Story
Meet Arthur, who we pulled out of a large shelter in Texas on the day he was to be euthanized...😥...Arthur was in terrible shape at the time - extremely thin, suffering from a nasty shelter related upper respiratory infection and heart worm positive...😑...He had a microchip, but the owners said they didn't want him back and surrendered him to the shelter......We had to move quick, because a shelter can euthanized an owner surrendered animal immediately, since they know there is not someone looking for them and most shelters need the space for lost/stray dogs...😞...Well, we sprung Arthur from the shelter, got him vetted, nursed him back to health and are now offering him for adoption to some lucky family.... Arthur is about 6 years old and currently weighs about 65 lbs., but his ideal weight is about 75 lbs...He is an extremely handsome, sweet boy who is dog and cat friendly and eager to please...Just look at that face!!!...Arthur LOVES water and playing with soccer balls, as well as retrieving and cuddling with his people...❤...Arthur's forever home MUST HAVE another friendly dog around Arthur's size and age to play with and a nice fenced yard for his off leash safety, because a happy lab is a lab who can run freely...❤ That said, if you live in the Northeast OR Texas and are interested in giving this sweet guy a home, please fill out an adoption application. Hope to hear from you soon......Arthur's adoption fee is $500, which includes complete vetting and medical record, new bed, Harness, leashes, collar, ball, bone, food for transitioning and transport to his new home.... Arthur is currently in boarding in Texas.

Story
Basil (Original name Myers) is ready to find his forever home...We saved Basil from the huge San Antonio Shelter, when he was just about to lose his life. Basil had been picked up as a stray and was suffering from a horrible URI infection at the time...It took a while, but this boy is healthy now and ready to find his forever family. Basil is a wonderful boy who is about 6 years old and 64 lbs...Basil has an adorable habit of carrying his bowl around with him and is very affectionate...Basil gets along fine with other dogs, but does not seem interested in playing, he just co-exists with them in his foster home, so this boy would be happiest in a quiet home with either work from home parents with older children or a retired couple, with a nice fenced yard for free mental time off leash. Basil is cat friendly! That said, if you live in the Northeast OR Texas and are interested in giving this sweet guy a home, please fill out an adoption application. Hope to hear from you soon......Arthur's adoption fee is $500, which includes complete vetting and medical record, new bed, Harness, leashes, collar, ball, bone, food for transitioning and transport to his new home.... His idea of a perfect evening is sharing a meal and snuggling up to watch a movie with you. Perfect Manners: Black Jack is not just a sweetheart but also a well-mannered gentleman. He has mastered potty training, knows how to use a doggy door, and effortlessly navigates stairs. Communication Pro: When it's time to come back inside, Black Jack politely lets you know by scratching his paw on the door. He's a great communicator and eager to please. Loving Companion: Black Jack responds to his name with a wagging tail and an eagerness for head and back scratches. He's the epitome of loyalty and devotion. In Conclusion: Black Jack's past may have been marred by cruelty, but his future is filled with love, compassion, and the promise of a happy, contented life. Story
This beautiful girl is looking for a home with a family of her own. She is very loving, affectionate, calm, 4-5 years - LOVES people and children. You could literally do pull on her ears and take food from her mouth and she would let you. She is dog-selective, but perfect in every other way. She was a stray, found with another male dog and gets along with him (they are in a foster home together) but has not gotten along with others (specifically a female in the same home). So far she pays no attention to cats (which is great) but we can't confirm she'll be completely compatible. Please reach out if you're interested in giving this wonderful girl a chance. We will facilitate a meet and greet, a trial period, foster-to-adopt, whatever is necessary to see if she's the perfect fit.
