Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 34 lbs Age 5 months as of 3/18           Sweet Eva and her three sisters, Schatzi, Gretel and Freya, were left in the driveway at the Wags rescue in Mississippi, an all too common occurrence.      We are not sure of their mix, at first we thought they were German Shepherd mixes, thus the German names! But some seem to have black mouth cur in them, Shatzi  is all tan with a black muzzle, and sweet Eva looks like she has some heeler in her.     We do know that the puppies are a delight— they have been having a grand time playing together at the rescue and then snuggling in a big puppy pile to nap. All the girls have all been spayed and given their vaccines and are ready for loving homes. They are around 35 pounds, they were born in mid October. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
Lola is my name. I love all and want to be friends with everyone. I am mischievous and will get into trouble just for the attention. I am still very young and eager to explore new things. I want a loving family who will take me on adventures, then love on me while winding down. I don't like it when you focus on other dogs and sometimes I push them out of the way so I can be the center of attention! I have the sweetest face and my "love to be with you" attitude is the best kind to have! I am a medium sized girl and that makes me super PORTABLE! Take me with you to the beach, the mountains, the BATHROOM... I don't care where we go, as long as you take me with you!! I'm a energetic and driven girl with a strong prey drive, particularly chickens, birds, small animals and cats. I'll need a home without these types of pets to ensure everyone's safety. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
My name is Jason aka Noah, as in the father of all mankind:) I have been through alot in my life, I started out in a horrible hoarding situation with my sisters, brothers, uncles and mother. I knew in my heart of hearts that there is a much better world out there. And there is!! I was saved with about 88 dogs and pups, the ladies who drive out to save all of us are absolute saints.... So, back to my origin story, I had an unbelievable hernia out my back end that made my life hell...so the ladies git me to the rescue and 3 SURGERIES later, I am living a normal life 😀 I am a sweet boy, but having come from the situation i did, i am not a cuddle bug. I will hang out with you, just next to your chair. My life has come full circle and I am finally ready to find thst forever home who will love me until the end of time. I am waiting!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
FosterPenny is a sweet and gentle lady. She is a ten year old, 15 pound dachshund mix. She came to Charming Pet Rescue after her human passed away. She arrived at the rescue with her two sisters, one brother, and two cats. She was quickly picked up by one of our foster families with her brother, Jack. Penny is still mourning the loss of her owner. She is gentle but is still not comfortable enough to come to her foster family when called. However, when the family sits on the couch to watch TV, she quickly jumps up and likes to sit next to you and her brother, Jack. She does allow you to pet her and rub her ears once she is comfortable next to you. She will also come to you if you offer her a treat and will eat it out of your hand. Penny will need time for you to gain her trust but she is making progress every day. Penny is house trained and has gone outside, but due to the stress of a new environment, she has had a few accidents in the home, usually on the pee pads. Penny sleeps well in her crate and gets along well with her brother and the two other dogs in the foster house. Penny has a cataract in her right eye but she seems to deal with it in stride and has no problem doing doggie things. She received dental work this week and is fully vetted.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.March 12, 2025, 6:56 am
