Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Available 4 Adoption Located in Tampa, FL His name is Sampson, but he will forever be known as “the one that got away “. Sometimes, after many years of fostering dogs, you think you “got this”. You’ve got your pack and you’ll add to your pack when appropriate, and now with experience, you choose your dogs wisely. In the meantime, you settle in and move the dogs that you foster into fantastic homes. But then a special dog comes along. Not only is he just a good boy he’s like an empath dog at only 8 months old. He sees into your heart and soul. He naturally holds your hand every time you go for a car ride. He takes treats so very gently. He calmly sits down by your side as you’re standing at the sink making his dinner. He follows you from room to room. He loves to build forts with his toys and surround himself with them, or bring them to his bed and stack them while he tries to put himself in the middle of the bed between them without knocking them over. He’s gentle but clumsy and goofy, as he hasn’t realized his own size yet. He lopes like a big antelope as he hasn’t seemed to really learn how to run yet… but he doesn’t go far and he looks back at you for constant reassurance as he doesn’t really want to leave your side. He's 90 percent potty trained. He loves people, loves his food, loves his treats, loves to give hugs, loves other dogs, HE JUST LOVES. It will be beyond hard to let him go, but there’s no room, the time is not right, and he deserves better than to be dog number 5 or 6. He’s a once in a lifetime dog. He will be your best friend. He will look at you inquisitively as you tell him about your day, and he will lick your tears if you cry at night. We don’t know what he is, as he was found as a stray, whose people never came looking for him . If you look at his coloring, he presents as an insufficient coat Phantom Bernadoodle. His face looks like a Labradoodle. Literally he could be any combination of dogs, as there could be a German shepherd/wire haired terrier under there. It doesn’t really matter what he is, because he is so special. So he can only go to a very special home with special people. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Reef is very young (under a year)  apricot poodle mix. This little 8lb powerhouse is determined to enjoy life, no matter what it throws at him.  Reef is looking for a patient home that has time to continue to spoil him in the manner he is accustomed. He is currently fostered with numerous other pups. His ideal home would be one that mommy/daddy are home most of the time and that doesn't mind a sweet, loving, velcro dog.  Unlimited kisses are the reward.  Some things we know about Reef are that he is differently abled. He appears to have a deformity in his spine or was possibly crated for long periods of time but, that doesn't slow him down any. It just makes him look a bit wonky while on the run. Reef wears a diaper while indoors, as he doesn't seem to have a party bladder and it keeps messes to a minimum. Foster is giving him multiple meals throughout the day to help him with his nutritional needs. Reef is available for a foster to adopt while the rescue continues to tend to his medical needs. If you are the special family that gets lucky enough to give this boy the home he deserves, the rewards will be big. Rescue will cover regular vaccinations, neuter and current medical needs till adopted. Story
Oprah was adopted 5 years ago from a shelter. Current age approx 8 years old. Loves people and is good with kids. Needs to be only pet in the house. Does not do well with most other dogs. Looking for someone who is retired or who works from home. That has been her experience and she will want to be with you. Oprah has noise anxiety, thunder, trucks, loud noises scare her. Best in a quiet household. Her current diet is The Farmers Dog, and would like her person to be able to keep her on this diet. Home needed within a few months. Due to terminal illness must rehome her. Please only serious adopters apply. This is a difficult situation and a perfect home is needed. She currently lives in Ocala Florida.Thank you

Story
immy is being fostered in PA. Jimmy is a special little guy, a 14 week old Mini Poodle, who was dealt a bad hand physically but nothing is stopping him from being happy and enjoying life. Jimmy is working on house breaking and coming along. We are starting to learn SIT and COME. He follows his foster Mommy all over and just loves to be with people and other pups to play with and snuggle. We call Jimmy a little goat because he likes to launch himself in the air at you or another pup. Jimmy is sight impaired, one eye did not develop and the other is smaller than normal but he does have enough sight to get around ok. Then there is his wee heart. Jimmy has two abnormalities and is being put on a beta-blocker to slow heart rate. Basically, there is a hole in the heart (VSD) and it is pushing blood through the right side into the lungs. Then, there is the pulmonic valve that is not opening enough to push blood to the lungs. So two abnormalities, but in a way working together: were one is not putting enough blood to lungs the other is putting blood to lungs. The cardiologist put Jimmy’s prognosis as guarded. He needs a re-check in 9 months to see where things stand. Possibly, at that time they can do a balloon procedure to open the valve. Also, there is a chance as he grows the hole could shrink but that is uncertain. As for Jimmy, don’t tell him he has any “issues”. He says, “I’m a puppy and I like to play with other dogs, run around chasing after my foster Mommy, and just have lots of fun. Life, bring it on”. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
