Story
From Foster: Percy appeared shy and nervous during the ride home from the shelter but that all changed the second we introduced him to our two dogs. He didn’t show any aggression towards them at all and just immediately wanted to get down to the business of playing! He’s quite young and has a lot of energy so he’d do well in a home with other dogs and/or a fenced backyard where he can romp to his heart’s content. We have a 5 ft fence and have not seen any attempts to dig or jump which is a good thing. He’s getting pretty good on a leash so he also enjoys long walks to release some energy. He’s not 100% potty trained yet but he is getting better and better as time goes by. He is aware of our cats and has expressed curiosity, but not in a vicious way. Given the chance, he might do just fine in a home with cats but can’t say for certain as we keep them separate at our house. All in all, Percy has a very sweet personality and love nothing more than a good long cuddle! He will make an excellent companion for someone who is looking for an active pal!

Holly is equal parts snuggle and play. She loves her foster brother and follows his lead on most things. She is great at going potty outside but still has the occasional accident. Holly enjoys playing in her water bowl and splashing around, when it is empty she lets us know by bringing it to us. She is a silly and sweet baby girl who is going to grow into the best dog. Story
Noelle's puppies came into AARF care, along with their sweet mama in early December, while they were still nursing pups. Mom appears to be a medium (45 pounds) Black Lab mix, and dad is the usual mystery. They have been healthy and loved in AARF foster care ever since then, and are now ready to find their new forever homes. With Clause's baby-blue eyes, he makes the perfect cuddle puppy. He is a bit mouthy, as are all puppies, so be sure to keep those chew toyss handy! Clause is doing well with potty-training 101, but does have way to go! He would make a great addition to any home, that can provide cuddles, playtime and love! Story
Honey is a two-year-old yellow lab mix. She is around 50lbs and is full grown. Her ears are almost like a sharpei type breed ears along with her curly half tail. Her golden eyes will mesmerize you. Honey was found as an abandoned stray with another puppy. She is housebroken, walks great on a leash, and loves to cuddle and give kisses. She loves everyone she meets. Honey knows how to sit and catch a treat. Honey is the best dog! She loves to play with other dogs she meets, gets along great with cats who are ok with dogs, and loves to cuddle with humans, too. Honey will sleep with her person all through the night and enjoys naps by the window. She can entertain herself with chew toys while left alone but is also crate trained. She does prefer to have a dog buddy with her to pass the time and keep her company. Honey loves to run and would be a great walking or running partner, do well at doggie daycare, or chilling at her home. If you would like to meet Honey, please visit our website at hsdavie.org/dogs and complete an adoption application on her.

Story
WE MUST TALK ABOUT BRUNO! Bruno is a large lab/hound mixed breed around 75 lbs. He is 3 years old. Bruno was surrendered to a local shelter from a sad situation, but he is ready to put the past behind him and find his forever home. Poor Bruno was the only dog but lived with several cats and came from a hoarding case. He is housebroken, gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. He loves to explore his new surroundings and thinks everything is his toy. He is doing well leash training and loves to be outside walking or playing. Bruno is a strong guy. He needs a fenced in yard or someone who can handle his strength. He needs a family to allow him to continue training and exercises him regularly. Due to Bruno's past, you would think he would have some trust issues with humans, but he loves everyone he meets instead. He wants to show you how much he loves you by tackling you sometimes without meaning to. He's a big goofball and doesn't know his size. In Bruno's heart, soul, and mind, he identifies as a Shitzu. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. If you're interested in adopting Bruno, please visit our website at hsdavie.org/dogs and complete an adoption application.

Story
Meet Daisy: Your New Best Friend! Age: 6 Years Personality: Daisy is a happy girl who absolutely adores cuddling and being around her family. Her favorite activities include snuggling on the couch, going for long walks, and showing off her tricks. She knows how to sit, give paw, and lay down, putting her on the right track for additional training. Behavior: Daisy is leash trained and potty trained, so she’s ready to fit seamlessly into your home. While she is great on the leash, she can get a bit overexcited and reactive when she sees other dogs or small animals while out walking. She’s still learning to stay calm and focused, and we’re working on her training to help her manage her excitement better. While Daisy gets along with people, she would be happiest as the only pet in a household where she can be the center of attention.
