She’s currently living with her foster family, who can’t stop raving about how incredibly sweet and gentle she is. One of Opal’s best qualities? Story
We adopted Teddy when he was 8 weeks old. He is now just over 1 year old. Our 3 young kids were nervous around dogs so we wanted to let them have a puppy that would grow with them so they wouldn’t be nervous anymore. We didn’t take into consideration the amount extra work it would be fully for us as parents. Teddy is great with the kids and is great all around. We just dont have the ability to give him the full amount of attention that he needs as a one year old dog. We want him to go to a good home and hope that is you.

Story
Meet Serena! Gender: Female Age: 1 year Current Weight: 40lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Lab mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Serena lives with another dog and they get along swimmingly, however slow intros are required. Not your thing? No worries!  Serena is happy to be the solo pup.  Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 8 years old or older Apartment Friendly: Currently lives in an apartment but would do better in a house Physical Fence Requirement: Fence with visual privacy, any height Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Serena is looking for a forever home with a stable cast of characters, just like from her favorite TV show, Parks and Rec.  She's dog-reactive but currently cohabiting with another dog, showing that she can adapt with the right guidance. Serena is a bit nervous around new people, so a home with familiar faces is ideal to help her feel secure and comfortable. Adopt Serena, and you'll have your very own "Lil' Sebastian" to brighten your days!  And we mean lil', she is a tiny 40 pounds.  If you work from home, Serena is the perfect companion. She'll happily nap under your desk, waiting for playtime and fun breaks. Serena is a quick learner, treat-motivated, and loves to show off her skills whether it is performing tricks or solving puzzles.  Likes: Serena loves to play fetch. Much like her namesake (the OG Serena), she supports women's sports, whether she is playing them or watching them with you on the couch.  She is just happy to have you as her teammate.  Dislikes: Cats are terrible in her expert opinion. Just let us know if you want to see her credentials and full details of her scientific study.  What makes this dog special: Serena is such a loving and funny girl. From awkward sleeping positions to her array of hilarious vocals, this delightful girl knows how to communicate love and joy. Scoop her up before the competition! Serena's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Serena, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved.   Thanks to Emma Mortellaro, (614) Media Group, for providing some of the photos.  ##1720305##

Story
Meet Tucker! This 2-year-old Lab mix came all the way from Texas! One of our volunteers was on vacation and noticed he was wondering the neighborhood. After speaking to the local shelter, it was revealed this guy belonged to an elderly person who could no longer care for him. The shelter was full and could not take him, so we made arrangements, and he made his way to Ohio! Tucker is such a sweet, gentle, calm, BIG (95 pound) guy! He absolutely adores people and getting attention. He melts right in to you and soaks up all the affection you can give. We cannot stress enough how sweet he is!  Tucker has completed our training program and has all the skills he needs to find his forever home! He can be a little dominant with other dogs so he would do best with a submissive friend or as a solo pup. He can also be a fence jumper so either a tall (6ft+) privacy fence OR someone committed to keeping him on a leash is important.  This lovable guy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative, crate trained, potty trained and ready to bring all the love he can to your family! If you are interested in Tucker please visit our website and complete an application: Adoptables — Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio His adoption fee is $350  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Due to the volume of apps and inquiries, we may not be able to respond to everyone.February 17, 2025, 11:29 am
