Meet Blue! He is a 2 yr old neutered male Maremma Sheepdog/Great Pyrenees mix that weighs 58lbs. He came in as an owner surrender as he was tied up in the yard as they stated he was escaping. As with any pet it’s important to provide a secured backyard to hopefully avoid these situations, in addition to socialization and providing them fun activities. One that Blue enjoys is playing with spraying water. With his breed he will also need grooming to keep his coat clean, soft and shiny! As we walked past other dogs barking at him, he didn`t show any interest in them, tho we do ask if there will be another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. He walks well on a leash, tho didn`t show much interest in treats or stuffed toys. He would be best suited in a home environment, not an apartment, where he can enjoy time outside then go back inside to spend time with his loving family. Come spend time with Blue!

They need someone will lots of time and patience to raise them to be the best adult dogs they can be! Please stay tuned for more photos and info as we get to know Oreo!  $325 donation includes three rounds of puppy vaccines, dewormer, a one-year rabies vaccine, microchip and registration, and spay/neuter. Adopter will take the puppy to an LHS-approved vet to be spayed/neutered at 16 weeks of age per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance with Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code. Story
Leilani and her siblings were products of an accidental litter. The family reached out to LHS for assisting with the pups and spaying and neutering mom (German Shep/Husky) and dad (Great Pyrenees). These pups have the typical Pyr personality (calm, loving, great with dogs, cats and kids of all shapes and sizes). But they are still puppies and will need a home with the time and attention to teach them how to be the best doggies they can be. They are working on housetraining and crate training and doing great!  Their adoption fee includes 3 sets of vaccinations, rabies, heartworm test, spay/neuter, microchip and microchip registration.
