Story
Brother to Fido and Zac. Surrendered by a breeder, I find myself unsure of people, yet longing to be loved.  I’m Reno, a 1 yr old PURE BREED MINI POODLE Boy, weighing about 20 #, who is uncertain of the outside world. Having lived most of my first year with little human socialization, I’m shy, timid, reserved and skittish to people and situations. ( NOT Aggressive ). On the “FLIP SIDE” I LOVE other dogs, am gentle, good natured and playful! My fear CAN BE CORRECTED with your love, understanding and time. Poodles are known to be very intelligent. I’m no acceptation. Do you know what else is GREAT about us poodles? You guessed it. We are HYPER ALLERGENIC. Although I’m smart, I have no idea what HYPER ALLERGENIC means, but guess it’s a good thing to be! Living in a kennel environment at my rescue, I still have a few things to learn about being a dog, but with your help, I’m sure this won’t take long. Just having consistent care givers I’m already learning to give and take love here. Being VERY DOG FRIENDLY, another dog would be best in my new home, but not required. Sorry, no kids due to my skittishness, for my safety. NO issues with aggression, just safety.  I do require a 4 ft fenced yard due to my fear, shyness just for my safety as well. So, what ya think? Do you want to take a “GAMBLE”, “Roll the Dice”, and “HIT the JACKPOT”! I’m “Betting” RENO won’t last long! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 9:23 pm

Brother to Reno and Fido. Even tempered, playful, eager to please and gentle, but having had little socialization with people, I am also timid, shy and skittish. My name is Zac. Hebrew in origan, Zac means “The Lord has Remembered” or “God’s Gift”! Having been surrendered by a breeder and little socialization, I’m longing for a family to trust. My shyness/skittishness can be corrected with time.  Exposing me slowly to new things, sharing your home, providing positive reinforcement and praise will help me bond to you for life. Then, I will be “God’s Gift” to you. At 1 year old and about 20#, I’m Very dog friendly, only hesitant to people and NEVER Aggressive. Running, playing ball, other dogs or with toys, are all things I’ve learned while in rescue. I’ve shown eagerness to please, an even temperament, and affectionate once I trust your touch. Due to my shyness, a 4 ft fenced in yard will be required to adopt me. Sorry, no kids since I am still fearful of fast motions may cause me to bolt.   Did you know, we poodles athletic, agile, very intelligent and “Hyper Allergenic”? Yes, that’s what I hear. Just look into my deep dark eyes and tell me you don’t see my hope for the future, hope for a family, hope of better things to come. I’m Zac, a little boy yearning to share “The Best of Times”, with YOU! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Story
Hey everyone, my name is SIMON, (a “Biblical” meaning “He Who Hears”). Well, since being surrendered due to no fault of my own, I’ve heard NOTHING BUT PRAISE for how CUTE, Happy Go Lucky and an all-around Great Boy I am! Being only 20# full grown Mini Poodle at 3 years old, initially I looked like a “Rag Mop”. After my Spa Day, I can actually see, move freely and show off my good looks. My long curly locks have left leaving a silky soft short coat that is White with Black/Gray highlights and cute “Pink” skin shining through. My breed is even “Hypoallergenic”! My hair does grow fast, so grooming needs to be done every 8-10 weeks or I get matted. I was a breeder surrender and have never lived in a home. But Poodles are known for intelligence and can be crate and house trained.  Being a little boy, it’s really not hard. Have you ever heard of “Little Boy Doggie Wraps”? These go around my belly and “little boy part”. Most of us mature boys learn “Oh, so quick”. Really! I would never lie to you! How about Leash walking? Well, I’m already getting quite good, if I say so myself. Enough about that… my best characteristics include: I LOVE other Dogs, Cats, considerate Kids and Adults of all ages. Shy at first, then once comfortable, I get so excited when attention is given, and I give back as well. Well, “Simon Says”, log in, complete an application and then we can talk about life together. I’m “Simon”, a “Goofy, Fun Loving, Eager To Please, Playful” little boy that has SOOOOOOOO much love to give, “Simon Says” it’s time to “Change your life and mine” for years to come. I’m up for adoption, so if you’re interested in more information about me, please email mollysplacepets@aol.com.  Remember to check your spam folder so you don’t miss getting an email back. Story
Hi, My name is Artie.  I’m a happy little guy that was surrendered due to no fault of my own.  Upon arrival, I looked more like a mop than a puppy.  After a haircut and bath, I’m all spiffed up and feeling so much better!  Good news, turns out I don’t need glasses and can actually see without all that hair in my eyes.  …what I relief, I thought I might be going blind. I’m a poodle puppy, almost 5 months old.  I’m a cross between a mini and standard poodle, so I’ll probably be medium sized.  I’m hypoallergenic, …whatever that means.  I’m still a baby and learning new things every day. This is my friend Millie who visits to help socialize us pups with kids.  I’m not sure what socialize means, I just know I love it when she holds and cuddles me.  I have friends here, so I I’m good with other dogs.  I get soooo excited and love to romp and play.   Apparently I’m up for adoption, not quite sure what that means either.  I think it means I go to a new place to live where I get showered with LOTS of love and attention.  I’ll get my own bed and a HUGE pile of toys  ….maybe even my own credit card too!  Just what a boy like me dreams of, so I’m down for that. If you’re interested in more information about me, please email mollysplacepets@aol.com.  Remember to check your spam folder so you don’t miss getting an email back. Story
DOB 1-28-2024 Sage, sweet and cute, gets along well with the other pups, loves to play and loves toys. Adorable little Pomapoo, very social and adorable. Adoption fee is 700.00, transport fee is 165.00 and is paid to HEARTS, our wonderful transport team. HEARTS leaves every other Friday and delivers to the North East on Saturday. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Hi, I'm Kodi! I am a lovely little poodle mix looking for my furever home. I have a bubbly and sweet personality, and enjoy lots of TLC. I came to the shelter with another dog who has since been adopted, so I could likely live with one again. I am not sure how I feel about cats but I am certainly willing to try with proper introduction. I have a gentle disposition and could probably live with kids of all ages too. I hope you can find room in your home and heart for a pup like me! ---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Most people have heard of “Peter Rabbit” or “Peter Pan”, but few have heard of “Peter the Pup”! Well, “Peter” the Pup has arrived! I’m  “Peter” the pup, a very Very Cute Cockapoo boy about 1 year old and weighing approximately 20#. Just look at my mug shot. I’m a gorgeous blend of White, Red, Golden and “Chestnut” colored curly coat with a big old smile on my face since being released from a breeding situation. Their loss is Your Gain! Cockapoos are a mix of Springer Spaniel and Poodles. Known world wide as “Designer Dogs”, we are “Hypoallergenic” with little if any shedding. With my thick luscious curly/kinky coat, I will need routine grooming. Cockapoos are also great family pets if given time, patients, positive reinforcement and consistency then I will acclimate to being a real dog. I do need some normal training presently being in a kennel type rescue situation. But my rescue team feels with my superior intelligence of my breed mix will serve me well in training. I am a little shy, reserved and hesitant at first with people, but I do warm up if given time, shown patients and loved.  Great with all other dogs, I am untested with cats. The need for OLDER children is due to my Skittishness, not due to aggression. I’m in NO WAY aggressive. A 4 foot fence is needed as well for security until I forget my past, bond and feel safe.  So what do ya think? Both Peter Pan and Peter Rabbit were free spirited, mischievous fictional characters who loved adventure. But now comes “Peter the Pup”, a Non-Fictional little boy who wants to be included in your adventures for years to come! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat.
