Story
Chuck is a 70lb sweet boy. We’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old as we adopted him over Covid. 90% of the time he’s as sweet as can be but he’s been diagnosed highly anxious by two vets. We’ve tried medicine and it works in the short term like for thunderstorms and fireworks but it makes things worse when he is on it full time. We’ve done extensive training with him. He’s crate trained and loves spending time there as it is his safe space. He’s house trained and is not allowed on furniture. He also walks great on the leash. Unfortunately, it’s a matter of unpredictability that scares us. We’ve never been seriously bitten and when he has nipped at us he’s very shameful and goes to his crate. We’ve never understood what actually triggers him. Our trainer says, he has a threshold and when he hits that threshold he just sees red. He could definitely be manage with a household without children but we’ve created boundaries to keep him away from our child.

Story
I found him on the side of the road hit by a car. He is brave, fully recovered. Shots up to date. Eats any food. Loves going outside to explore. Is also lazy and can sleep all day but when you get him excited he is very playful. I have his leash, collar with his name and bowls for him upon adoption. Has the most personality I have ever seen in a dog. He knows how to communicate to you exactly what he needs. Perfect dog for a loving home.

Meet our two little beans Thelma & Louise! These two itty bitty girls were found on the side of the road all by their lonesome. We were pulling a different set of dogs from the shelter and saw these two in a staff members office! We currently have a nursing momma with puppies who are 2 days older than these girls so we were able to introduce these two to the momma dog and the rest was history! Now that they have a momma dog looking after them they truly have a fighting chance! Thelma and Louise are around 4 weeks old currently and need about another month before looking for forever homes. Follow along for more updates on these sweet baby girls!

Story
Meet our Independence Day Litter! These babies were quite the surprise! We pulled their momma, Gumbo almost two months prior and there was no indication she was carrying a fully belly of babies! Gumbo went on to see two different vets as she was having some digestive issues and still-no sign of puppies! Low and behold when it came time for her spay surgery it was evident she was about to give birth! We have only ever had that happen once before, sometimes these momma's are super sneaky about their babies! Well nonetheless Gumbo, a 50 pound yellow lab gave birth to thirteen healthy tiny little beans on the fourth of July during all the fireworks! Momma was the best and doted on her little ones 24/7 all growing like little weeds! Momma was so amazing that she even took in 2 little surrogate puppies who have been thriving ever since! We have no idea who dad was but these babies hardly weigh a pound and are almost 6 weeks old! They will be ready to go around 8/29 and will be fully vetted, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and will be spayed/neutered as they reach the appropriate weights! If interested in adopting apply today at www.dustytailsanimalrescue.org Be warned you will get serious puppy aggression and want to squeeze them all because they are SO stinking cute.

400 DAYS IN FOSTER O APPLICATIONS Someone needs to give him a chance. They will see this loving, goofy boy who is just scared to be hurt again. Imagine being Joe... Once in a home then the next minute in a highly rural shelter. Then OVER a year later, you are still in foster care!! Unfortunately a few foster homes since no one ever plans on fostering for that long...so you go where you are asked to go. Not 1 application. Not 1 click on petfinder. Still searching for love & his human Joe is who he is. He would rather sunbathe for hours and tan his golden skin than do any type of crazy leash activity, like walking!! He needs a home where he'll get some exercise but he's pretty low key. He prefers running around in a yard or fenced area to a leash. His recall is fabulous! Joe is just that dog who is amazing in a house, and one with a backyard. He's just unsure of the world when he goes outside (and in a way we can't blame him). He's a homebody. He's good with dogs. He is a big cuddle bear with a tongue that hangs out every chance it can. He's crate trained. Apply to adopt rosierescue.org

Story
Meet Hushpuppy! 2-3 years old/45 lbs Hushpuppy is a very loving girl, she wants to be by your side constantly. She loves to cuddle in bed with her legs up in the air. She does well with small dogs and cats. The current foster has very confident cats who don't run at the sight of a dog, however, if the cats do get the zoomies Hushpuppy does get a bit excited and try to chase. So would do best in a home with chill and confident cats. She likes to play and would benefit from a dog her size to play with. She is very very smart and is eager to please, just needs more time and intentional training. She would do best with a household who is home majority of the time. Hushpuppy does well on a leash! Very chill, with little to no pulling. Apply to adopt rosierescue.org

