Story
WOW, is Bailey a special girl! Smart as a whip! Bailey loves to play and loves to cuddle. Baily is looking for an active family that she can play with. She says she's not hyper because her favorite thing is sitting with her human and watching TV. Bailey is great with other dogs and would do really well with a playmate but it is not necessary that there be one already in the home. Bailey has not been cat tested but her fosters believe that she would want to chase after them if she saw one so best be sure to have a meet and greet first. Also, our adoption agency will have to put into effect a no children under the age of 13 rule. Bailey can sometimes growl if someone is doing something to her that she doesn't like. There has been no bitting and her fosters are working on this behavior.

Story
Please contact Vivienne (viviennejames@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Hi, my name is Bristol. I am a 3 year old, 35-40 lb female yellow lab mix. Totally a coincidence but I am as fast as the cars at Bristol Motor Speedway. My favorite thing to do is play fetch and I will play for as long as you are able to throw the ball and ALWAYS bring the ball back to you. I was rescued by Critter Cavalry from an Arkansas shelter and so very thankful to be in Tennessee. I have the best foster home with two foster brothers who are twice my size and I love to wrestle with them. I have more confidence when I have other dogs to show me how to be a dog. I am a little slow to warm up to new people and do not need an extremely active home with a lot of different people coming and going. Once I get to know you after a few days I will never leave your side! I am very well behaved inside the house, I am crate trained, house-trained, quiet, and would make the perfect work from home buddy - I have been keeping my foster mom company by napping next to her desk all day. I would do great in a home with adults only or a family with older children. A canine companion would be great but I'm also willing to take all the attention for myself if I'm the only dog. BUT did I mention the ball. I do need someone that likes ball as much as I do and a fenced in yard is a MUST. I warm up to women first, but after a few days, men are ok too. I just did not have a very good beginning to my short life. If you are patient and looking for a great companion, then you have found her in me. I am spayed and current on all my shots. To be considered for my forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net. APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.    November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! Story
This handsome bobtailed boy is called Stevie, short for Steve Cropper.  He was found on a very hot and dry August day the first of August and honestly he was near death from lack of food and water.  The asphalt was treacherously hot and his body was not holding up in all the 100+ degree heat.   A kind soul who is in the music industry took him home but honestly could not house him for more than a few days due to heavy travel and being on the road with his music obligations.  Some people told him to do just take him to a shelter (they are full) and lie about him trying to bite a child.  That way they would take him and put him to sleep for safety of the community.  This could not have been the fartherest thing from the truth.  A wonderful foster for Critter Cavalry was contacted and she absolutely jumped at the chance to help Stevie.   No regrets for one minute that she did either.  He is a wonderful  1 year, 50 pound boy that is  Lab/Aussie/Pit mix and possesses the most caring heart and kindest spirit.  He plays with everyone at the doggie daycare and wags that nub of a tail as fast as he can wag it when greeting people.  He is a dog that didn’t deserve to be euthanized when all the options were not exhausted.  We know that this smart and playful boy will be some family’s prized possession and love.  He is housetrained it seems and he is crate trained as well.  He is respectful of other dogs and their space and not once ounce of bad traits exist in this boy.  Step right up and let’s consider Stevie for your family or just you if you are single.  Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Benny- 60 lb, 12  months old, black with white paws, lab/shepard mix  Handsome Benny may look full grown but he's still just a playful, energetic puppy! This boy loves to play and wrestle with other dogs, he requires a fenced in yard where the fence is atleast 5 ft high so he can run and explore. He needs a doggie playmate.  He's agile enough to jump a fence should he want to, even though he has not tried at his foster home. He knows commands like come, sit and paw. Benny is a quiet, very friendly pup and great with people. He looks forward to cuddling up on the couch with his family. We think he would do very well in a two dog household as he does get lonely and bored when left alone. Exercise is a must for this boy so an active family would be great for him. He is fully potty trained.    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm
