Story
Chester was abandoned in our gated community. We took him in during the winter months. He gets along great with people but does not get along with our older cat that we have had for the past 10 years. He is very social, sweat, cute, house trained, healthy, will walk on a leash & just needs a good loving home. According to the vet he is around 4 years old, healthy & already fixed. He is up to date with his shots. He is 16 pounds & looks to be mostly main coon with a mix of long hair breed. If interested please reach out asap! Thank you! 😺❤️🏠 p.s. Chester comes with a new litter box, his favorite blanket & a small kennel if needed! 🙂

Story
Please contact Marilyn (marileealong@comcast.net), (925) 788-4397 for more information about this pet. Foster or adopt Coco! Born in May 2011, Coco is a sweet 13-year-old senior girl who once again finds herself without a guardian. Last May, her guardian suddenly passed away, leaving her with nowhere to go. A hero CC4C volunteer took her in and lovingly cared for her until she recently passed away. Now Coco needs a fresh start with a new family so that she can live out her golden years in a loving environment. Let’s give Coco the forever home she deserves! Coco is a gentle and affectionate companion who enjoys quiet, cozy spots and loves to cuddle. She has a beautiful, soft coat that she enjoys being brushed. We think she is a Maine Coon mix. She can be shy at first, but once she feels comfortable she will spend plenty of time in your lap. Coco would thrive in a calm environment where she feels safe and loved. She has not been around other cats. Can you help Coco find her new family? She is in urgent need of a foster or adopter; foster to adopt is also an option. If you are interested in meeting Coco, please contact Nisha at nkchauhan@gmail.com and Marilyn at marileealong@comcast.net. Coco is located in Contra Costa County, CA. February 12, 2025, 5:49 pm

Story
Our family adopted Dr. Charles when he was a kitten. He was our first family cat and was named by our kids :) When he grew out of the kitten stage, we quickly realized that one of our kids was very allergic to him. We tried every allergy medicine out there but nothing worked, so Dr. Charles became an outdoor cat. Charles is a maine coon mix, on the smaller side. He is about 6 years old now and we just think he would have a better life if he got to live with someone where he could spend his time indoors. He is SUPER friendly and affectionate but very low maintenance. He loves being pet and hanging out near people and is also fine hanging out on his own. He is litter box trained and is used to using a scratching board. He also isn't afraid of much. He is fine with dogs, cats, and has even made friends with some wild critters, haha. We really hope we can find him a home where he gets the love and attention he deserves. He is such a good cat.

Adoption Fees $200 for kittens up to one year $160 for cats over one year All cats have been: -  Spayed/neutered -  FVRCP vaccinated -  FeLV tested (FeLV/FIV for adults) -  Dewormed -  Flea treated -  Microchipped "Maine Coon Mix" Mike is a self-confident, outgoing and super friendly fellow. He loves to flop and snuggle with his human and is a sucker for belly rubs, treats and especially cat nip. Mike loves to chirp and chatter while he bats around his toys with his big snow paws and wags his fluffy tail like a puppy. Mike has so much love to give and is an absolute dream for anyone looking for a smart and loyal companion to spoil. "When Mike isn't playing fetch or chasing his toys, he loves to curl up and cuddle with his humans to watch TV". "Mike was rescued from living outdoors and like many Community Cats, he tested positive for FIV. Because of Mike's status, he needs to be an only cat or live in a home with other positive cats. It's important to note that FIV is not transmissible to humans, does not require any special treatment, creates no added costs and, most importantly, it does not impact a cat's ability to live a long and happy life with their humans."    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adoptions Events on Saturdays:   Petco in Vacaville, 210 Nut Tree Pkwy from 11am-2pm Petco in Fairfield, 1320 Gateway Blvd, from 2- 5pm Because all of our cats are in foster homes, not all cats come to adoptions every weekend. Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Chinchilla (Chin Chin) and Shadow are a sweet bonded pair of lovely kitties that were rescued together from a large cat colony. They appear to be Maine Coon-mix cats.  Shadow is probably Chin Chin's mother.  They both have amazingly loud purrs!   Chin Chin and Shadow’s rescuer, Sara, provided us with this description of the girls: “Chin Chin is gray and white and was born in approximately May 2016.  She's a bit flighty and will run away at first, even from me, but comes back as soon as I start petting or brushing another cat.  She returns even faster when I'm dispensing treats.  She is very playful and chases balls and other toys around the room.  She even has a regular morning romp with another cat from the colony.  She loves to be brushed and sleeps on my bed at night. Shadow was born in approximately May 2014.  She's very small for a Maine Coon mix (about 6 pounds) and has gorgeous all-black fur.  She loves to be brushed and petted and often meows loudly.  Her fur is curly, so regular brushing is needed to keep mats from forming.  She's even gotten used to stand-up brushing of her belly and will jump onto the cat condo so I can reach her more easily.  Once there, we sometimes touch noses.  She's the sweetest girl.  She's very docile and calm once she gets familiar with you and the household.  She doesn't even run when I vacuum.  She's also very good about eating oral flea medication with tuna or sardines. Both girls are going to be shy at first with new people but with patience and gentle talking, treats and eventually brushing, they'll come around. Both of them have purrs that practically shake the house.  I can hear Chin Chin purring from another room, and she'll start even before I touch her.  Shadow starts drooling when she's purring.  It's so cute! There's no way of knowing for sure, but I believe they are mother and daughter.  They are definitely a bonded pair and need to be adopted together.   Both are in good health.  I give Shadow daily hairball gel and Chin Chin a powdered probiotic in her food.  They are good about using the litter box and grooming themselves.  Chin Chin and Shadow have both been spayed and will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.  They are good with other cats.  They might be okay with older, respectful children, or with a very calm and cat-friendly dog." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Chin Chin & Shadow are living in a private foster home with their rescuer Sara in Hercules, California. If you would like more information, please contact Sara at s_garetz@yahoo.com. Please Note: These cats have not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cats’ status with their rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.February 8, 2025, 2:15 pm

Carat is an absolute dream. He is a sweetheart. He loves to play and then will come and check in for some lap time. He loves to play and he plays hard. Story
We rescued Charlie 8 years ago when she was just a couple months old. She was available for adoption with her siblings, but after falling asleep in our arms during one of our visits we knew she was the one and have loved her since. She grew up with our oldest and has been with us since. She’s very talkative, playful, and affectionate. At this time our circumstances have changed and we are not able to give her the attention she needs and we’d love to see her go to a family that can give her just then. She’s a cat that wants to be in the mix when she’s not sunbathing on the window sill.
