Meet Blue! He is a 2 yr old neutered male Maremma Sheepdog/Great Pyrenees mix that weighs 58lbs. He came in as an owner surrender as he was tied up in the yard as they stated he was escaping. As with any pet it’s important to provide a secured backyard to hopefully avoid these situations, in addition to socialization and providing them fun activities. One that Blue enjoys is playing with spraying water. With his breed he will also need grooming to keep his coat clean, soft and shiny! As we walked past other dogs barking at him, he didn`t show any interest in them, tho we do ask if there will be another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. He walks well on a leash, tho didn`t show much interest in treats or stuffed toys. He would be best suited in a home environment, not an apartment, where he can enjoy time outside then go back inside to spend time with his loving family. Come spend time with Blue!

Meet Ida Wells - Our Last Little Explorer! I just saw Ida today for the first time since she was a baby, and wow — she's growing into the most adventurous, sweet, soft pup! At about 4 months old, this lab mix is full of curiosity, joy, and love. She's the perfect match for a family with kids who love to climb, dig, explore, and play in the dirt. Sand dunes? Trails? Beach days? Ida is so ready! She's the last one left from her litter — and trust us, they've all had incredible temperaments. Meet the “Trailblazer” Litter Found abandoned in a box on a quiet country road, these tiny fighters were barely weeks old, their eyes just beginning to open to the world. With no mother in sight, they were cold, hungry, and in desperate need of care. But despite their rough start, they’ve already shown resilience, strength, and a spark of hope—just like the iconic Black women they’re named after in honor of Black History Month. These pups have a long road ahead, but with love and care, they’ll soon be ready to find their forever homes. Each one carries the legacy of strength and perseverance, proving that even the smallest can make the biggest impact. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update.
