Story
Kimo is a very sweet dog but his girl adopted him from a shelter after being told he would max out at 35 lbs and can't properly care for this big guy. He has small dog friends (his best friend is a 3lb pom) and a really old orange cat pal. Used to have a 55 lb Husky friend to play with outside but the husky friend moved out state with their kid for school. Loves the outdoors, playing with toys, standing on his igloo, going for walks, and getting scritches. Very submissive personality. Knows some basic commands, definitely food motivated and trainable.

Story
Harvey is a 2.5 year old lab mix who is energetic, sweet, smart, and ready for his perfect family. Born in July 2022, he joined our family in August. Harvey’s dad is a full blooded lab and his mom is a lab/weimaraner mix. He was the runt of the litter, very playful and sweet, and wanted as much love and cuddles as he could get. The runt of the litter is now approximately 103lbs still full of sugar and wanting lots of love. Harvey is an outdoor dog and has never spent time inside being house or crate trained. He loves taking walks on a leash and playing outside. He still very much has puppy energy, and needs to be with a family that has older kids, or with adults.

Story
Casper here! I'm a young male dog with lots of love to give. They call me friendly, curious, cuddly, and well, just straight up adorable! I have a great time running around and roughhousing with other dogs and older kids; but when it's time to chill, I love nothing more than to snuggle up with you. I think cats are really interesting, but I don’t understand them yet. My foster home has two other dogs, and sometimes we cuddle up together. I'm almost fully crate- and house-trained, and I’m learning to walk on a leash and other commands, too! If you choose me, I will show you my devotion as your furever best friend with plenty of kisses and nose boops. Are you ready to see if we're a match? ** Please note that while Casper is not currently neutered, this will be included in his adoption process ** Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Story
Hi there. I’m Moose, and I want to be your friend! Can I follow you around? Sit beside you? Lay on you? I'll be the perfect dog for you. Well, unless there is food nearby. That may distract me just a bit. But otherwise, I’m all yours. Foster mom thinks I’m a lab/husky/something mix, but would love to see what a DNA test says. My fur is as soft as silk and I've got a cute, jaunty curl in my tail that won't stop wagging! They say I was born in April, so I’m still a puppy. I’m goofy, playful, and mischievous--but I’m not destructive. I might sneak into the trash can if I can, or counter surf. Like I said, food gets me every time. I'll be forever grateful if you can teach me how to grow into a good boy and your best friend! Do you want to meet me? And maybe adopt me? I love making new friends, both human and canine, and I'm always up for a game of fetch or an adventurous hike. I’ll be your bestest boy ever!
