Story
Meet Barry! This sweet little Blackberry, aka Barry, is the total package. He is just 30lbs, most likely a mini Doodle, and the cutest little guy. He is full of energy, loves playing and loves toys. He came to us with his "brother" Banjo and although they are not bonded, Barry is the leader of the pack. He's very confident and a bit bossy with his brother, but he's a great dog. He is excellent for all aspects of grooming, we were so impressed! We have not had him around other dogs other than his brother yet. We think that he would be fine as an only dog that is well socialized and has plenty of outlets for playtime or with another dog. He has been sweet with kids, but we have not had him around cats. Barry is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and soon to be neutered. He is in St. Petersburg, estimated at 2 years old and his adoption fee is $400. www.love4pawsfl.com/adoption-process

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Reef is very young (under a year)  apricot poodle mix. This little 8lb powerhouse is determined to enjoy life, no matter what it throws at him.  Reef is looking for a patient home that has time to continue to spoil him in the manner he is accustomed. He is currently fostered with numerous other pups. His ideal home would be one that mommy/daddy are home most of the time and that doesn't mind a sweet, loving, velcro dog.  Unlimited kisses are the reward.  Some things we know about Reef are that he is differently abled. He appears to have a deformity in his spine or was possibly crated for long periods of time but, that doesn't slow him down any. It just makes him look a bit wonky while on the run. Reef wears a diaper while indoors, as he doesn't seem to have a party bladder and it keeps messes to a minimum. Foster is giving him multiple meals throughout the day to help him with his nutritional needs. Reef is available for a foster to adopt while the rescue continues to tend to his medical needs. If you are the special family that gets lucky enough to give this boy the home he deserves, the rewards will be big. Rescue will cover regular vaccinations, neuter and current medical needs till adopted. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gabi is a 3-year-old miniature poodle weighing around 13 pounds. For the first years of her life, she was a breeder mama and is now looking forward to having a new home where she can be a family dog. Gabi has a unique look with one blue eye and one brown eye, and those eyes look at people with so much love saying I am ready to be yours. She is sweet, affectionate, and considered a huge snuggle bug. She is also timid/shy so will need some help with socialization and learning to trust. She is dog-friendly but sometimes gets nervous around people she does not know. She attaches herself to women and is slightly cautious around men. Once she bonds with “her person” she becomes very protective of her sometimes barking if others come near her. And her anxiety will come out when left alone or in unfamiliar scenarios. Her favorite activity is to follow her foster mother wherever she goes around the house. When her foster mother sits down in a chair Gabi gets up on her hind legs wanting to be petted or tries to get on her lap. If she is not able to because her foster mother needs to work, then Gabi lays quietly at her feet. Gabi's crate is her safe space and recommend leaving her crate door open while at home or away; she will go there to relax or, when alone, to sleep. She loves to sleep near your feet in bed, snuggles on the couch or playing with squeaky toys. She has a huge personality but needs someone with patience who can help build her confidence. Gabi’s perfect home is one that is quiet and has low energy.   Needs to be only dog in the house – Recommended Needs to live with just adults or older children – YES due to Gabi’s fear/anxiety Potty-trained – YES Playful – YES Walks on a Leash – Is in the process of learning and understanding what to do (luckily is willing to try) Food motivated – YES (which helps with training) Does great in the car - YES Gabi’s adoption fee is $515 and covers all shots including rabies, dewormer, microchip, and spay. The average lifespan for this breed is 15 years. Therefore, Gabi’s adopter will need to be prepared to care for her for around 12 more years so she will not have to move to a different home again. She is currently being fostered in the Tampa area. ------------------ ***We are a foster-based rescue with no shelter or facility to view our dogs, and our address is a mailing address only. Please be patient as we are an all-volunteer rescue, and our rescue dogs are in various loving foster homes throughout West-Central Florida. As a general rule we try to limit our adoptions to within the state of FL. If interested in one of our dogs, please fill out a foster or adoption application at www.4luckydogs.org, and we will contact you by phone/text if we feel your application is the best fit out of the ones received.***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 24, 2025, 5:01 pm

Adopt me Rex & Reina 💕 These two babies came into a local animal control as a cruelty seizure. Rex has some skin issues that are being worked on currently and Reina was groomed & simply adorable! These two babies are looking for their forever home together! They are both fixed, vaccinated, and chipped! They are as sweet as can be- but do need a patient understanding how as they can be a bit nervous at first. They are fine with other dogs, but do tend to “cling” to each other! 🔗Apply online at https://www.southernstatesbullyrescue.org/blank 📍 Brooksville, FL

Story
Meet Rusty! He loves to run around outside and would probably spend hours running around the backyard if I let him. He walks well on a leash and is very food motivated. He's crate trained and does utilize it as a safe place. He does resource guard but so far it's only been with food and that's been easily manageable by feeding separately in his kennel. Rusty does well with the dogs he's met so far and does best with a slow introduction. He can take a little bit to warm up to new people, but he will absolutely be your shadow once he's comfortable. He's a sweet old man and can occasionally be a little grumpy, but he loves to be held and cuddle on the couch. Apply to adopt at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/Dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.
