do just that!  He’s fully potty trained and sleeps soundly through the night. He sleeps in his crate but would be happy to snuggle up with you too! Here’s a video of Beau walking pretty nicely on leash and he’s working on not pulling at the sight of a squirrel or bunny. While he loves to play with and chew on dog toys, he is non destructive with human items.  Beau thrives as the center of attention and would love to be your one and only pet as he's reported to not get along well with other dogs or cats. With all the love he has to give, he’ll be the perfect loyal companion for someone looking for a devoted best friend! Beau is from an Owner Surrender. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there! I’m Bennie, and I’m one fun, energetic guy looking for a family to call my own! I used to be called Musa, but my foster family decided to stick with the name Bennie, which I think fits me just fine. I’m a *busy* boy—if I’m in the car, I’m a little all over the place because I just *love* car rides! I’m so excited, I want to be close to you, and I’d happily sit on your lap if you let me. But don't worry, I’m learning the ropes of crate training, and I think I’d be happiest with a little space where I can hang out and relax (but still be close to you, of course!).  Here’s a sweet video of me relaxing on the couch!   I’m also a *talker*! I love to bark to get your attention, but I promise I’m just excited. I’ve already learned the word “sit” and I’m working on more basic training. In fact, here’s a video of me ‘sitting’. I’m super smart and really food motivated, so I pick things up quickly—especially if there’s a treat involved. I’m also getting the hang of walking with my gentle leader; at first, I pulled a little, but I’m learning fast and it makes a world of difference! I’m great with cats who don’t run. I get a little curious and may want to sniff, but if they start running away, I admit I want to chase them. It’s not out of meanness, just pure excitement. I haven’t met too many dogs yet, but the resident dog, Nyah, and I hit it off. I really want to play with dogs my size, though, because I don’t always know how big I am, and I’m still working on understanding personal space (especially when I want to cuddle!). I sleep in my foster mom’s 16-year-old’s room and I’m a big cuddler. I’m also a fan of squeaky toys—anything that keeps me busy and entertained! I need an active family who can give me plenty of exercise and adventure. I’d be thrilled to go on hikes, walks, or any other fun outings. I love to explore and see the world around me. I’m a *big* fan of people and greet everyone with tons of enthusiasm, but I’m still learning not to jump up in my excitement. I might be a little much for tiny kiddos, just because I don’t always realize how big I am and could accidentally knock them over, but I’m great with my foster family’s 7-year-old. I adore hugs and kisses! If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and playful companion who will always be by your side, I might just be the one for you! Let’s go on adventures together—I can’t wait to meet you! Bennie was born on the beautiful White Earth reservation on 4/22/2024. Sadly, shortly after the puppies were born, their beloved owner passed away. The mother and her 12 puppies found temporary shelter at animal control up North. At just two weeks old, they were welcomed into a Ruff Start Rescue foster home. Bennie found his way back into rescue and is looking for his forever home! Bennie is now 9 month old and full of life! He would love a family that can exercise him a lot and work with him on training - Bennie wants to learn! Bennis is good with dogs, he's kennel trained and potty trained! One of his siblings had a DNA test done and it confirmed that the puppies are mostly Lab and Shepherd! He's a sweet boy! Bennie is from a local reservation.
