Story

Margo is a Maltese/Bichon mix around 4 years old weighing 12lbs. She was rescued from a puppy mill a few weeks ago and recently made her way into a quieter foster home where she is absolutely thriving! She loves running around and bringing her toys (along with socks and slippers lol) to her favorite spots in the house. Her foster mom calls her a TSA agent because she loves investigating what’s been brought in when they come home from shopping! She is still getting used to being shown affection but is very curious about people and will run up and give you some licks and sniffs and likes a good chin scratch. Margo is crate trained and sleeps there all night without accidents. She is working hard on potty training and her foster parents are incorporating potty pads to help with that. She is not a fan of the leash quite yet and will need at least a small fenced in potty area. She is cat neutral, and very friendly with dogs of all sizes though she currently doesn’t mind being the only animal in the house. Margo will likely be shy at the meet and greet, but our foster to adopt program would be great for her as you will definitely see her sweet and silly personality shine through after a few days adjusting to a new environment. Margo has a spay scheduled in July that will be covered by the rescue, so if applying please be sure you can get her to Hamburg, NY for that! No long distance adoptions at this time. Milenese is a small female dog who is friendly with people and dogs. Milenese is still working on being 100% house broken, but she has been making progress. Milenese is learning how to walk on a lease outside but does enjoy being outside and watching what is going on around her. Milenese likes to be petted and enjoys belly rubs, and loves to curl up and sleep!Personality & Characteristics: Milenese is sweet and will flollow you around the house for a little bit and then crawl in her bed and take a good nap. Milenese will come to you for some pets and then go back to her bed.My foster dog is good with: (Dogs, Kids, Cats) Loves to be around other dogs, not sure about cats and kids.My foster dog is: (Crate trained, House trained, Low shed) I am not sure if Milenese is crate trained. Milenese is not house trained and doesn't shed.3 Keywords for your pup:Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy):1 Milenese is calm but once or twice since I've had her she made a howling sound at night and then when she saw me she was fine. This past night she hasn't made the sound. At night I keep Milenese in my large bathroom with my other foster dog in her bed where she can roam around and use the training pads.Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Milenese is very quiet.Walking Manners: Milenese is still learning how to walk on a leash.Appetite: Milenese sometimes eats all her food and sometimes she likes to eat some and come back for the rest.
