Story
Rick is a friendly, black lab mix. He is a rescue from the Williamson County Animal Shelter, so I am unsure of his other breeds. Based on the vets estimations when I adopted him, he is about 7 years old now. I had to mark that he is not good with dogs, but I want to clarify that he does fine unless it is another alpha male. I am unsure of how he does with cats as he has never been around them. However, he loves people and is wonderful with kids, which is why I am having to make this very difficult decision to find a new home for him. My life has changed drastically since adopting him 6 years ago and it makes me sad to see him so lonely. Due to a divorce, two of my kids going off to college, and my need to take on a second job, he spends most of his time alone in the house. It is heartbreaking to see him so sad and I want to make sure he gets the love and attention he deserves from a family that has time to spend with him.

Story
Logan is the sweetest and most loving boy. He has an adorable silly side! He is about 45 lbs and 2 years old. He is fully house trained. Logan is dog-friendly with other dogs, he especially loves dogs that are similar size to him (medium & large). Dogs help Logan feel safer and more confident, so we are looking for a home that has another dog to help provide him support. Because of Logan's past life, he can be a little shy when meeting new people. But he adjusts quickly with a little love and patience.

Story
Cordelia is on the hunt for her forever home! We saved this sweetheart from euthanasia at a high intake animal shelter in South Texas. We believe she is around 4-5 years old. This happy girl loves everyone she meets, no matter what species (she is friendly with dogs, cats, even cattle!) Her favorite activities include relaxing on the couch, running at top speeds, and exploring nature. Cordelia is a friend to all, loves affection and giving kisses. She would thrive in an active home with an affectionate family and lots of cozy corners. Cordelia is working hard on potty training but is a very fast learner and knows some basic training cues. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and ready to be your new best friend! If you are ready to add this gorgeous girl to your family, please fill out the adoption application found on our website: www.savingsouthtexas.com/adoptables

Story
Sweet, Loving Dog Looking for a Forever Home It breaks my heart to say this, but due to new immigration policies, I have to leave the country and can no longer keep my beloved dog. I’m looking for a kind, responsible family who will love her as much as I do. She’s 1.5 years old, spayed, incredibly affectionate, calm, and playful. She gets along wonderfully with children and other dogs — she truly just wants to love and be loved. She enjoys cuddles and being part of the family. She’s also crate-trained and does very well when left alone at home. She knows basic commands like “sit” and “give paw,” and even though she is deaf, she’s extremely smart and quickly learns routines through visual cues. I will be giving her away with all of her belongings: her crate, a vacuum grooming brush, food bowls, and bathing supplies — everything she needs to feel at home. She is a very, very loving dog and deserves a home where she’ll be showered with affection and care.
