Story
(BONDED WITH SOLSTICE)My name is CEREAL (Xiaoman) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Poodle/Tibetan Terrier mixAge: 4 yrsGender: maleWeight: 15 lbsHeight: 16 inchesCountry of origin: ChinaHighlight(s): Affectionate, lively, clingy, curious, obedient I'm a curious little guy with a lively bounce in my step. My name Xiaoman means grain buds? Cute hunh? It is a Chinese term used during Summertime. Hence the name Cereal.A person who lives in the neighborhood of where we were found as strays saw us. Over the past four years, we were witnessed living together, relying on occasional leftover food from neighbors. This person always felt sorry for us, but lacked the means, ability, and courage to rescue us, all the while feeling guilty and helpless. Earlier this year, this lovely person noticed our condition deteriorating. We were navigating busy streets, scavenging from trash cans, and drinking dirty water mixed with food scraps and garbage. Our fur started getting matted and falling out, and my pal Lixia developed a bloody eye growth.Determined to save us, our overseeing angel posted our situation on social media. A rescuer  saw the plea and decided to help rescue us. We were transported to a nearby hospital for checkups and treatment. We were both severely malnourished and had poor coat conditions. We were properly treated and Lixia underwent surgery for his eye problem. After treatment, we were discharged. Now our rescuer has taken us back to her town for foster care, until we can find a home together. I have been shaved down to treat my skin and remove all the mats. No worries, it will grow back for new photos later. My most recent vet visit, confirmed my good health. My dental health is generally good with a pending detailed exam upcoming.I tend toward the affectionate, but can be a little clingy, as I show slight separation anxiety. This should resolve in time with a little consistent work. I'm an obedient little boy, who will happily take cues on what you want. Now that I've been getting socialized, I have improved significantly on my housetraining skills. My friend Lixia and I must be adopted together, as we are pretty bonded after surviving the streets together. We would likely adapt to most any home. We get along with other dogs, though we haven't been introduced to cats. I will soon be neutered, though not yet microchipped. Our adoption fee together is $1500.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes our transportation to Canada, if we are able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2081368##

Story
My name is Freddy and here is a little info about me:Breed: Mini Poodle MixAge: 2 years oldGender: Male, neuteredWeight: 18 lbsHeight: 13 in Hey there, folks! I'm just a little pup with a big ol' tale to tell. See, not long ago, I found myself in a real sad situation after I was found in the streets and ended up in an awful "high kill". I was scared beyond belief in this big, noisy shelter wanting more than anything for someone to come and take me home.  But then, just when things were looking pretty ruff, my luck changed! This amazing team of humans swooped in and rescued me from that scary place. They said I deserved a chance at a happy life, and boy, am I grateful for that! Now, I'm living the dream with my foster family. They're teaching me all about what it means to be part of a loving pack. There's comfy beds, yummy treats, and lots of playtime in the sunshine. I'm learning so much every day, like how to potty outside, explore on a leash and give the best puppy kisses! Life sure is sweet now, thanks to my incredible foster family. They're all about teaching me the ropes, like how to sit and stay (still working on that one). But sometimes, I get board and I pick a shoe to chew. Yeah, I know… I’m learning not to do anymore! But hey, I'm learning a little every day. I am slowly learning what a normal, happy dog life is all about, and I couldn't be happier. So here's to second chances, belly rubs, and forever homes. Woof woof! Energy Level: Moderate/High I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnknownKids: Yes no video Prey drive: unknown/not observed. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: unknown/none observed. Training: basicLeash skills: Please be prepared to train me.House trained: Yes but will need help in a new home I have been vaccinated, and microchipped and neutered My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Story
Meet Eric! Our young boy here who was surrendered to us. Eric is a very sweet and energetic poodle weighing in at 11 kgs. He is fully vaccinated and his coat is non shedding and hypoallergenic. Eric immediately bonded with our fosters daughter and sleeps with her and is super playful and loving with everyone. He loves going for rides in the car and displays high levels of intelligence as to where things are, understanding talk and direction, etc. Poodles are known for their high intellect and ability to learn quite fast and how to communicate to humans. Eric is no exception to this! Eric does need to be properly, fully house trained for using the bathroom as this was never taught to him. Because he is young and highly intelligent, this shouldn't be an issue for very long. If you are interested in our playful sweet Eric, please contact us through the website here to find out more!
