Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs on to their new adopting families leaving in April 4th 2025 from Southern California where we are located to the East Coast. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Biscuit to our trip for the right home 💕 As always, for peace of mind for our adopting families we never ask for ANYTHING up front. Adoption fee/travel costs are always due when we arrive in person with Biscuit in hand ❤️
Meet Biscuit 💙 He turned 1 year of age on 3/5/25. He weighs right at the 10 lb mark. Yes, he is full grown and at a healthy weight. He is set to be neutered on 3/21/25. He will also be current on vaccines, microchipped, have a thourel exam with our vet who will clear him prior to being available for adoption.
He is a total sweetie pie!!! He loves to be snuggled, and melts at any chance to be right under your arm, with his paw in your hand. He is the ultimate cuddler, and will never turn down a good cuddle session 💙💙💙
He is amazing with dogs and LOVES cats too. He grew up with 3 cats that he adored. He is a friend to literally any animal that will let him be 😊 He is very playful with other dogs, but very calm with cats. He feeds off energy, and respects boundaries very well. He adjusts to what his friends are like. He is beautifully natured, and while he really loves the company of other animals, his attention is equally given and spent with those he loves outside of them so if he becomes the only pet in his next home I'm certain he would be just fine with that ❤️
He is not a barker, but will definitely let any unfamiliar sound know he is there. He does listen well. and will let you take over in any situation. He has been very easy to train, and work with as his attentiveness to his person is undeniably strong. He wants to please you, and being a good boy is what he does best ☺️
He has great house manners, so having him in your home won't be stressful as he will lounge near you while you tend to other things around the home playing with a favorite toy, chewing on a favorite bone, or simply taking a nap. He loves watching tv, so if you have a good show you have been dying to watch and didn't want to watch it alone, well look no further because Biscuit will be that guy!! And while he won't bring the snacks he sure will help you eat them and will promise to never talk through your favorite part 🙃
He is amazing on road trips and really loves the center console dog booster seats because it means he gets to keep one paw on you during the whole trip 😉 He loves leash time as well and loves to take walks around the neighborhood, or to sit at your favorite coffee shop especially if they have biscuits waiting for him 🙃
He is house trained, and does really well going outside to use the restroom when asked to. We take him out every 3-4 hours throughout the day and never have accidents in between. If he needs to go out sooner than we ask him, he will give us a few barks to let us know. He is communicative when he needs something so picking up on his cues will be important in his continued training moving forward. He doesn't make it hard to please him, I assure you that!! He is as easy as they come, and is happy that he has someone to talk to that will make sure his needs and occasional wants are met ❤️❤️
He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night. He sleeps very peacefully throughout the whole night. He could definitely transition to a dog bed aside yours at night or in bed with you if that's what you want, as he is very adaptable to change and would love being closer to you anyway he can 💕
His prior owner was a single mom taking care of a newborn. When she separated from her partner the weight of her new life fell hard on her shoulders leaving her having to move back home with her parents until she was able to get back on her feet. She knew it wasn't fair to keep her sweet boy in such an unstable time in her life, especially with the loss of support she had in caring for him so she reached out to us to take him in and find him the home he deserved to have.
As of now his adoption fee is on our website at the very bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/biscuit
It will cover his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, and his exam with our vet. If additional vetting is needed such as a dental cleaning then his fee will be adjusted to help offset those extra costs. As always his adoption fee also goes back into the care involved in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs, and his training.
