Story
Navy Wigglebutt's Story -Written by Navy Wigglebutt, a 5-month-old, 40lb male Great Pyrenees/Husky mix. 📍 Pickup Location: Skiatook, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I have never had a home before. Kind of crazy right? I have been around for almost half a year and have never truly had a place to call my own. Heck, I didn't even have a name up until a few months ago. How is that even possible you ask? Well, I was part of yet another unwanted litter in Oklahoma. My owners didn't want me or my siblings and figured the best way to get rid of us, was to dump us somewhere. We ended up being picked up and entered the shelter program. We served our stray hold uneventfully and then they transferred us to PPFT. We ended up landing in a pretty awesome foster home, so that is really nice. It just doesn't give that same feeling though that a forever home would. Can you imagine the feeling of security that comes with having a family? The feeling that they will be as loyal to you as you are to them? That they will love you forever and ever, no matter what? That you will always have a place by their side through thick and thin? At least, that is what I have heard that a forever family should be. I have yet to experience it but I sure hope my new family will be all that and more! Now, I am sure you are curious about my name...and if you didn't catch it above...my name is Navy Wigglebutt. I am part of the "Bean" litter and we thought adding Wigglebutt to the end of it would be quite fun. Plus, it is very true. I am quite the little wigglebutt. I love making new friends. It doesn't matter if they are kids, cats, or other dogs. I am a social butterfly through and through and always make the best impressions....or so I am told! I am eager to please and I just know that with some more guidance and training...you will soon have a pup on your hands that even your grandma will be doting over! Trust me, I just know that given the chance...I am going to steal the hearts of everyone I meet! It also helps that I have an amazing personality. I don't mean to toot my own horn or anything, but I am a pretty awesome pup. I will always be up for joining you on your adventures. Walks? Absolutely, as long as you don't mind continuing Count me in! I think it would be so cool to explore new places and scents. Public Places? Ummm...when can we start? What could be better than a walk and getting to make new friends all wrapped into one fun trip?! And if you prefer using the car to get you somewhere, no worries! I may not be big enough to get in on my own yet, but I am working on it...trust me! And once in, I will happily plop down in the backseat and just chill until it is time to get up and go again! This is probably the time to mention that while all the above would be awesome, it is not a necessity for me. I would be perfectly content living a more laid-back lifestyle at the house if my family had a big yard for me to romp around and play in. The real icing on the cake would be if they had other dogs and/or kids for me to play with! Heck, I can already imagine my family and I on a hot summer day, in the yard with the kids playing in the hose water and me joining in and running around with them in the water just having an amazing and wholesome time together. I really love to have fun and can easily keep up with my family, but I am also really good about chilling out and just hanging out with my people inside. I just know I would make an amazing homework buddy, a wonderful and cuddly friend to snuggle up to each night, and someone you can sneak your broccoli to under the table. Well, I haven't actually had broccoli yet but it can't be THAT bad right?! If I were to take a gander, I would think that you are really drawn to me at this point....as you should be(and I mean that in the least egotistical way possible). I am sure the biggest thing going around in your head right now is...how big will I be full grown? Well, I would love to answer that for you...but I just don't know. I know I know...you want me to give my best guess....it doesn't have to be exact but at least a ballpark range. That kinda sucks considering I am not even into fetch, I mean what good are balls if you always have to chase after them?! Back on track though, if I were to guess I think that I am going to be around 80lbs once fully grown. So, if that ends up being the case...there are a few things you should know. First, personal space will no longer be a thing. I won't allow it to be. If I want cuddles, you can bet I am going to still claim that spot in your lap. We can call it extreme cuddling...if you will! Second, I will soon realize that my body has become the prime blocking tool in getting you to stop mid-walk and give me some ear rubs before having to finagle(am I spelling this right...this is such a weird word but it sure is fun to say) your way around me. Lastly, a fur-free home will be a thing of the past. No longer will you have to worry about bare floors or plain clothes. You will soon have a house full of my glorious fur letting you know that my big ole fluffy self is always there for you! Apartment dwellers, how I would love to say we are a good match but alas I am looking for a home where I can stretch my legs, overlook my yard, and just get to enjoy the great outdoors. For my house dwellers...you are in for a treat! I am already potty trained... can we just take a minute to appreciate that you will be adopting a PUPPY that is already potty trained? Now, that doesn't mean you can go crazy and not let me out for like 6-8hrs +, I am good but I am not THAT good. ;) I am also kennel trained so while I believe I can soon earn my free-roam the house badge when you are gone, you can trust that I will be okay in my kennel until that time comes. Let's just not overdo it though okay? For those that have a doggie door, I am a pro at using one so no training is necessary on that front! Well..this is it folks. The moment I have been waiting for...are you going to be my forever? Are you going to make me yours and fill out an application for me at https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 *Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes* Once your application comes on, PPFT will send over more details about me and forward your app to my foster family for review. If everything still sounds like a match, PPFT will finish getting you all approved so you can meet and welcome me home!

