Maine Coon kittens & cats in Larkspur, California

Yoshi and Pharell are a special pair of dignified cats with gentle, sweet natures that came to us as brothers from another mother. They were quite confused at first, as they had been left at the shelter after their person moved out of state. They were quick to open up and trust new people but it seemed clear that they needed a lot of extra TLC to get them in their full glory. Big "brother" Pharell is a gorgeous senior Maine Coon cat that appears to have the longest torso we've ever seen in a kitty. He's definitely got that magical woodland creature element to him, with his fluffy mane and tall pointed ears and deep set eyes. Despite his huge stature, he still manages to fit in the kitty napping nooks and is content to lounge about waiting for his next meal, or a chat and pet session with any nice person that visits with him. He is mellow over all, until you have to try and check his ear or put him in a crate, and at that point, he can be fast and nimble and you realize his enormity. In other words, a typical cat with double the stubborn strength.Handsome "little brother" Yoshi, has been a diamond in the rough, letting his older brother take the lime light and slowly settling in and revealing his personality, opening up a little more every day. He's generally a quiet kitty, but at least once a day randomly, you'll hear him talking to himself with high pitched baby meows. He is still a young teenager after all, and might even have a little more growing to do. When we first met him, he was attached to Pharell and it's evident that they're bonded and should stay together. He would love to take his time getting to know his new family and opening up on his own timeline, with Pharell right by his side.With these two as a pair, you will definitely need to have a few grooming brushes at the ready and lots of lap surface area. These boys would love bonding grooming sessions, as they do crave loving attention. They have gotten used to a double charm offensive strategy when they greet people. Available to set a meeting up at the foster home. He does not like cages, so will not be at an event. He is a sweet cat who loves attention and just hang out. He has been around other cats and small dogs. But he loves his foster home where he is the only pet there and absorbing up all the attention himself.

Dobby is a friendly and curious 10 year old Maine Coon mix (genetic testing says he's 50% Maine Coon and 50% domestic shorthair). He does great with other cats and very tolerant of young children. We are expecting a baby and as a result have many family members staying with us. We are having to rehome him to due to aggression towards a single adult family member who is staying with us long term. He is fully potty trained, up to date with his shots and in good health. He has had no health issues since we adopted him as a kitten. He is however a bit overweight according to the vet. He loves to sit on people's laps and will follow his owners around the house. He is a sweet boy and I'm hoping to find him an experienced owner who can give him the home he deserves. As stated above, he would do well in a home that doesn't have a lot of people coming and going.

I got Bonsai at 6 weeks old. He was born June 16th 2022. He is very smart, and very cuddly and he is indoor/outdoor. He loves his liquid treats, he will sit for you and give you paw. He is my little shadow, loves to spend time with people. He does not get along with other pets. He has in the past, but due to us moving around a lot, and having a bad experience with a dog and a bear, yes a bear, he is on high alert with other animals. He has been great with kids in the past, however he does not like his belly to be rubbed the wrong way. He never bites or scratches for no reason. He is part Maine coon so he is really big. His fur needs to be maintained/brushed. I’d love for him to be adopted by someone with a backyard and no other pets.

Looking to rehome my cat Bonsai. He is 2.5yrs, I raised him from a kitten. Sadly, I cannot keep him as he does not get along with other animals anymore. He is a sweet, intuitive (he has comforted me every time I cry) boy when he isn’t around other pets. Part Maine Coon, he loves to be social and just hang out. I don’t recommend little kids as he does not like his belly rubbed the wrong way and definitely not other pets. I would love to find him a good home, where he can be indoor/outdoor. He thrives outside. He’s neutered and has all of his shots. He loves to catch mice, and cuddle at night. He loves his liquid treats, he’ll sit and give you paw. He isn’t skiddish he loves to meet new people! I can’t keep him because I’m moving in with a family member who has a young son and two pets. He needs a loving indoor/outdoor home!

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Chinchilla (Chin Chin) and Shadow are a sweet bonded pair of lovely kitties that were rescued together from a large cat colony. They appear to be Maine Coon-mix cats.  Shadow is probably Chin Chin's mother.  They both have amazingly loud purrs!   Chin Chin and Shadow’s rescuer, Sara, provided us with this description of the girls: “Chin Chin is gray and white and was born in approximately May 2016.  She's a bit flighty and will run away at first, even from me, but comes back as soon as I start petting or brushing another cat.  She returns even faster when I'm dispensing treats.  She is very playful and chases balls and other toys around the room.  She even has a regular morning romp with another cat from the colony. Shadow was born in approximately May 2014.  She's very small for a Maine Coon mix (about 6 pounds) and has gorgeous all-black fur.  She loves to be brushed and petted and often meows loudly.  Her fur is curly, so regular brushing is needed to keep mats from forming.  She's even gotten used to stand-up brushing of her belly and will jump onto the cat condo so I can reach her more easily.  Once there, we sometimes touch noses.  She's the sweetest girl.  She's very docile and calm once she gets familiar with you and the household.  She doesn't even run when I vacuum.  She's also very good about eating oral flea medication with tuna or sardines. Both girls are going to be shy at first with new people but with patience and gentle talking, treats and eventually brushing, they'll come around. Both of them have purrs that practically shake the house.  I can hear Chin Chin purring from another room, and she'll start even before I touch her.  Shadow starts drooling when she's purring.  It's so cute! There's no way of knowing for sure, but I believe they are mother and daughter.  They are definitely a bonded pair.   Both are in good health.  I give Shadow daily hairball gel and Chin Chin a powdered probiotic in her food.  They are good about using the litter box and grooming themselves.  Chin Chin and Shadow have both been spayed and will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.  They are good with other cats.  They might be okay with older, respectful children, or with a very calm and cat-friendly dog." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Chin Chin & Shadow are living in a private foster home with their rescuer Sara in Hercules, California.
