He is shy at first with new people. Once he gets to know you he is a snuggly sweet guy. Tag is very sensitive and smart. He is coming out of his shell and amazing transformation. He loves to snuggle. He loves to curl up right on top of you or beside you and just enjoy his time with you. He has been great with dogs that are similar to his size and adapts quickly. He's also got the basics down (kennel trained, potty trained, gets along with other animals) and is ready to find the perfect home. He's pretty vocal when it comes to telling you what he wants. For example, he will bark or whine near the water dish, door (for potty), or food when he wants it. He's so smart and picks up on things pretty quickly.Tag needs time to adjust and decompress in new situations. He is quite skittish and weary of new people. Because he is skittish, he would do best in an all adult home or a home with older, patient children. This is what her foster mom has to say about her- 'Hi I am Estee Lauder and I am a Min Pin mix. Here is a little bit about my breed. It is important to read this because I have a lot of these traits. The Miniature Pinscher, affectionately known as the Min Pin, is a petite little canine full of vim! If you’re in search of a lapdog, this breed might not be the ideal choice for you. These spirited dogs are bursting with energy and attitude, and they’ll make sure you’re aware of it. Although they’re not the type to lounge about, Min Pins form strong bonds with their families and show affection towards the people they care for. Some may be wary of strangers, while others may gradually warm up to new faces. Despite their petite size, these dogs are determined to be your vigilant watchdog. Courageous and audacious, they’ll promptly notify you of any changes in their surroundings. With a Min Pin, you’ll always be on high alert. My foster mom says I am a lot like this although you can find me next to my mom lounging when I am not playing with toys or looking out the window for movement. I am a devoted little one she says. I am on high guard when someone comes to my home. I bark and act like I am telling you not to move My foster mom says no and squirt me with a water spray bottle and I walked away. You see I will listen to guidance from you. I just need to learn what you expect from me as you are learning my traits. I am loyal and will protect you. I think I am a big girl that can handle anything. I am full of fun and entertainment. I love to have your attention and warm up pretty fast. I am best suited for a active mom and dad that will play fetch and give me walks. I can get along with other dogs but I am the bossy one and need to be guided that it is not acceptable to act that way. I can learn but ultimately I would love someone all to myself. I am best with children that respect my boundaries and give me tender attention. So probably ages 10 and up are best for me. I love to sleep with you. I will cuddle up and be content. I whine a little if you crate me but my foster mom is working on that so I can be more comfortable when I need to be in one of those things called a crate. So this is me. I am full of vim and energy and lots of love to give. I am a fun loving breed but need to work on teaching me some things in life. I am very smart and will aim to make you happy. Ladron is a friendly, active little fellow, with happy goofball energy. He is young enough to be playful, but mature enough to hang out and relax with his person. Ladron can be initially shy when meeting new people, but warms up quickly. He has been at the shelter since 09/23 and gets along great with his "pack" here at the shelter, but would love to have a home of his own! (He previously lived with his hooman, along with his buddy "Coco" who is also at the shelter. Sadly his owner passed away and Ladron and Coco came to Jelly's to find a new furever home.) Ladron is great with other dogs, and loves to go for leashed walks. He will be a great addition to any home where he can go for daily walks and get all the love and affection he deserves!
