Story
This cutie is Carter. Carter is a young adult Lhasa apso mix male. He is absolutely adorable, but he can definitely be spicy at times. It takes some time and patience to earn his trust, but it will surely be worth it for the right adopter.Carter is crate trained, knows the sit command, and walks nicely on a leash. He sometimes doesn’t want to be handled ,so grooming can be a challenge. He’s made great progress in his foster home, but it has taken time and patience. He is looking for an adopter who is willing and able to help him continue learning how to be his best self. He gets along great with other small dogs. He needs to go to a home without children. If interested in adopting this absolutely adorable, but somewhat challenging sweetheart, please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.
