Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.1/14/25 Sanford is in need of a foster home or adopter. When i say this is a WONDERFUL dog, I mean it with all my heart. This guy is the easiest dog ever. He bothers absolutely nothing. He is so content to just curl up in his bed and sleep all day. He is almost totally house trained (only a couple accidents when I didn't let him out fast enough). He's quiet and you wouldn't even know he's there, except when he hears a car start up, because he wants to ride. He is soooo submissive to other dogs which brings me to the reason for looking for another foster/adopter. My dogs all have strong personalities. No one has attacked him or anything like that. But one growl from one of them, and he immediately goes to his crate or the bathroom closet that he has claimed as his own. It breaks my heart for him to be so secluded. Tonight, for the first time, I got him to come into the living room with us while we were having some down time. I was so proud of him for finally having the courage to come in here! He was doing great, until he came to rest his head on the back of the couch behind me, and Thelma snapped at him. He immediately ran to the bathroom and now won't come back. It's so sad. He wants to be with people. He LOVES ALL PEOPLE. And he would love a dog companion who is mellow like him, that would accept him. He is very sensitive and gets his feelings hurt when my dogs are ugly to him, and it breaks my heart so much to see him hide away, spending all day and night alone. He deserves better than this. He has the kindest, most gentle soul, and all the love in the world to give. His only negative is that he will bolt if you don't have a fence. I don't think he really wants to get away, he just seems to have that hound mentality and follows his nose, which could be dangerous for him. So a secure fence would be best. It doesn't have to be super tall, ours in only 4ft in front and he has never tried to jump or climb it. Other than that, he is the perfect companion and friend. Sanford came to us with a badly broken jaw. He is estimated 10 years old. We've had his jaw repaired, but he still has a tooth that sticks out and his bottom lip is droopy. This is just how he is now, and I've told him it only makes him more interesting and handsome. He does have heartworm and has just finished his 30 days of doxy, so he will be getting his injections to get rid of the heartworms this week. We hope and pray for no complications with that. We just want him to be healthy. He is the sweetest, most kind hearted dog I've ever met. And he deserves to spend the rest of his life surrounded by a family who loves him, not secluded in a crate or closet all alone. If you would consider opening your home to this distinguished gentleman, please message me with any questions or more info. Whoever ends up with him will be so lucky. He will love you with his whole heart. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.  Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays Port Jervis, NY 5am Fridays or Southington, CT 8am Fridays  East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays  To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any details questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Rune is a sweet, playful, 3 1/2-month-old girl. Smaller than her two siblings, Rune keeps up with their energy level and holds her own when it comes to playtime. Comparatively, Rune has longer legs and a slimmer face than her brother and sister, who are a bit heavier-set, and has black lab features, despite being a mix. Like her mother, her ears are starting to get a bit of fluffiness, and there is a chance that they may stand up like her mother’s do as well! Rune is a puppy, so she will have high energy levels, need to be house trained, and will need a patient owner who has space for her to grow into. Her mother is medium sized, around 40lbs, with shorter legs, but we have no idea who her father is as she came from a hoarding situation with 25 other dogs. Despite this, she was brought into our care young, and did not face the behavioral effects of living in the situation, and neither did her siblings. She can be housed with another dog, as she is alright with dogs bigger than her, but she will need to learn manners as she is still young. Are you ready to bring a puppy into your home? Rune will give you years of unconditional love and companionship, don't miss out on this sweet baby. PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please copy and paste the following URL for the adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FPSL/Dog Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once they are adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.

Loki is in a New England foster home.   1/18/25 Loki Babiessss! These little ones were born to a sweet little stray mama that was taken in by a good Samaritan. They are keeping mom. When the babies were only 2 weeks old, mom got a severe case of mastitis and could no longer nurse. The finder, being fully committed to the health and well being of the babies as well as mom, took all 8 pups to work with her every single day so they wouldn't miss any of their meals. She bottle fed all of them until they were old enough to eat on their own. They are now in a foster home. They are happy, healthy babies! Mom looks like a golden retriever mix (she is pictured last), and of course we have no idea what dad is. Mom on the smaller side, about 30 lbs. We estimate these babies will be in the 35-50lb range. They are all super adorable! We will make a seperate post for each of them. This baby is Loki, he is a male with a beautiful golden blonde coat. He is one of the larger puppies in this litter. Their date of birth is 10/25/24. They will be spayed/neutered at the end of this month and can go to their homes early Feb. Please help us find these babies loving, forever homes. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/13/25 Nova Nova is, in fact, a little star. With movie star good looks and a fun personality, she is 25lbs of energy. Nova's motto is, 'When life puts an obstacle (gate) in your way, just go over it!' (There might be some Treeing Walker Coonhound in her lol) She is about 4.5 months old. Her mom is smallish, about 30 pounds, and looks like a mini Golden Retriever. It is likely that Nova is very mixed with several breeds. Dad is unknown. Nova is-• Fully crate trained, sleeping through the night and dry most days while her foster parents are at work.• Practicing going potty outside in the tundra . She’s happy the snow is melting! • Good with other dogs. Interested in cats in a playful, not harmful, kind of way.• Young enough to learn to be gentle with children.• Very shy at first, and will find every hidey hole imaginable, but she warms up fast. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. We have videos of this girl too. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/14/25 Chloe Chloe is a very astute pup! She is an absolute sweetheart, very playful, smart and is picking things up very quickly. She is 25lbs+ of energy, and growing. She is hilarious in the house when zoomies arise; darting from one end to the other, up and over her foster sisters. It is quite the event. Chloe’s favorite thing to do is go outside into the woods. I think she actually prefers outside in the warmth or cold than inside the house. Any chance she gets to roll in the leaf litter and burry as far as she can into what is left of the snow. She is a lab mix, but I’d say she has some type of hearty dog breed mixed in because she prefers the cooler temps. She will be an excellent hiking buddy! She is about 4 months old. Her mom is about 30lbs and looks like a mini Golden Retriever. It is likely that Chloe is very mixed with several breeds. Dad is unknown.