Story
Chickadee's Story -Written by Chickadee, a 14-week-old, 20lb female Great Pyrenees mix from our Tweeting Tails Litter. 📍 Pickup Location: Skiatook, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey there, it’s Chickadee, and I want to share a bit of my journey with you. It’s been a tough road, but it’s also made me the hopeful, loving pup I am today. You see, I came from a home where there were just too many of us—ten puppies in total. Our owners couldn’t find us all homes and couldn’t afford to feed us properly. It was a struggle just to get enough food each day, and unfortunately, one of my siblings didn’t make it. He passed away the day before we were scheduled to come to PPFT, likely because he couldn’t get enough to eat and kept getting pushed out of the way during mealtime. When we arrived at PPFT, we were in pretty rough shape. Dehydrated, full of parasites, and much too skinny. We were all quite sick and didn’t know what the future held. But thanks to the amazing care we received, we bounced back to being healthy and happy puppies. We’ve been given a second chance, and now it’s time to start the search for my forever home. So here I am, excited and hopeful, looking for a forever family where I can bring joy, laughter, and endless tail-wagging happiness. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s been through a lot and is ready to shower you with love, then look no further—I’m your girl, and I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Meet Tag, the furry bundle of joy who’s ready to tag along on your next adventure! This 3-month-old, 30-pound male Great Pyrenees mix is the perfect blend of fluff and fun. With his low to medium energy level, Tag enjoys a good play session but is just as happy to chill by your side. He's the kind of dog who believes in work-life balance—well, mostly the life part. Fetch? Oh, Tag thinks that’s a fancy way of saying "watch me run after this thing and then look at you like, ‘Why did you throw it away?’" His real passion lies in his extensive toy collection. Tag loves diving into his toy box like it’s a treasure chest, emerging triumphantly with a squeaky toy or a plushie, ready to parade around like he’s conquered the world. And when it comes to water, Tag’s not aiming for the doggy paddle Olympics anytime soon. But give him a water bowl, and he’s the life of the splash party, creating his own mini water park right in your kitchen. Tag was found abandoned on a back road, alone and in need of a hero. Luckily, a kind lady discovered him and couldn’t bear to leave him behind. Though she couldn’t add another dog to her family at the time, she made sure Tag was safe and sound, leading him to us where he’s been charming everyone he meets. As for what to expect when you bring Tag home, brace yourself for some extra giggles and a whole lot of fluff! This little guy is projected to grow into a gentle giant, and by gentle giant, we mean around 60lbs. So, for those who are used to giant Pyrabears...he will seem pint-sized. For those who are more familiar with the tiny purse dogs...he will seem huge! ;) So if you’ve ever dreamed of having a canine couch companion that doubles as a furry footrest, Tag is your pup. And speaking of fluff, Tag will shed enough fur to stuff a mattress, so get ready for daily sweeping and the occasional “fur tumbleweed” rolling through your living room. Trust me when I say it is all part of his charm though! Because one look into his gorgeous eyes that somehow have better eyeliner than I could ever hope to achieve....you will wonder how you ever lived without this lovable goober...fur and all! When it comes to meeting new people, he's a cautious optimist—sniffing out the situation before deciding whether to unleash the tail-wagging charm offensive or maintain a dignified distance, as if he's attending a fancy canine soirée. As for his doggy pals, Tag's a social butterfly with a keen sense of etiquette. He's like the fur-coated ambassador at the