Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Chinchilla (Chin Chin) and Shadow are a sweet bonded pair of lovely kitties that were rescued together from a large cat colony. They appear to be Maine Coon-mix cats.  Shadow is probably Chin Chin's mother.  They both have amazingly loud purrs!   Chin Chin and Shadow’s rescuer, Sara, provided us with this description of the girls: “Chin Chin is gray and white and was born in approximately May 2016.  She's a bit flighty and will run away at first, even from me, but comes back as soon as I start petting or brushing another cat.  She returns even faster when I'm dispensing treats.  She is very playful and chases balls and other toys around the room.  She even has a regular morning romp with another cat from the colony. Shadow was born in approximately May 2014.  She's very small for a Maine Coon mix (about 6 pounds) and has gorgeous all-black fur.  She loves to be brushed and petted and often meows loudly.  Her fur is curly, so regular brushing is needed to keep mats from forming.  She's even gotten used to stand-up brushing of her belly and will jump onto the cat condo so I can reach her more easily.  Once there, we sometimes touch noses.  She's the sweetest girl.  She's very docile and calm once she gets familiar with you and the household.  She doesn't even run when I vacuum.  She's also very good about eating oral flea medication with tuna or sardines. Both girls are going to be shy at first with new people but with patience and gentle talking, treats and eventually brushing, they'll come around. Both of them have purrs that practically shake the house.  I can hear Chin Chin purring from another room, and she'll start even before I touch her.  Shadow starts drooling when she's purring.  It's so cute! There's no way of knowing for sure, but I believe they are mother and daughter.  They are definitely a bonded pair.   Both are in good health.  I give Shadow daily hairball gel and Chin Chin a powdered probiotic in her food.  They are good about using the litter box and grooming themselves.  Chin Chin and Shadow have both been spayed and will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.  They are good with other cats.  They might be okay with older, respectful children, or with a very calm and cat-friendly dog." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Chin Chin & Shadow are living in a private foster home with their rescuer Sara in Hercules, California. If you would like more information, please contact Sara at s_garetz@yahoo.com. Please Note: These cats have not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cats’ status with their rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.August 13, 2024, 7:22 pm

Story
Loki has been with me for five years and although I love his zest for life and talkative spirit he is overly playful with my other cat who was the runt of the litter (she is no match for him). This spirited and affectionate boy loves engaging with his environment and would flourish in a setting that offers space to explore outside. At five years old, he is in excellent health, fully vaccinated, and up-to-date on all his shots. I can see him being a great barn cat, as he would be an excellent mouse hunter as well as a wonderful human companion. Not sure if he would mix with other indoor cats... guessing probably not... but outdoor may be a different situation.

Story
Meet Jerry, a gorgeous 3-year-old male Maine Coon mix!  Jerry has some of the typical Maine Coon traits such as large paws, a big ruff (mane), fluffy tail and long whiskers.  He is mostly orange with some white down his chest and on his paws.  Jerry loves attention and being petted. Jerry was born on approximately May 1, 2020.  He has been neutered, and will be microchipped and up to date on his shots prior to adoption.  He would be okay in a home with other non-aggressive cats, but no dogs or children, please. For more information about fostering or adopting Jerry, please contact Deborah at 510-909-4961 (text preferred) or at angusnfriends@outlook.com. August 19, 2024, 2:08 am

Please contact Lori (whisker2love@gmail.com), (209) 996-8870 for more information about this pet.Meet Charlotte. She is a gorgeous Maine Coon  kitten with long, fluffy fur and big round eyes. She is about 6 months.  She is sweet, but it would take a bit to know that she's safe and that you're her friend. She must be adopted with one of her buddies in her foster home, Garfield or Charlene, and can not be adopted alone.  She is great with other cats and smaller, respectful dogs.  Garfield is a long-haired orange kitten, and Charlene is a long-haired tortie. See photos of the kittens in a baby stroller.  Please contact Lori at whisker2love@gmail.com or 209-996-8870Click here to watch a video of Charlotte.August 19, 2024, 9:49 pm

Story
Oliver is an adventurous, playful, cuddly Maine Coon mix kitten looking for a forever family to have fun with. He is a handsome brown tabby born February 20th, and he is going to be a big boy, as he's already over 8lbs at 6 months old! Ollie loves toys with feathers and wands, playing chase, wrestling and snuggling in bed, but most of all he loves his sister Leah. He is devoted to her, looking for her or calling to her when she's out of sight. Leah loves him back, and these adorable siblings enjoy snuggling, grooming, wrestling and playing chase with each other. We are only considering families willing to welcome both these dynamic kittens into their family. Ollie and Leah came to us from the Central Valley, after kind neighbors took in their abandoned mom. The kittens were quite a surprise, but they were lovingly cared for, and now they are hoping to find the same love with their forever family. Ollie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and will be getting microchipped at his upcoming vet appointment. Could you be the purrfect match these two have been waiting for?
