Glintspark A17284967 lb. spayed female, approx 3 years old -Walks well on a leash-Pretty calm and on the more chill side-Absolutely loves snacks!! Sits and takes them gently when you say “easy”.-She’s curious of toys but not currently playing with them-Total lap dog who loves belly rubs!!-Affectionate and gives some kisses-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. •The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

Story
Meet Toph! Toph, aka Toffee, is a lovable, affectionate, and energetic pup who’s always ready for cuddles, playtime, and plenty of love! With her sweet, snuggly nature, she’s the ultimate lovebug who thrives on affection and being the center of attention. Though she’s a little cautious around new things and people, once she warms up, she’s a total joy to be around. She’s active, playful, and always up for a good game with her foster siblings or a fun adventure to daycare. Toffee loves car rides, going outside, and taking walks, but when she’s ready to relax, she’s the best snuggle buddy, curling up on the couch for a cozy nap. Toffee loves to shower everyone she meets with kisses, especially cats—she’s a big fan of licking their heads. She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Toph knows many basic commands, including “sit,” “stay,” "outside," "crate," and “off." She also responds well to her name! Toph is dog and cat friendly, and we believe she would do well around children who have experience with large dogs - she loves every human she meets. She gets along wonderfully with cats and loves to spend time with them. If you’re looking for a high-energy, affectionate companion who will give you endless love and joy, Toffee might just be the perfect fit. She’d do well in an active household with other dogs or cats, and she’s sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face with her sweet and silly personality! Toph can be an only dog in an active home with someone who can keep her busy. Adoption is $275 and includes spay/neuter at our vet when age appropriate, vaccines to date of adoption, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Toph has completed all medical. Story
Meet Tassels: A Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold Introducing Tassels, also lovingly called Mumma by her fosters, a majestic 1.5-year-old Mastiff/Mountain Cur mix whose journey to happiness is truly inspiring. Rescued from a life of uncertainty while extremely pregnant and terrified, Tassels has shown incredible resilience. She was elusive for over a year, only seen on a Ring camera in the Detroit neighborhood she roamed, until we finally secured her safety. Since then, she has blossomed in foster care, watching her babies find their forever homes. Now, it's her turn! Why Tassels is Special: Loving and Affectionate: Tassels expresses her love by placing her massive head in your lap or under your hand for scratches. Her affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion. Well-Trained and Mannered: She knows basic commands, is potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Playful and Joyful: Despite her size, Tassels is playful and enjoys the simple pleasures of cuddling, playing with toys, and lounging in the grass on sunny days. Her zoomies are a sight to behold and bring laughter and joy to everyone around her. Curious and Easygoing: Over the months, Tassels has overcome her initial shyness and now approaches life with curiosity and ease. She’s come to enjoy her interactions with people and her foster sibling. Tassels’ Ideal Home: Tassels would thrive in a home without cats or small dogs. She can live with another dog, but a proper, slow introduction is necessary to ensure a harmonious relationship. Her ideal family will be one that can provide stability, plenty of space for her to stretch her legs, and lots of love. She responds wonderfully to food, affection, and praise, making her a delightful and grateful companion. Is Tassels the Missing Piece in Your Family? If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and serene companion to add warmth and joy to your home, consider welcoming Tassels into your life. She promises to fill your days with affection and happiness. Ready to adopt Tassels? Apply today! Visit our website to fill out an adoption application and learn more about how you can bring Tassels home! Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home and we want our adopters to be prepared for that! APPLY on our WEBSITE: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt

Story
Klutz alert! Slobber warning! Yak was secured as a a stray a while back, and has now spent some time with us at the shelter. While a young mastiff mix is not the perfect match for all households - we know there must be someone out there wanting Yak! 1 year old, clumsy and bouncy, already neutered and ready to learn everything you want to teach him! Yak loves sharing his affection and enthusiasm with everyone he meets. He wants to hold onto his toys, but still allows for some fetch play. Yak is not barking at the other dogs at the shelter. He is ready to go as a foster or a foster-to-adopt immediately. Yak is a big puppy who needs consistency and a small world to succeed. Please share and tag lovers of big boys. rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt Included in the adoption fee of $275 is up to date vet care, vaccines, dewormer microchip and neuter.

Story
🌟 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐥 🌟 This sweet girl came to us as a stray from GCAC, terrified and shut down. We knew we had to save her. She was struggling to eat, and the noisy shelter environment was overwhelming for her. Now that she's in a loving foster home, she's truly blossoming! Despite her size, she's still just a puppy at heart, full of playful energy and joy. She already knows "sit" and is learning to give her paw. More than anything, she just wants love. Daffodil is a happy-go-lucky girl ready to brighten someone's life! 💛 ▪️3 years/ Female ▪️Mastiff Mix ❇️ Enjoys Walks ❇️ Loves to Play ❇️ Puppy Energy ❇️ Sweet as can be 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲: https://airtable.com/appRel0u6Xk5zFI8e/shrgRzyCwZOVjZUxp *If the link does not work copy and paste into your search bar.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet the magnificent Miss Hetti. She is a playful, energy abundant Cane Corso, and likely, boxer mix. She loves tummy rubs, fetch, and Benebone chew toys. Hetti thrives on multiple walks per day however can over heat quickly in higher temps. She is very strong and still learning manners with passing animals so an experienced handler and dog owner is a must. She loves greeting people but due to her size and still puppy behaviors, a house with kids over 12 is preferred. For Hetti to live her best life she should be a solo canine with a large fenced yard and an active owner willing to give her the exercise and attention she needs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 5, 2025, 6:00 pm
