Applications & FAQ about our adoption process can be found on our website. Blanche is a low key, quiet little girl. Until now, she has spent her time raising puppies for other families. Now, she has the chance to find her family & to be loved for the rest of her life. She has had very little human interaction, so humans are unfamiliar to her. She is very brave, and will smell your hand & take treats from you. She just needs some time to get used to movement & home noises. She will do best learning from other 4-legged siblings so we would like to see her find a home with some friends of similar size & energy level. She follows her foster siblings around, like in & out the door for potties. Going from room to room & different activities. Blanche is not yet ready to be a lap dog, and she isn't a dog that you can just pick up. She will need time to establish trust & relationships with her family. She is still not accepting of the harness and leash. Therefore, for her safety, a secure physically enclosed area is a must. She isn't an outdoor adventure dog; she doesn't need a yard that she can run around in. But she does need a very secure area to do her potty business. Never EVER should she be left in the yard alone. If you are looking for a quiet friend, Blanche would love to hang out with you! We hope to find her a human friend that is interested in spending the day with Blanche watching & observing the wonderful world around her. She is a dog that is finally getting her chance to lounge around & be a dog!

Hi, my name is Uric. I am a very laid-back 6 year old Maltese/poodle mix. I’m looking for someone that wants to love on me and help me to feel secure. I would do well in an apartment or a home. If there are kids, I need them to be older, and respectful of me, as I am such a little guy (only 5 lbs). I’m doing pretty well with my potty training. I go potty outside, when asked to. But I’m not so good at running up to someone and reminding them. I’m not a fan of a crate at night…I really love sleeping in the big bed with foster mom. But my very favorite thing to do is follow foster mom around and snuggle up with her, wherever she goes! I would make a wonderful addition to any kind of family. I am up to date on all my vaccinations, had a negative heartworm test and am on monthly preventative. I’m also neutered, had a dental, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $350.00. Meet Annie, an 8-year-old sweetheart with a playful personality. Annie came to us after her elderly owner was displaced by Hurricane Beryl and had to make the difficult decision to give her up. Despite her age and needing to shed a few pounds, Annie’s zest for life remains undiminished. Annie weighs about 20 pounds right now, but would be happier and healthier around 12-14 pounds. While her vision and hearing aren’t as sharp as they once were, it doesn’t slow her down one bit.Annie adores attention and will stand on her hind legs for pets and treats. She loves to snuggle and will happily fall asleep in your arms while being petted. She’s house trained, uses a doggie door, and sleeps quietly in her kennel through the night. Annie does need regular grooming to keep her coat in tip top shape.Annie gets along well with other dogs, though she can be a bit intimidated by larger ones. She’s great with all people and always has a happy demeanor. He came to us from a back yard breeder where he was living outside in a kennel with several other dogs. Ant tested positive for heartworms and is currently going through his treatment. He will be ready for adoption towards the end of September. We would like to have a home ready for him by then. Ant has been good with the other dogs, volunteers and children. We are unsure about cats (he is only 8lbs though). Ant is doing very well with his potty training too. Please help us find a home for him when he is ready (towards the end of September). Milo loves to cuddle and is extremely loving. He is the definition of a lap dog. He is playful, but doesn't like a busy house or to be left alone more than 6-8 hours. He is potty trained and will go on a pad if left alone for more than 7 hours. He eats 1/2 cup or less of dry dog food (Blue Buffalo Small Breed) twice a day (he only weights 8lbs). A 15lb bag can last approximately 3 months.

Applications can be found on our website at gateway4paws.org Bosc is a sweet boy who has been looking for his very own family for over a year but no one has been interested in him. He loves to be held & snuggles when it is storming outside. He is a timid boy and would prefer to just come to you when he wants to. His family should be prepared to give him plenty of time to get used to being around hands, humans, & home activity. Bosc will not walk or do potty business while on a harness and leash. Therefore, he must have a secure physically fenced yard. In time, his family can work on leash training, but he isn't ready for that right now. Bosc enjoys the company of his foster brothers and sisters. He looks to them for guidance so this will be a requirement for Bosc. They also need to be of similar size to Bosc or smaller. Bosc has shown measurable improvement in potty training. While in the house, his mom uses a belly band for him. This allows her the opportunity to correct his behavior without the panic of getting the furniture or carpet soiled. He is doing well, but again, his training needs time, praise, & consistency. Bosc will be the perfect companion to just hang out at home relaxing. Please apply if you are prepared to dedicate time & love to giving Bosc the family he has always deserved.
