Story
Born February 2020, Eclipse is a male Lab mix who was born blind with a purely cosmetic cleft palate. He has no issues eating, drinking or getting around. Eclipse is going to make some family a great companion - he loves people and especially kids. Eclipse's favorite things are snuggling up right beside his person and accepting some much wanted belly rubs! He's currently 45 lbs. and is still growing. He does best with dogs at least his size and kids over the age of 8. Cats are unknown. Eclipse is fully vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped. We know that very special person or family is out there for Eclipse because he has a whole lotta life to live! He may be special needs (trust us, he doesn't know it!), however like any other puppy he just wants to have fun and show unconditional love and devotion to his family. A securely fenced yard is a must. All dogs in adopters homes must be up to date on vaccinations and altered. Homes must have a 6ft secure fence and no children under 5. Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise. Applications can found at our website mikeyschance.com. Please note that adopters are not chosen on a first come, first served basis, but full consideration is given to the best fit for the dog AND the adopter. Applications can 2-4 weeks to process, application submission does not guarantee approval for adoption.

Story
Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kalea. I am a lab/Pitbull mix born in October of 2020. I love walks, car rides and ice cream cones. I have a bit of a Princess attitude and would like to avoid drama sharing a home with another female. Male dogs are great if they can keep up with my powerful play 😊 I am very affectionate and do a soft silly side. I do like to keep “what’s mine, mine” I am working on sharing nicely 😬 I am crate trained and housebroken and would love to be your forever friend. A secure 6 foot fence with adults or adults and kids over ref5 is preferred . If you are interested in fostering me, please send an email to mikeyschance@gmail.com with my name in the subject line: Kalea. I'm also available for ADOPTION and applications can be found at www.mikeyschance.com.

Story
Born 9/12/22, Ruger is a male Labrador Retriever mix who is described as a gentle giant who weighs approximately 84 lbs. but thinks he's a 10 lb. lap dog! He loves plushies and according to his foster mom, he has the most gentlemanly manners as a house guest, he never leaves the seat up and goes outside every time 😉 He is well socialized and loves other dogs, however, some dogs can be intimidated by his size. Cats are unknown. His preferred forever home will have a secure 6 foot fence and a family committed to training him so he can become the best dog he can be. Due to his size, we recommend if there are kids in the home, over the age of 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Four-year-old Hank is one FANTASTIC canine! He's wonderful with cats, other dogs, and strangers, too. He's fine with children but needs a home with older kids (10+). He's not quite sure what to make of toddlers, they make him a little nervous. He might look energetic..... but don't be fooled! He's more of the couch potato type. He knows several commands sit, stay, down, shake, and gentle! What's not to love about this guy?! Really nothing (ok, full disclosure... Hank is a snorer!). But hey, no one is perfect, two-legged or four. Just wait until you meet him!! Increasingly, we are doing FOSTER TO ADOPT options! That’s where you and puppers make sure you’re a good fit for one another before signing on “the dotted line”….. it’s a win-win for everyone! Just ask your adoption counselor about how this works. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in adopting this or another POPP dog? Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://www.popptricities.org/adopt/adoption-questionnaire-canine/ If you have any questions. please E-mail us at dogsadopt@popptricities.org. Story
Meet Maximus, a five year old Lab mix weighing around 60 pounds.Maximus` story is quite sad. Animal control was called to pick him up after his owners moved and the landlord called them. He was left tied up next to the house with no shelter and hardly any room to move The area around him was covered in feces and urine and so was he, we can`t imagine why someone would do that to him. When he came to us we immediately gave him a bath and noticed some sores, probably due to the filth he was forced to sit in. Maximus is a friendly goober with a good amount of energy. He likes treats but seems like no one really worked with him so he is still learning his mannered but responds well to correction. He deserves only the best home after what he has been through. This pet is available for adoption on 12/20/2024 at 4:59 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Did you know YHS lets local community members FOSTER TO ADOPT??