Story
This girl is incredible. Imagine this.... Your first experience with humans was terrible. Callie and her sister were trapped by a human and left in a kennel outside to live day in and day out....Never once being given proper care or human love....Never once being held or petted. Never once knowing what love is. Just living in a crate scared and enduring the worst that the weather and life brought to her. Once animal control got word, they had to go get them in a rainstorm and almost couldn't due to flooding. They were trapped in that kennel in the rain. THIS GIRL deserves the world. She deserves to know that the world isn't so cruel. Can you do that? Callie loves her toys, snuggling, and chewing (ha puppy vibes!). It takes a while for her to warm up to people, but once she does, she's a super sweet, cuddly, and loving girl. Callie needs a home that is patient and has experience with shy / reserve dogs. She is fully potty trained and sleeps well in her crate at night. Callie would do best with a fenced in yard and with other dogs who can show her the ropes. She's a sweet girl who, with time and training, has great potential to be someone's forever companion. She prefers male dogs to female however that isn't to say your female she wouldn't get along with (Us ladies can be selective ya know?! ). Her fosters have done incredible but it's time for her to fly. BONUS: Callie knows sit, lay down, and paw!!! 45lbs / 11 months / fully vetted. Apply at rosierescue.org

Story
Unfortunately I need to rehome Peachy because a grandchild (whom I care for on a very regular basis) has developed severe allergies. Peachy was three in April. She is, best guess, a Lab/Husky mix. She weighs about 68 pounds. She is both housebroken and crate trained but generally does not use the crate. She walks well on a leash but does pull some when passing other dogs, only because she wants to play. She loves playing with other dogs. Her interaction with cats is unknown. She has never been aggressive to dogs or people. She is a giant snuggler and sweetheart who loves everybody. She loves activity but has settled into a quiet life as well. She does enjoy being outside so a fenced yard would be ideal.

Story
THESE EARS!!!!!! 2.5 yrs 37lbs (full grown) Millie is a very sweet, very smart girl, and she is ready for the companionship and comfort of her own family. Millie has reached many milestones in foster. From her foster -Adapted to leash walking very quickly, loves walks, and is easily redirected when distracted -Sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, enters her crate when directed, & following dinner, often lounges in the big dog's crate with her favorite Nylabone / Prefers an XL crate -Housebroken -Doesn't know a stranger! Even tempered. Although very friendly, playful and confident, innately respects the "personal space of my dogs, especially my senior dog. -Good training focus (loves treats) & responds to commands (sit, wait, down, bed, crate, and no). Also, waits at the door for her release command to go outside. Smart and a quick study, but needs consistent training. -Eats meals with my pack of 4 and waits patiently with the pack for treats -Becomes very excited when waiting for her meals, but after establishing a "sit & wait sequence, Millie is demonstrating improvement. -Rides well in the car. Within hours of her transport to freedom, Millie confidently followed me into TSC, for a much-needed bath, acting as if this was a routine outing! -Eager, alert, outgoing, intelligent, adaptable, friendly with dogs & people, devoted - Millie is such a friendly dog, it's difficult to imagine her not liking anything or anyone. - Additionally, she has good recall. She's PAWFECT! Apply today Rosierescue.org

Story
Sweet Ainslie! Small dog! Dachshund mix maybe? 6-8 months old / 20lbs! Ainslie is the third of her litter who arrived this week from a shelter. Unfortunately they were marked urgent and all we jumped to save them, which isn't always an easy feat as we had to scramble for fosters and find transporters. Ainslie, is just a sweetheart and is happiest curled up and cuddling on your lap or chest. She is playful, will chase balls, play with toys and wants to please and be connected to other animals. She is making progress on potty training and walking on a leash. She is still easily scared with loud noises or feeling left alone but is quickly mimicking the other dogs reactions plus she LOVES treats!! Adoption ready / Fully vetted rosierescue.org
