Meet Gigi: A Story of Resilience and Hope Gigi’s journey began in a mass breeding facility, where her early life was marked by confinement and fear; used solely for profit. Thankfully, a kind rescuer saved Gigi and surrendered her to Loyal Rescue, giving her the chance to start a new chapter filled with love and hope. At first, Gigi was terrified of human contact, shying away at the slightest approach. But with time, patience, and love, she began to trust and discover joy. Now, Gigi curiously follows her foster family around, eager to see what they’re doing. She’s grown confident enough to explore other rooms on her own and often brings back a slipper or toy she finds—never causing any damage, just showing her playful spirit. Gigi sleeps peacefully in her crate overnight. Gigi will follow another dog when she is on a leash. Gigi loves car rides and is an absolute angel when it comes to baths, nail trims, and brushing—this girl loves to look and feel pretty! Her tail now wags with joy when you talk to her, and she adorably tilts her head, listening intently. When it’s mealtime, she’ll let out the cutest, low-key “lady like bark” to let you know she’s excited. It was a joy to hear her sweet little reminder bark. What Gigi Needs: Gigi needs an experienced owner who understands the needs of a skittish rescue dog. Having spent her entire 5 years surrounded by other dogs, she requires a home with at least one calm, confident dog from whom she can learn to be a dog and continue her journey toward confidence.
