Story
Her name is Harley. I was keeping her for a friend that left town due to her job. She recently let me know she can't take her back. I live in a mobile home and can't keep her. I have my grandbaby and another grandbaby on the way. She is great with kids. She needs to be leash trained. I have had her for over a year 1/2 and she never has had an accident in my home. She loves as much attention she can get. I have had her around a kitten she seemed to be ok at first, she barks but is fine once she gets use to it. Not too sure about other dogs she not been around any. She does bark at tall thin men that wears a hat but has never bit anyone. She has never chewed on shoes or the baby toys. I had a heart issue in December and just can't keep her. She is a great addition to any family. I'm willing to let you take her and try her out for a week and if it don't work out you can bring her back. We lover her but there is no room, and she would love to have a nice yard to run in. She is 3 to 4 years

Story
Gucci is a lab/boxer mix, he is approx 6 months old and 22 lbs, he will probably be in the 40 to 50 lb range when fully grown. He is one of a litter of puppies rescued from a known dumping ground in Houston TX. Gucci is a typical puppy, he loves to run and play in the yard. Gucci gets along with the other rescue dogs. He is not yet fully house or leash/harness trained, but he is very smart and learns very quickly. He is a little on the shy side with people but will always run up for a treat! Gucci is a very handsome boy with beautiful markings and he has a very nice disposition. He will be a great family dog and companion. He would be a great dog for hiking or the dog park. Gucci must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and he must have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Gucci is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Gucci's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Columbus, Akron, or Cinncinnati OH. Gucci is with our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please email kathy@houstonshaggydogrescue.org if you are interested in adopting this good boy. Peanut PeteMaleAge: 2-3 yearsWeight: 52lbsBreed: Terrier/Lab Mix Hey there, I'm Peanut Pete. I am a sassy and spunky boy who is house trained and crate trained. I get along great with kids, but I'm just not really interested in them. I am dog friendly with slow and proper introductions and time to decompress and I should be good around cats too. I am great on leash for walks with my foster mom. I love going on walks, car rides, and playing with my foster brother. He has taught me so much about how to be a dog. I think a fur sibling and a fenced in yard would be amazing but not necessary. I pretty much love nothing more than to give hugs and kisses. I'm just looking for someone to share my love with. If you are looking for a dog who is sweet and smart and an extra great cuddler, I am your guy and I cannot wait to find a family all my own who will provide me all the love I deserve! If you are interested in meeting Pete, apply to adopt him at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $350 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 5 years old or older.  ##1912007##

Story
FalcorMaleAge: 10 monthsWeight: 41 lbsBreed: Lab Mix Hi! I’m Falcor. I am a sweet, energetic and goofy guy who gets along great with other dogs and cats and kids of all ages.  I am house trained and crate trained (I can be left alone for the duration of your normal work day) and I walk well on a leash too. I am a happy guy and I get pretty excited about just about everything – including mealtime and when I am playing. I don’t have a favorite treat because I enjoy everything I am given. The same with toys. I enjoy all of them. I know commands too! I know: “sit” and “crate” and I am working on “shake”, “wait” and “stay”. Even though I love to play and play some more and I like taking my walks too, I am a great cuddler and melt into a puddle on the floor when I get my big floppy ears rubbed. Oh, and I really enjoy joining my family for all activities like visits to breweries, parks and taking car rides! I cannot wait to find my very own active family who will teach me new things as I continue learn and grow.  If you are interested in meeting this energetic yet cuddly guy, apply to adopt him at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 5 years old or older.  ##2073105##

Story
He is a very well behaved boy. Chocolate lab, we have had him since he was 8wks old, he is now 4yrs old. We are torn apart about having to rehome him. he is our baby and unfortunately due to traveling for work are needing to give him away. we have tried to leave him with family and friends but have seen that he hasnt been well taken care of. we are away for months at a time and though we do not want to give him up, its what would be best for him. he is very loving and loves to lay next to, on or near us. loves to go for walks. Is great with kids as we have a 14month old and is a gentle giant with him. We have left him with a sitter who had kids and we were told they became besties! We would love a good loving and active family for our sweet furbaby.

