Hello! My name's Odette! I am a 1 year old Lab/Hound mix female that weighs 65 Lbs. I was roaming stray in late January when a kind neighbor took me in from the cold. Unfortunately, my family already had 3 other dogs in the home and 2 that frequently visit so they are ready had a full house when I was taken in. I got along well with all the other dogs in the home, cats and children too. Sadly, there were just too many pets in the home and therefore they decided to surrender me to the shelter in the hopes that I would find my fur-ever family. I am a very sweet and gentle girl! I walk on a leash pretty well and am learning basic commands. I am attentive and very interested in learning. I enjoy playing with other dogs! If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters are to date and heartworm negative. This distinguished gentleman is Jack! Jack is a 6 year old Shepherd/Lab mix that weighs around 60 Lbs. His owner's job is requiring months of travel at a time, and they have no one to care for Jack while they are gone. Sadly, they had to make the tough decision to surrender Jack to the shelter. Now Jack is on a new journey to find his fur-ever home. Jack is crate trained, and house broken. He is great with dogs, cats and children of all shapes and sizes. He isn't a fan of his nails being trimmed but otherwise, he is a very well behaved and sweet boy. LOOKING FOR LOVE & UNDERSTANDING. I was saved from euthanasia on the last day of my deadline. I had been picked up as a stray and labeled feral by the shelter. You see, I had never known kindness from humans, and I was terrified of EVERYTHING. I had NEVER received love, affection, or been part of a family. Fast forward to today: I am a 2-year old energetic guy who gets along well with dogs of all sizes, and I am looking for my own family! My foster family says that I have come a long way, but I will still need a family with a dog-sibling to help me continue to figure this all out. My foster family has integrated me into their family, but it is time for me to find my own furever home! I am kennel-trained and potty-trained and take treats ever so gently. I am learning to walk on a leash and appreciate the new sights and smells. I crave structure and am a creature of habit. My people will need to continue my acclimation into being a family pet with consistency and positive reinforcement while I continue to experience new things and events. I am still cautious with new people and have learned to observe from a distance until comfortable, and I'd appreciate patience as I navigate.