dog park, always ready to play but quick to pick up on the subtle cues that say, "Hey, buddy, maybe take a breather." And does Tag need another dog buddy in his new home? Not if he can have his humans as his personal entourage. Who needs a canine companion when there are laps to cuddle on and toys to conquer? Now, let's talk cats. Tag initially saw them as his feline playmates, but after a few lessons in "cat-ology," he's learned to approach them with a mix of curiosity and cautious respect, like a fluffy diplomat navigating the delicate balance of interspecies relations. And kids? Tag's ready to be the life of the party! With his goofy charm and wagging tail, he's gearing up to become the household entertainer, providing endless laughs and maybe a few unexpected surprises along the way. Tag might be a little guy, but he's got big dreams of car rides! He's not quite a pro at hopping in on his own yet, so a helping hand is always appreciated. Once he's settled in the car, though, it's like he transforms into a tiny explorer, gazing out the window and eventually finding the perfect spot to curl up and relax. Now, when it comes to Tag's ideal lifestyle, he's definitely leaning towards the active side. Picture him with a little doggy backpack, ready to hit the road and explore new places with his new family. While he's still getting used to the idea, there's no doubt that Tag would thrive with a bit of adventure in his life. Leash training? Tag's got the basics down, but he's not exactly walking in perfect "heel" formation yet. He's more of a "let's sniff everything and see where the day takes us" kind of pup, which honestly adds to the fun of it all! As for hiking, Tag's enthusiasm is through the roof, but his tiny legs and young age mean he's not quite ready for those long, challenging hikes, especially in the heat. But hey, give him some time to grow, and he'll be conquering mountains(or somewhat large hills) in no time. Now apartment dwellers...you made it this far and we know you anxiously have your fingers crossed that he may be a good match......and the answer to your question of "Could Tag thrive in an apartment?" Absolutely, especially if he gets his daily dose of exercise and playtime. He's a versatile pup who's happy as long as he's with his humans, whether it's in a spacious yard or a cozy apartment. Potty training is a work in progress for Tag, but he's putting in the effort. Picture him with a tiny clipboard, jotting down his progress like a dedicated student in "Potty Training 101." He's getting better every day, one bathroom break at a time. Now, kennel training? Tag's like, "Thanks, but no thanks. I prefer the open floor plan, where I can stretch my legs and be close to my humans." Who can blame him? Life's too short for confined spaces! Chewing on things other than toys? Not on Tag's agenda. He's a good boy who sticks to his designated chew toys, leaving your shoes and furniture unscathed....now it is probably important to mention that his foster doesn't have shoes or magazines...or TV remotes just lying around...so it might be wise to help Tag out and ensure everything is puppy proofed. ;) As for free roam of the house, Tag's getting there. He still has the occasional potty accident, but with patience and consistent training, he'll soon be ready to explore every nook and cranny of his new home without any mishaps. Until then, he would do best confined to only certain parts of the house when you are gone...be sure to include ALLLLLL the toys...because he will want to make sure they all get some attention! ;) With his goofy charm, toy-loving antics, and heart-melting puppy eyes, Tag is more than just a pet—he's a furry best friend in the making. So, why wait? Come meet Tag and discover the joy of adopting a playful, lovable, and oh-so-adorable pup who's just waiting for his forever home. Make memories, share adventures, and wag your way through life together with Tag by your side! We promise you won't regret it!
