Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Trouble! Trouble is a delightful male Lhasa mix born around April 1, 2016, who was found in Spring Branch. Despite having a microchip, his previous owner chose not to reclaim him, which has truly been their loss. Trouble is an incredibly friendly senior dog who gets along with everyone and loves to play. Though he has an old injury to his eye, it doesn’t dampen his spirit. Trouble is very lovable and enjoys offering his belly for rubs, making him a favorite among the rescue team. His name might suggest otherwise, but Trouble is nothing but a joy and a testament to the saying that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Weighing 19.2 pounds, Trouble is potty trained and walks well on a leash. He is fully vetted and has received a ProHeart 6 vaccine, offering heartworm prevention until February 22, 2025. His adoption fee is $300. If you’re looking for a sweet and loving companion who’s ready to bring joy into your life, Trouble is your perfect match. Apply to adopt him today at www.adoggie4you.org and give Trouble the loving home he deserves. Welcome Trouble into your life and enjoy his affectionate and playful nature! This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Tyler. I came to the ranch from the valley, where I was scheduled for euthanasia in 2013. My first parents had a young child that hit me with sticks, kicked me and hurt me. One day I decided to fight back, and I bit the child, so I ended up in the slammer. I was barely a year old, so my foster mom decided to give me a chance. My foster mom loved me. She let me sleep with her, she treated me good and let me play with toys and go for walks with her. It took me about a week to trust her, but I loved her lots.  Unfortunately I had to come back to the kennels when she couldn’t foster anymore.  My kennel mates are good friends.  We play and love each other.  But I really would like to have a real family before I go to the rainbow bridge.  I have been at the rescue since 2011, they love me, but it’s not the same.  I know it’s partly my fault.  I used to bite new people.  Hey, but the good news is I only have 4 teeth, so I can only gum you.  I have been living with Pat since I lost my teethys.  She says I am too old to be in the kennels.  For the most part this is great, but I have to share her with lots of other babies.  Mommy says she is going to find me a special forever home that will be patient and give me the time I need to get to know you. Are you the special family mommy told me about?  I have been waiting for 11 years to find my special family, but mom tells me not to worry.  Someday I will get my wish.   To adopt this dog, please fill out an application at www.adoggie4you.org.  He was born around 2/5/2013 and weighs 21 pounds.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 6:46 pm

Story
Meet Matty! He walks/struts well on leash, rides well in the car, and loves being outdoors. He spends virtually all day on or near his temporary Foster mom's lap and follows her wherever she goes like he's attached by an invisible cord. He likes cheese and carrots and enjoys gazing out the window and giving wildlife a piece of his mind when they dare invade his kingdom. His history before rescue - when he was surrendered as a stray - is unknown but he does need some TLC and training. He gets along with some dogs but can be barky towards ones he doesn't like. Matty is a bit jumpy with sudden or quick movements in his peripheral though he may relax and feel more at ease once he's acclimated to his fur-ever home. He's also been resource guarding his temporary Foster human against the resident Golden Retriever. He doesn't seem to guard food or toys, just humans. He'd probably do best in a home with someone who has experience with fearful dogs and where he's the only pet so he doesn't have to share his human. He has lots of love to give and is on the lookout for someone to provide him a stable home and patiently guide him to become the happy, secure, and confident pup we know he can be. You can apply now to foster or adopt when ready! -------------------------------------------- If you are interested in finding out more about Matty - please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://bit.ly/2JnZqK5 Matty is being fostered in Worcester County, MA. The adoption fee is $450. Please ask us about this if this is a hardship. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
