Story
This fantastic boy is about 2 years of age or so. He weighs 13 pounds and is the most friendly little guy you can meet. He loves to be held and to sit on laps. He has a super personality and is good with kids, other dogs and cats as well. He was living in a home for about 10 days after being found as a stray. His coat was a mess so finder got him shaved down. He will continue to need grooming to keep him from getting matted. We have given him vaccinations and he will be microchipped and neutered on the 20th of August so can go home pretty soon. He is such a fun, good boy. The person who found him either kept him in the yard or in a crate, so not sure if he is potty trained, but he is a smartie! $300.00 will help us with his costs. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Meet Dew: Your Future Best Buddy!   Origin: Antioch Animal Shelter Breed: Poodle Mix Age: 1-2 years Weight: 15 lbs   Dew is an energetic and lovable poodle mix with a non-shedding, healthy coat that’s as fluffy as his personality! Here’s what makes Dew special:   Playful Spirit: Dew is an active guy who adores playtime with toys, shoes, and occasionally his bedding (he loves to snuggle with shoes but won’t chew them up). He’s a bit of an attention hound and will even bring you his dish when he’s hungry!   &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Friendly & Sociable: Dew gets along great with other dogs, though he has a special bond with female pups. He’s had a bit of a rough start with males but now enjoys wrestling and zooming around with his new buddy!   Housebroken: Dew is housebroken and uses the doggie door like a pro, though he might have a few accidents if he gets too excited or scared. Regular trips outside help him stay on track.   Sleeping: Dew sleeps in a kennel at night but isn’t a big fan of it. He’s a bit of a passive resister but settles down eventually.   Training: He’s learned the basic commands like “no” and “off” and has just picked up “sit.” His leash skills need a bit of work, but with some patience, he’ll get there!   If you’re looking for a lively and loving companion, Dew is your guy! To meet this sweet boy and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family, fill out an application at www.beourpet.org/adoptions.php.   Let Dew bring joy and wagging tails into your life!   #AdoptDontShop#PoodleMix#AntiochCA#RescueDog#ForeverHome#MeetDew We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  August 15, 2024, 7:15 pm

Story
Cody and Molly are a sweet bonded pair who came to us after their mom passed away. They are kind, considerate and gentle little lambs. Cody is 28 lbs (needs to lose some weight!) and Molly is 13 lbs. Cody is 17 years young and Molly is 18 years young. They've been indoor dogs for a long time with little to no outdoor time and they're happy to enjoy the great outdoors, especially when it's sunny! These two really are the sweetest pair of buddies they look forward to spending forever and ever together. Cody came to us with bladder stones, had surgery and is now on a special diet to help prevent this from occurring again. Molly and Cody are a very sweet pair who don't ask for much, just a loving, warm and cozy home where they get to enjoy indoor and outdoor sunshine time together.

Story
Meet Frank, aka Mr. Personality! Frank is a 4-year-old cutie pie who is the epitome of a social butterfly. He wants to make friends with everyone he meets and is eager to crawl in your lap and cover you in kisses. He is the perfect little sidekick to be right by your side for whatever the day holds. Frank is fully grown and weighs about 10lbs. Frank was found as a stray with his buddy, Beans, and brought to the local animal shelter. They both were in horrible condition and were covered in mats and foxtails. A local groomer offered her services, and now he feels much better with his new haircut. Beans has been adopted, so now it's Frank's turn! Frank is a happy little man who loves to be the center of attention. His ideal day would be cuddling with his family and getting yummy treats. We have found that while Frank is a total lap dog, he is also a great little running buddy and does great keeping pace and sticking right by your side. We have also found out that he loves to play fetch! Frank seems like he would like to be your one and only fur kid. He thinks kitties are a little too fun to chase, but may do okay with dog-savvy cats with some training and management. Frank has previously lived with kids and would make a wonderful addition to a family with kids 5 years or older. Frank has been doing well with his housetraining, but his new family should keep an eye on him while adjusting to a new environment and routine. Frank has done well being crated at night and when home alone. Frank has done well living in an apartment. Due to his fur type, Frank requires routine grooming. His new family should be prepared to pay for professional grooming or be willing to learn to ensure his coat is properly maintained. Frank doesn't shed, but we cannot guarantee he is allergy-friendly as we do not know his exact breed mix. Frank is such a sweet boy and we know his perfect family is out there. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!     Frank's adoption fee is $350.     Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. August 19, 2024, 1:02 pm

Story
George is 11 years old, turning 12 years old in January next year. This breed expect to live 15+ years or longer. We had George since he was a puppy. We are relocating so are very sorry to have to find him a new family. He enjoys a variety of treats, and like many dogs enjoys a regular daily routine. George is very sweet and loving, however, he had some bad experiences at the vet when he was young, he will occasionally snap when he feels threatened or being forced to do something he doesn’t want to. In rare cases he has bitten fingers. He is very treat motivated, so very trainable. As long as he feels secure, he is a perfectly loving companion. Because of George’s insecurity, it is necessary for him to go to a family that is calm, loving, patient, and no little kid, someone who is familiar with dog behaviors, and is experienced in training dogs. George always wears a harness and sleeps in a kennel at night. A kennel with dog bed will go with him for free.
