Story
We're sure everyone says this about their pet, but this dog is really something special. Turner is one of our longer term residents here at NAS and we cannot wait for the day he finally gets to go home. Turner has so many traits that are going to make him an amazing member of the family. Here are some of Turner's highlights: - great leash manners- loves car rides - does zoomies when excited - loves playing ball (during said zoomies)- professional snuggler & couch potato Turner is an intelligent, affectionate, and goofy pup who truly steals the heart of anyone he meets. As you can tell from pictures, Turner has expressive ears with a mind of their own & soulful eyes that seem to tell a story of adventure and loyalty. Turner was originally found as an abandoned stray in Indiana and made the road trip up to Wisconsin for his fresh start. Turner is a great dog who is needing a specific home to thrive. Turner would do best as an only dog in a home with no small children. Want to see if this sweet pup is a good match for your family? Please apply to meet Turner! Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. -Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html) - Our shelter no longer has open visiting hours, so a pre-approved application and scheduled appointment is needed prior to meeting any of our animals

Don't let Hades' name or size fool you. Hades is the full package - he gets along well with both dogs and cats and he's fully potty trained! Hades is incredibly affectionate and loves everyone he meets. He sits patiently while you put on his harness and knows not to pull on walks. He's a great adventure companion and is eager to go on car rides. Hades also likes stomping in water and bobbing for balls in the shelter kiddie pool. He'll even show off by rolling around in the grass for you! He LOVES fetch, is smart with commands, and likes to "sploot" when lying down or sitting.

Come meet the handsomest Buck in the bunch!Buck is a beautiful 5-year-old black lab mix.Buck was transferred to FVHA from a partner shelter. He loves going for walks, exploring the great outdoors, and meeting new friends. Buck is affectionate and sweet, what's not to love? This cutie is extremely smart and has already began perfecting sit and down while here at the shelter. He would love to continue his learning journey and will benefit from continued training to be the best boy he can be! Buck can be shy with new people and we recommend any future adopters have knowledge of canine body language to know when he wants space. Buck is easy - going and quickly befriends anyone who takes him on a nice outdoor walk. He loves spending quality time with his favorite people and has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite. This handsome guy has done well in dog meets here at the shelter and enjoys a calm dog to co - exist with. Due to his unknown background, Buck would benefit from a slow introduction to household cats. Buck thrives best in an environment with older children or teens. Buck can be a little more shy with men but quickly warms up when offered yummy treats! He may require an extra slow introduction to any new male household members and asks that you give him patience! Buck is neutered, has received core vaccinations (Bordetella, Canine Distemper, Rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. Story
Hi, I'm Macie, and in case you didn't already guess, Gracie is my sister. I am a 1 year old lab mix, around 35lbs. We are both super sweet girls who do not have to be homed together but it sure would be nice too. I love the peoples and also all the other doggos. I am still very young so be ready for lots of energy and keep me busy and tired, a tired dog is a happy dog! I hope you love my sleek black glossy coat and my big brown eyes, I am hard not to fall in love with! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Hot Wheels SEEKS HIS FOREVER FAMILY who is committed to giving him nothing but happy days for the rest of his life. For a low adoption fee, you can bring home this $15,000 family member. A video of “Wheels” was shared showing him dragging his back end. The Right to Live Rescue took him into rescue. He was covered in fleas and had severe dragging wounds. He had back surgery with a 50/50 chance of success. Then, he had one of his broken back legs reset and plated. He started hydrotherapy and seemed to be doing well. Sadly, he developed a flesh-eating bacteria on his back legs causing one to be removed. He stayed at the Vet’s office for about 5-6 weeks while they worked to clear him of the infection and open another gaping wound in his remaining and plated rear leg. He has no idea he is different than the other dogs. He loves to go on walks in his wheelchair. He does zoomies around the yard and chases the others and even plays tug-of-war with a 112 pound lab/pittie/mutt foster brother. He loves to have his ears rubbed since he cannot scratch them himself. He loves to scoot through his splash pad on hot days and wade in his inflatable pool. He turns in circles like a top when he gets excited which is when he is getting fed or sees you come home. He can pee and poop on his own but he sometimes does that in his sleep or when he’s excited. He dribbles a bit. He has diapers and belly bands but they sometimes slide off because he does not have both legs. He is willing to travel with his wheelchair, his diapers, his belly bands, his toys, his elevated feeding stand and slow feed bowl (that does not really slow him down). Despite everything he’s been through, he is the happiest boy in the world. He would love to sit on a dog bed and chew a nylabone and watch to make sure you are looking at him. He has passed cats on the porch or street and not reacted to them. He may need a short introduction to any new fur siblings. He seems to know who he can pick on and who he needs to defer to. He will come with this cute gingerbread costume just in time for Christmas. https://www.facebook.com/reel/280549138140602 *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption.