He’s always excited about a car ride and will sit quietly just enjoying the adventure. Dislikes: Marty can be nervous when new people come visit, but then realizes treats galore will be tossed. What makes this dog special: Marty is such a joy to have around. He fit into his foster home immediately. What good manners! He knows basic commands like sit and down. Marty is 100% potty trained. Name: Anderson Cooper Gender: Male Age: 6 months Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Lab Mix Energy Level: Medium-High Dog Friendly: Cooper likes to wrestle and play at daycare but needs to be the only dog at home.  Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes, kids 12+ because he needs guidance and has a lot of energy Apartment Friendly: Yes Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks/exercise Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes What makes this dog special: If you missed the instagram post, Anderson Cooper was promoted on social media by the real Andy Cohen (@bravoandy) himself! You're actually adopting a little super star by adopting this special boy. He's a super fun loving guy, looking to be your ride or die all day long, then your lap dog come evening.  He has been uninterested in cats and horses. One of the best leash walkers we've ever met. Coop can be on a tie out, and while a fence is great, hasn’t been necessary as he has fantastic recall. He's also great in the car! Our favorite thing about Coop is how he will greet you with a smile, a kiss and jump right into your arms. He truly loves humans and wants to be around them as much as he can.  Ideal Home/Adopter: Looking for an active home (hiking, running, agility, continues training classes, etc) would be best for his high energy.  Coop attends daycare and is an absolute favorite among the employees. He loves to romp and play with the big dogs! (He thinks he is a big dog after all!) Cooper has basic obedience but he is just a pup so still has some things to learn, but he is very smart and very treat motivated.  Anderson Cooper's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in Anderson, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. Meet Serena! Gender: Female Age: 1 year Current Weight: 40lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Lab mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Serena lives with another dog and they get along swimmingly, however slow intros are required. Not your thing? No worries!  Serena is happy to be the solo pup.  Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 8 years old or older Apartment Friendly: Currently lives in an apartment but would do better in a house Physical Fence Requirement: Fence with visual privacy, any height Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Serena is looking for a forever home with a stable cast of characters, just like from her favorite TV show, Parks and Rec.  She's dog-reactive but currently cohabiting with another dog, showing that she can adapt with the right guidance. Serena is a bit nervous around new people, so a home with familiar faces is ideal to help her feel secure and comfortable. Adopt Serena, and you'll have your very own "Lil' Sebastian" to brighten your days!  And we mean lil', she is a tiny 40 pounds.  If you work from home, Serena is the perfect companion. She'll happily nap under your desk, waiting for playtime and fun breaks. Serena is a quick learner, treat-motivated, and loves to show off her skills whether it is performing tricks or solving puzzles.  Likes: Serena loves to play fetch. Much like her namesake (the OG Serena), she supports women's sports, whether she is playing them or watching them with you on the couch.  She is just happy to have you as her teammate.  Dislikes: Cats are terrible in her expert opinion. Just let us know if you want to see her credentials and full details of her scientific study.  What makes this dog special: Serena is such a loving and funny girl. From awkward sleeping positions to her array of hilarious vocals, this delightful girl knows how to communicate love and joy. Scoop her up before the competition! Serena's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. Story
Meet Sasha! This sweet girl came to us after spending her life at a puppy mill. Sasha was used strictly for breeding and never knew what it was like to be a companion. Now that she is out, she is learning to love her new life!  Due to being kept in a kennel 24/7 with little to no human contact, Sasha has had a lot to adjust to! She has done amazing! She can still get nervous in new situations and a loud, busy environment isn't for her. She will need a patient owner who is committed to helping her learn to be a dog and thrive in her new found freedom!  Sasha is wonderful with other dogs and heavily relies on them for confidence. Due to this we will require her forever home have at least one friendly, confident canine companion to show her the ropes! She is also good with cats. Due to her skittish nature Sasha would do best in a home with older, more quiet, respectful children. Toddlers would be too much for her.  This girl completed our prison training program and did wonderful! She understands her basic commands and is happy to do them! She is still a little skittish on the leash, but with time and work we have no doubt she will do great with that too!  Sasha is crate trained, house trained and loves attention once she warms up in her environment. She is also up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. If you are looking for a smiling, wiggly, yellow pup to greet you every time you come home and have the patience and love in your heart to show her she can trust humans, we would love to talk to you! Please visit out website and complete an adoption application! https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables   Her adoption fee is $350  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Story
Look at that Mona Lisa smile!Miss Mona Lisa has gone through a life of living on the run and is looking for a kind family to take her in so she can enjoy life now. For years, she had litter after litter of puppies. When a neighbor reported that she, as a stray, was running around their neighborhood, Rico Pet Recovery stepped in to humanely trap her. She went to live with one of our wonderful fosters who found out that she was pregnant and helped her deliver her final litter of puppies. Fast forward to now and this sweet 4-5 year old black lab mix is still looking for a family. She wants to learn how to live a life with lots of toys and naps in the sunshine, or snuggled up next to you. She lived briefly with a foster who had a 2-year old and she was great with him. She's curious about cats, but will listen to the word 'no' when she's around them. This sweet girl wants to please, but will need patience as she learns how to fit into your family. Her life on the run still leaves her itching for adventure though. Mona Lisa MUST go to an adopter who has a fenced in yard and who will ensure that she wears a harness she can't slip out of on walks. She learned how to be quite the escape artist while she was a stray and we want to ensure that once this sweet girl joins your family, she is secure.Mona Lisa is about 50-60 pounds of wonderful softness. Apply at ricopetrecovery.org. Her adoption fee is $250.
