Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Leyton, our adorable 2-year-old miniature Poodle. He's looking for his forever family after being released from a retiring breeder. Leyton is about 15 pounds of pure cuteness and love! Leyton is adjusting well to living in a home and being a pet!  He loves being outdoors and playing with the other dogs in his foster home. Watch out when he gets the zoomies! Leyton likes to play with toys and anything he can find will become a toy too.   He is very friendly and enjoys being around people.  He is very affectionate and loves to give kisses.  He still needs some work on leash training and house training. He is doing well but needs that finetuning.   He is also getting used to crate training - he does well as long as he can see a person, but may cry a bit when left alone. Leyton loves other dogs and would love another playful dog in his home but it is not required.  He is curious about cats but not aggressive,  Leyton has been around kids and did just fine.  Leyton was shaved down when he arrived and his coat is starting to grow out.  He will need regular grooming throughout his life so please keep that in mind if you are interested! Leyton is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $475Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 16, 2024, 2:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cute little Churro is available for adoption!  He is about 4 months old and is a Mini Goldendoodle that was surrendered by a going out of business breeder!  We believe he will be about 20-25 pounds when fully grown.   Meet Churro, the adorable little troublemaker! Churro is a typical puppy, bursting with energy and mischief. He just loves spending time outdoors and has a real passion for water and swimming! Oh, and don't get him started on his love for toys and chewies – he's always got one in his paws. Churro is a social butterfly and adores playing with other dogs. While he's fine with the cats in his foster home, he's always trying to get them to play by giving them a little chase! As for his housetraining, well, he's working hard on it, but just like any baby, he'll need a bit more guidance in his foster home. Good thing he's got a fully fenced yard there to help him out! One thing to note – he's not quite leash trained yet.   Churro is a young puppy, so he will require lots of love, patience, and training in his new home. Regular grooming will also be necessary, so please keep that in mind if you are thinking about adopting a doodle breed. Although he doesn't seem to shed, he is not considered hypoallergenic. Churro is up to date with age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and flea/worm treated. We require a spay/neuter contract to be signed at the time of adoption. The cost of his neuter is included in the adoption fee and fully explained in the contract. He is scheduled to be neutered at Operation Pets on August 21st, and it will be the adopter's responsibility to take him to the appointment. His adoption fee is $650.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 16, 2024, 2:07 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! Sasha is an overweight poodle at 21 pounds and she should be more like 15 pounds.  She could really use an owner to help her lose weight and feel loved again.  She is 6 years old so no need to potty trained this young veteran.  Sasha came to me with another dog after their owner suddenly passed away from health problems.  She is dog and people friendly, walks well on the leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  Her companion was an overweight male chihuahua mix and they had been together a long time.  He has been placed already and now Sasha would love to be in a stable home.   If you are interested in adopting Sasha please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         August 18, 2024, 7:41 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This little guy SAMMY has been with me a while because he had cherry eyes in both eyes and needed surgery.  He still looks a little sluggish but his surgery to remove both cherry eyes went smoothly and he is healing with no problems.  There is NO daily maintenance for upkeep required on him. SAMMY is 3 years old and weighs 11.30 pounds.  He is leash trained and rides well in the car.  I call SAMMY the daddy of the group of dogs around here because he acts like everyone's loving dad.  Especially with the puppies, he cleans them and gently plays with them and he knows what he is doing because he plays a little rougher with the older/bigger dogs. He is a great dog with all of the dogs and if one does not play with him he will get in their face and bark at them for a moment until another dog comes along and plays with him SAMMY is very social and friendly with everyone he meets.  He was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX in horrible shape, simply horrible.  His mats were at least 10 months old and it took me 2 days to get them off.  Oh by the way he looks scruffy and a bit raggedly because I groomed (hacked) him myself so he could have his neuter surgery.  I did not have time to have him properly groomed before the surgery.  I will clean him up again in a few days and post new pictures of him. SAMMY would do best in a home with another dog that he can play with.  He would be bored bad being the only dog.  I do NOT have cats in my home so I do not know how he would do with cats and I do not have the ability to cat test him.  I know he was on the streets a long time surviving the best he could.  Since being in my house he has been a great houseguest and has given me no problems.   If you are interested in adopting SAMMY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.MIMI is ap very pleasant and loyal pet to have as a companion.  She is 1 1/2 years old and 12 pounds.  She cuddles but not a velcro dog.  She goes to the back door to go potty, I do not have a doggy door. She gets along with other dogs as she is in a foster home, we do not have a shelter.  She does not get car sick and walks well on a leash.  She has been a great guess in my home. She was found on the streets in terrible shape, horribly matted and had been hit by a car  She had to be shaved down she was so matted so her coat is still growing out  She will probably need to be groomed every 8 weeks.  I hope to get better pictures of her soon. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Welcome SAMSON to our home.  This mellow guy is an owner surrender who came from a retired couple that are experiencing medical problems and unable to care for him any longer.  Although he is getting along with the foster dogs in my home he is accustomed to be the only dog in the home.  I think another mild mannered dog would be a good pet-mate for him or a home where he is the only dog. SAMSON is 4 years old and weighs a plump 31 pounds, he needs to lose about 5 pounds!  His former home gave him lots of human food and he is use to being spoiled with it.  SAMSON is mostly poodle with some Maltese in him which makes his hair straight in some places but mostly he is curly. The hair on his face is straight and a curly body.  He also has a cute speckled nose. He is happy and bounces around on his walks, he loves to go for walks and is very familiar with the car, he jumps right in and watches all of his surroundings. If you would like to adopt SAMSON please submit an application on the website below or you can call me.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
