Story
Meet Lilly! Lilly is a 4-month-old, 5lb, Maltese Pomeranian mix who loves to be cuddled up in your lap! Her superpowers include being extremely lovable, snuggling, and sticking right by your side. She's still unsure about walking on a leash but will get there quickly with reassurance. In terms of house training, she's currently using pee pads but I'm sure she would learn to go outside easily with some reassurance. Some of her favorite things are squeaky toys, carrying her toys around the house, and playing with other dogs her size. She loves greenie treats ! If you're looking for a companion who loves to be by your side and cuddles like a pro she might be your perfect match! Lilly is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Butternut! Butternut is an adorable 4-month-old, 9 pound Maltese/Pomeranian mix. Butternut is the definition of fluffy, with beautiful pure white hair and a tail that corkscrews up over his back like a little pom-pom. Rescued from a puppy mill, Butternut didn't have the greatest start in life, but he got out when he was young enough that he doesn't show any signs of emotional or physical damage. He is playful, affectionate and loves people. At 9 pounds, he is on the larger side for a Maltipom, which are small dogs. He is being fostered with a 4-year-old female Bassett Hound, and his two puppy mill and foster companions. While in foster care, Butternut has shown to be friendly with people, children, and other dogs. He is an active puppy. He loves to run, play and romp with his puppy and dog friends in foster care. Once he tires of that, he likes to sit with his foster mom on the couch and snuggle. Butternut thinks of himself as a watch dog. If he encounters new or unknown things, he will let you know about it. But he settles down quickly once the unknown has been identified. Other than that, he is pretty quiet. Butternut is doing excellent at learning to use puppy pads and is working on his potty training. He also rides well in a car! In short, Butternut is just a sweet, affectionate, cooperative and friendly little dog that would be a great addition to most familiies. If you think you're the right family/individua to give Butternut the home he deserves, please apply today. He won't disappoint! He is fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. His adoption fee is $450. Butternut is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. Story
Meet Peanut! Peanut is an adorable 4-month-old Maltese/Pomeranian mix who currently weighs about 4lbs. With his curly white and beige hair and big brown eyes, Peanut is just precious. Rescued from a puppy mill, Peanut didn't have the greatest start in life, but he got out when he was young enough that he doesn't show any signs of physical or emotional damage. He is playful, affectionate and loves people! At just 4 pounds now, he is a tiny little guy. He'll likely be around 10 pounds when fully grown. He is being fostered with a 4-year-old female Bassett Hound, and his two puppy mill companions. While in foster care, Peanut has gotten along well with people, children, and other dogs. He is an active puppy, and often very wiggly when picked up. He loves to run, play and romp with his mill friends. But, once he tires of that, he likes to sit with his foster mom on the couch. So far, Peanut has been pretty quiet. There is the occasional whine when foster mom goes to the other room or bark when in a lively game of "steal each others toys, but that's about it. Peanut is doing excellent at learning to use puppy pads and he's working on his potty training. He rides well in a car as well. Peanut is an independent, lovable little dog, not to mention super cute), that would be a great addition to most families! If you think you're the right family/individual to give Peanut the home he deserves, please apply today. He'll steal your heart! Peanut is fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. His adoption fee is $450.
