Story
Black is a handsome fella. Don't know why he gets overlooked. He could not be a better dog. He COULD use a big dose of confidence. He is people friendly but takes a little time to warm up and then he is mush in your hands. He is dog friendly and goes in a play group with other dogs during the day. Black would benefit greatly from an adopter who would make him feel safe, loved, and who would work on building him up to feel like the good boy that WE KNOW HE IS. UPDATE-Black has recently gone on a weekend field trip to see how he behaves in a home. The weekend fosters said he was absolutely wonderful, a little shy at first but so loving and a great house guest. He even let them give him a bath. Black is waiting for his much deserved forever home.

Story
This sweet girl is Ivy and we would like to find the perfect home for her. Ivy is around 1-2 yrs old and walks great on a leash. We do not believe she was treated very well before coming to the shelter and she can be shy (especially with males) but will quickly warm up to people after about a five minute introduction with treats:) She thinks she would like to be a lap dog and seems to be very affectionate immediately following a few pets and a little sweet talk. We are still learning her likes and dislikes (like other dogs). If anyone deserves a "Do Over", Its Ivy and we would like a person/family that has the desire to provide a great environment for this very deserving girl probably the first time ever. Please make Ivy's dream come true and set up an appointment to visit by calling 662-393-5857. Ivy is available for adoption and will be released to an approved home following her mandatory spay.

Story
Penny is a hilarious, smart, affectionate and loyal senior who is about 8 years old. She is extremely funny and has a hilarious quirk of sneaking into the old cat's wet food! She can be independent and also a couch potato who enjoys a good snuggle and a movie. She's an all-around great gal and will steal your heart in no time! Penny is a wonderful companion and she can't wait to meet you! Penny. Do you see the sparkle in this girls eyes? Penny was such a sad little confused dog at our local shelter. She’s an older gal and we couldn’t leave her at the shelter. She’s really enjoying toys and chewy’s now. A nice family sent Christmas toys for the dogs and she loves her benebone and a stuffed toy she hasn’t shredded yet. This older girl really has the personality. Trying to match her up with possibly another senior human that’s home most of the time. She does fine on her own but I just think she would be an amazing companion. She will follow you or any company around the house. She's gotta keep an eye on you! Penny will let you know when it’s time to go out to potty and also when it’s breakfast and dinner time. Her DNA Results show 18.7% Lab, 14.1% Irish Setter, 12.5% Border Collie, 12.2 Chihuahua, 7.9% Pomeranian, 6.3% Chow, 5.4% American Eskimo, 22.9% Super Mutt! She is spayed, heartworm negative, weighs 34 pounds, fully vaccinated and current on all preventatives. Her adoption fee is $150 If interested in giving this pet a home, please send us an email and we will send you an application to fill out. saveonepet@gmail.com Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes to foster the animals until they find a forever home. Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter, heart worm check, current vaccines, microchip, worming and heart worm/flea/tick prevention. For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verification. When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract.

Story
Hi! My name is Winnie!   I would love to meet you in person—that’s kind of my thing. But the internet is life these days, so I’ll give it a shot!   I think life is an adventure, and I am excited about everything! My sister and my foster think I have too much energy, but I’m pretty sure that’s impossible. I love to walk, but I’d rather run. And I will play until the sun goes down, and then snuggle until we can play again.   I have been fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. I weigh around 50 pounds.   All I need is a forever home, and some love. And maybe some play time. Lots and lots of play time.   Winnie, along with her sister, were found in rural Mississippi on August 10, 2022. At the time of her rescue, the vet estimated her to be about 6 months old. We picked February 25th to celebrate as her birthday, and she and her sister had a fun time celebrating their first.   When we found Winnie, she had a broken leg. Her veterinarian says it has mended nicely, and seems to have left her without any ill effects. She also has a partially blue eye—we aren’t sure if it is congenital, or caused by the same injury that broke her leg.   Winnie tries very hard to be good. As far as housebreaking goes, she is mostly there, and very well crate trained. She is also trained to sit, shake, and stay, though excitement tends to overcome her determination to listen.    You can apply to adopt Winnie at www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   Her adoption fee is $200.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Winnie here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 10:00 am
